  • Motion Texures is a broad library with a narrow purpose: to draw sonic lines and create gently moving sonic textures.

The concept is that consistent sound of friction will translate well to visual design elements that have CG and text movement on screen.

We recorded the friction sounds of dozens of small to medium sized props in constant motion. Major categories include metal, plastic, cloth, wood and skin. Some of the most interesting sounds came from the props that had small cavities such as the spray can lid and the water bottle. The constant changing of the cavity state relative to the mics creates strange vocal sounds.

Once the sounds were recorded we employed a proprietary smoothing process as a second pass to the sounds and provided them in addition to the original textures. These smoothed out sounds still have the organic quality of the original recordings, but with far fewer transient events. The end result are sounds that feel straighter than the more circular sounding original textures.

Inside of the Kontakt instruments we stacked layers and effects to create a broad base of deep and interesting textures. Many of the Kontakt presets mangle the sounds far beyond recognition of the original recordings.

    Motion Textures features

    • 92 unique original samples
    • 92 smoothed samples
    • 25 Kontakt unlocked design .nki files
    • 22 Kontakt unlocked raw texture .nki files
    • .nki files require full version of NI Kontakt 4 or higher

Note: Can be used without Kontakt too!
All Kontakt instrument libraries include fully unlocked and accessible metadata tagged .wav files. You don't need any version of Kontakt to use these files as a standalone sample library.

  • FOOTSTEPS is practically a whole rack of shoes compiled into one single outstanding playable KONTAKT 5 instrument: it comprises boots, dress shoes, high heels, leather shoes and sneakers. We got accurate recordings of paces on all sorts of different grounds: wood, concrete, gravel, metal, sand and parquet. In addition, we added a lot of generic sound layers that can be easily added to the mix. Those layers include sounds of cloth, leather, metal, grass, water and snow.

    Key specs
    • Playable KONTAKT 5 instrument
    • 5 different shoes, 8 different surfaces
    • More than 22.000 different samples
    • Effective workflow: well-grounded Soundminer Metadata

Oh, and of course it also covers the fact that our physical equipment supposes an amount of two feet, so the sounds come to you as distinguished by side and gesture: right or left foot taking steps, slides, stairs; tip, heel, full loading or relieving moves. All in all we recorded more than 22.000 different samples.

  • Clockworks Vol.2 is here. A new cinematic trailer loops collection of never-ending tick-tock, custom metal ticking, antique tick-tock, metronomes and grandfather clocks not recorded from traditional clock sources.

The sonic quality extends a large spectrum from modern to old, clean and rusty which allows you quick access to a range of clock-related sound effects organised in 4 WAV folders and 7 Kontakt instruments of rich, varied loops ready-to-use for any project.
All sounds are looped and synced in Kontakt to perfectly match the bpm of your project.

  • Destruction & Impact Sounds Piano, Mallet Strikes and FX Play Track 463-972 sounds included, 104 mins total From: $25

Have you ever dreamt of attacking a piano with a metal mallet? Dream no more! This library is available in two versions, a discounted bundle, and also in the further discounted “2017 InspectorJ Bundle” for 50% off!

    Piano, Mallet Strikes: (1.44 GB)
Recorded at 96kHz/24-bit stereo, this collection of sounds brings you 463 sampler-based metal mallet strikes with five variations. As opposed to playing the piano normally, these sounds were created by striking the string with a metal mallet, creating a harsher attack and a unique plucky percussive sound.

