The sound effects roundups are back, and we have lots of new libraries that were submitted during our huge Black Friday sale. You can hear sounds of different vehicles like a LOUD vintage ‘40s racecar, a Nissan and BMW with flashy drivers, a Soviet-era fighter jet, and old bikes with unique quirks. You can also hear gurgling household water systems, shattered wooden planks, random items dropped onto carpet and concrete, three talkative cats, and subtle sounds that will give your soundscapes just what they need.     This library presents a vintage Gordini race car from 1947, recorded on a private race track.

    We captured a full lap and a half with three onboards microphones and a Schoeps MS for the exterior pass bys.

    Why a lap and a half ? Because the car broke down mid track, which made for several fantastic engine failure sounds.

    Witness the powerful loud (LOUD) sound of this vintage beauty and its trumpeting exhaust from hell.

    3 bicycles, all with a special sonical personality to them, were recorded:

    2 SCO gentlemen's bicycles, from 1970-1980, and 1 home trainer, a little younger than the others.

    Recorded inside a studio with the bikes either being on a dynamo or suspended from the ceiling, all bikes had lavalier microphones mounted front and back, and a microphone overhead of the rider. Some takes has a contact microphone track to add to the misery.

    The sounds were partly recorded with animals trained for media production, partly recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: african lions, bengal tigers, horses, donkeys, cows, exotic birds, owls, bobcats, pumas, dromedaries, wolves, dogs, geese, lemurs, gibbons and many more.

    All the content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image. All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these four mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.

    The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.