The sounds have been mapped to Kontakt 5 patches for quicker playing (requires the full version of Kontakt 5), but the raw files are also included. The five different samplers offer you a wide variety of durations:

Damped instantly (84 sounds; five octaves)
Damped after 1 second (97 sounds; seven octaves)
Damped after 2 seconds (97 sounds; seven octaves)
Damped after 5 seconds (88 sounds; six octaves)
Sustained fully (97 sounds; seven octaves)

    Piano, Mallet FX: (1.62 GB)
This collection of sounds brings you 509 FX sounds of various scrapes, hits and glissandos across the piano strings with a metal mallet, offering significant number of variations. Every sound was recorded at 96kHz/24-bit stereo.
Piano, Mallet Strikes and FX: (3.06 GB)
This collection of sounds is a discounted bundle of two libraries – “Piano, Mallet FX” and “Piano, Mallet Strikes” – to give you 509 FX sounds of various scrapes, hits and glissandos across the strings, as well as 463 sampler-based mallet strikes with five variations. Every sound was recorded at 96kHz/24-bit stereo.
  • Drones & Mood Sound Effects Infinite Pads and Drones for Kontakt Play Track 160 sounds included, 15min (embedded Loop points) mins total $29

“Infinite” specializes in dark drones, wide ambiances and thrilling textures that play with great depth and large stage.
Each of the 160 included samples was carefully handcrafted by treating various sources with a complex chain of hardware FX units. The resulting sounds can be used out of the box whenever it comes to the creation of impressive background layers or establishing otherworldly movie scenes.

The library contains two folders: North and South.
The sounds in the North folder still have trace elements of harmonic structures while the South folder provides textures without decent pitch.

All contained sounds have looppoints embedded so that they can play infinitely in the true sense of the word.
This is achieved best with the two additional Kontakt 4 instruments that have all sounds layered across the keyboard.
Nevertheless, the delivered WAV files can be loaded into any modern software sample with loop support.

  • Bo Ho – Kontakt Edition, is a new library of weird and wonderful sounds created from a cymbal being played with a violin bow. It consists of 52 clean recordings in WAV format, plus 8 manipulated, effected versions of some of the files, also in WAV format.

In addition to this, there are 15 Kontakt Instruments made up of different effects to all 60 WAV files, mapped to 60 keys on the keyboard, creating 900 individual sounds / drones / underscores when played with the full Kontakt Player (5.6.8 or above).

The sounds range from the haunting and the subtle, to the distorted ear bleeder and everything in between. The WAV files can be used on their own, or manipulated in any way. The Kontakt Instruments are all unlocked and fully editable, making the possibilities of different versions of the files infinite.

This library is a must for theatre / film / TV sound designers and for sound artists or for anyone who appreciates and uses strange sounds for any project.

Please note that the Kontakt instruments will only play on the full, latest version (5.6.8 or above).

  • 3 mic perspectives give full coverage on an antique typewriter in good working condition.  The typewriter had a loose front plate and we clacked, hit and dropped it for a wide range of cool typewritery sounds. Note: Can be used without Kontakt too!
All Kontakt instrument libraries include fully unlocked and accessible metadata tagged .wav files. You don't need any version of Kontakt to use these files as a standalone sample library.

  • 800+ sounds from one of the most complex and varied sounding instruments that we’ve come across in our junk shop travels. Broken strings, creaky wood and a great resonant cavity gave us a massive collection of sounds ready to be bent and twisted.

This is a fretless German harp zither, which differs in quality significantly from concert zithers, which have several strings with fretted necks beneath them. This version was manufactured by Friederich Menzenhauer, the father of the zither in the US. Zithers of this kind are notoriously difficult to identify because they contain no distinguishing marks on the bodies themselves, and the only branding is on the paper label deteriorating inside the soundhole.

Our version had been worn beyond all repair through decades of age and neglect. Broken strings, creaky wood and a great resonant cavity gave us a massive collection of sounds ready to be bent and twisted.

We did much more than just throw a couple of mics up and pluck – this instrument was recorded with a stethoscope mic, a lav inside the cavity, overhead xy, room mics, and more. We banged, scraped, bowed, ebowed, and thumped every last noise out of this one in three separate sessions. The end result was a collection of about 5 Gb of edited stereo 24 bit 96k sound.

The Kontakt instruments are where the real magic happens with this instrument. There are presets for horror string hits, angelic and demonic pads, old creaks and more. The zither barely survived, but it gave us an array of sounds that are very different from what you’ll get from a properly tuned and maintained instrument. It is the uniqueness of the decay that gives our zither its character.

Forgotten Zither is available in two versions

  • The Burroughs Protectograph that we acquired was manufactured around the turn of the 20th century and had a single unique function – to stamp and emboss checks for banks. The Burroughs corporation has been around since 1886, and was an early force in the adding machine, check stamper and typewriter industries. This Protectograph version had an electric mechanism that would move large printheads down through a ribbon and would stamp a check hard and repeatedly for as long as the print key was held down. Our machine was acquired in perfect working condition.

Its keys have a short through but a satisfying clack, and the punch mechanism is a huge whir stamp sound than can cycle if the punch button is held down. We rolled with the case both on and off, which revealed very different sounds from the main electric mechanisms.

We ran the whole session with three perspectives miked up – front by the keys, in the back by the punch and a wide perspective perfect for bgfx placement. The front and back mics were Schoeps CMC6.MK4 and the wide mic was an AT 4050 in omni about 5 feet away. Listen to the straight examples give a clear accounting of the type of sounds we got from this machine, and the bent examples show what can really be done with those sounds and the Kontakt instrument.

    Key features for Burroughs Protectograph

    • 3 mic perspectives of each performance
    • 10 unique articulation groups
    • 10 + performances per articulation
    • 13 Kontakt .nki files (unlocked)
    • .nki files require full version of NI Kontakt 4 or higher

Note: Can be used without Kontakt too!
All Kontakt instrument libraries include fully unlocked and accessible metadata tagged .wav files. You don't need any version of Kontakt to use these files as a standalone sample library.

  • Glass Bottle Percussion is a cinematic instrument built from 400+ sample recordings of antique glass bottles.

Our Audio Craftsmen meticulously edited, balanced and programmed 4 round robins and 3 velocity layers for each bottle, before integrating them into our Kontakt interface, giving Film Composers and Music Producers a suite of unique textures to use in their tracks. These sounds are perfect for trailer percussion loops, rhythmic tension, electronic music and film score cues with an exotic tonality.

The Main Articulations include: Drumstick Hits, Hand Taps, Bottle Top Hits, Drum Beater Hits, Nail Taps, Rolls, Scrapes and Wobbles.

But we didn’t stop there… As always with our Kontakt library releases, our in-house Composers designed an eclectic array of designed patches. Pads, choirs, drones, oil drums, screams, plucks and even karate chops give the user both tonal and atonal material to layer with their percussion, and build a haunting, glassy texture into their sound.

The 344 Audio Kontakt interface provides a variety of controls that encourage experimentation with the patches. The built in Arpeggiator is great for generating hundreds of percussion variations on the fly, while the Main View provides a set of parameters perfect for shaping the sounds your way.

Kontakt 5.8.1 or higher is required.
NOTE: This library does not run in the free ‘Kontakt Player’

  • Instruments Ponticello Play Track 90 sounds included $26

The “Cedar” library series is a collection of libraries, comprised of three different instruments:

    – Ponticello (the present one)

    – Sul Tasto

    – Bizzarro

Each volume is a single Kontakt instrument with a peculiar timbral personality. The entire series is created recording sounds from a luthier classical guitar. They can be used for composing and producing purposes – like an acoustic percussion setup – as well as for soundtrack composition and sound design in films, video games and any other multimedia product. “Ponticello” and “Sul Tasto” also feature a dedicated effects page that can be used to process the sounds in the library with several processors, both send and insert effects. They are “percussion oriented” sounds, while “Bizzarro” is a keyboard instrument.

    Introduction to “Ponticello”

The instrument contains 10 sets of sounds, called “Engines”. Each set has a dedicated channel strip in the interface and can be processed with a dedicated sub-page. You can also choose an individual audio output for further processing in your favorite DAW with effect plugins of your choice. Each sound has been recorded with two different mic placements, and you can mix them to your taste.
