Water and ocean sound effects – includes environments, movement, splashes and much more
Submersion is a sound effect library delivering over 1800 high quality sounds in 377 files (more than 10Gb), from bubbles and impacts over whooshes to ambiences, propellers sounds and many more, this collection has all you need to create an exciting underwater audio experience.
From raw recordings to ready-to-use sound effects, all the content has been recorded and designed at 24bit, 96 KHz, all fully tagged with metadatas, by sound designers Arnaud Noble and Benoît Marsalone.
This library is split in two different sections:
The Raw section:
Captured with the Aquarians H2a Hydrophone in different locations (pool, river or inside several props), the raw section allows you to sculpt, create, and edit your own sounds with more than 1300 individuals sounds, with many variations.
This is your toolkit for all your underwater scenes and projects.
The Designed Section:
This section provides you ready-to-use sounds (over 593 individuals sounds in 172 files), all created and designed from the Raw section materials.
From huge to tiny, this collection delivers Cinematic Impacts, Ambiences, Whooshes, Explosions, Propellers, Lava sounds, Sci-fi sounds and many more.

The Water Volumes SFX library gets you over 300 sounds of natural hot-springs, bubbles, and liquids of various densities boiling under the effect of dry ice.
A large amount of content was recorded during two weeks spent in the city of Furnas, Azores, where volcanic hot-springs of all kinds are active. Other recordings were gathered with the use of dry ice.
Most recordings will contain energy up to 96 KHz as they were recorded with a Sanken CO-100K at a 192KHz sample rate. Others were gathered with the use of an Acquarian H2A, Sennheiser MKH8040, 416, a Sony D100 and a Tascam DR-05.
The collection was recorded over a trip to Sao Miguel, Azores, and several other recording sessions in the UK.
The Hydrophone underwater sound effects library gets you a rich collection of water sound effects, captured with a DPA 8011 hydrophone.
It delivers you everything from bubbly underwater sounds, fizzes, droplets, dragging sounds, crab walking (!), underwater footsteps, bathtub drains, waves, splashes – and even an underwater scream.

WHAT SOUND PROFESSIONALS SAY:
Philip Eriksson – Audio Director (It Takes Two, Battlefield V, Star Wars: Battlefront I & II)
“Slava has some pretty kick ass sound libraries!”
Victor Mercader – AAA Sound Designer (Apex Legends)
“I find myself continuously using Slava’s SFX libraries to blend it’s pristine and detailed sound designs into my own sounds. They always add that cutting edge I am missing and make my sound designs more unique and pristine. The Sci-fi Elements sound library is the perfect library to use and blend into my UI designs in Apex Legends.”
Enos Desjardins – Sound Designer/Sound Effects Editor (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Black Mirror)
“Slava has been creating some really cool libraries which I find myself using time and again. Really high quality recordings to start with but then the cool processing he has used for example in his cinematic whoosh libraries really stand out. They are not just your standard generic whoosh sounds but are loaded with character and have a unique feel to them that is really fresh and cuts through in the nicest of ways.”
Bjørn Jacobsen – AAA Sound Designer (CyberPunk 2077, HITMAN, DARQ)
“Slava has for several years made high quality sound effects for me to play with. I use his sound libraries across multiple projects as lego blocks of my creations.”
Stefan Kovatchev – Audio Director (MultiVersus)
“Slava has put together an impressive collection of high quality source assets, recorded cleanly, and at high sample rates. It’s always refreshing to find a new purveyor of good source material. I particularly enjoyed Resonating Metal Force, which is comprised of very useable, unique tonal textures and impacts.”
Shane Tetro – AAA Sound Designer (Remnant II)
“Slava’s libraries feature high-quality, adaptable recordings and designs. There is plenty to dig through in every pack, making each library extremely dynamic for various applications. Their exceptional textures have significantly enhanced my workflow; consider me a fan!”
Samuel Gagnon-Thibodeau – Sound Designer/Sound Effects Editor (Dream Scenario, The Watchers, Hunting Daze)
“Slava’s Cinematic Wood Symphony detailed textures and movements blend so well in what I’m usually looking for in terms of sound design. It really brings proximity and sensitivity to the action while feeling real and natural. The creative blend of the wooden sounds with whooshes and impacts also makes them very unique. I’m finding myself coming back to them more and more as they fit in many situations.”
Yarron Katz – AAA Composer and Sound Designer
“Slava makes some wonderful libraries. He’s relatively new on the scene and his libraries have come to critical acclaim. He takes some general ideas, like whooshes and he injects some extremely revolutionary and innovative ideas to them, so you’re not getting another whoosh library – you’re getting something very unique, very fresh. He brings some wonderful ideas to the table.”
We recorded everything you would expect from such a place: extremely quiet room tones with various levels of rumble, water dripping sounds of many densities, at various distances, howling and whistling winds, all sorts of underground water streams, plus a terrific metal door, phantom-like distant voices, and a few rock falls.

Underwater is a collection of 185 individual sounds to get you started on your underwater adventure. These sounds work especially well in documentaries involving underwater photography, as well as films that need bullets penetrating water as the hero dives under and swims away from the villains.
This collection provides underwater motion, impacts, bubbles, objects penetrating the surface, tapping, bouncing, dripping water, and some miscellaneous sounds for when your sound design imagination goes off the deep end.
Discover everything from the peaceful sound of waves gently streaming through slippery rocks, from inside a hollow, beached buoy, and on the beach, directly facing the sea, to the full force of mother nature, being recorded from twenty feet above, as massive waves crash onto a cliff face, salty water permeating the air
The 30 separate audio files, free of seagulls, people, or ships, will provide you with a variety of pure and colourful recordings, which you can never have enough of. They bring character to any scene you might choose to lend them to, at the fraction of the cost and time required to go out and record them yourself!
In addition to that, every single file in this library has been carefully tagged with rich, descriptive SoundMiner metadata, which will save you time when navigating it and allow you to finish projects much faster! The metadata consists of intuitive, visual keywords which allow you to more quickly and efficiently find the files you need!
This library is useful for, but not limited to: Feature Films, TV Series, Short Films, YouTube Videos, Games, Meditation, and more!
Also, if you’d like to know more about how I recorded this library, read my blog post here.
The Drip delivers a comprehensive set of dripping sound effects that could be used in movies, video games etc. with both ambience sounds for backgrounds, and single sounds for spotting individual drops on various surfaces.
A variety of microphones were used to capture the different sounds in this collection: Telinga Microphones for a real zoom perspective, Mkh8040+30 for ambiences, a Mkh416 & Emesser mic for certain sfx sounds, and a set of Mkh 8020 for the real quiet sound effects sources.
This bundle includes 4 different libraries.
The Baltic Sea sound library is compilation of 56 WAV files recorded with Sound Devices 702, Rode NTG3, Sony PCM-M10, two Oktavas MK012 set in MS, XY and ORTF setup. All the sounds were recorded far away from the cities and roads. Since most of the sounds were recorded in late winter, there are no insects or birds in background. There are few files that includes the sound of birds, but I left them on purpose, because of the overall feel of the files. In this library you will find beautiful sound of waves crushing on the rocks and shore, recorded from different perspectives in different stereo configurations, during calm and windy days. In addition to those sounds, there’s foley like walking, running and swimming in the water.
The Harbours Of Norway sound library features 25 files with ambients recorded in Myre, Sto and Nyksund, very small towns with direct access to the sea. Most of the sound effects were recorded at night, but since it’s a polar day time of the year, it was very pleasurable to walk and look for convenient places to set up my gear. Everything was recoded with ORTF setup built from two Sennheisers MKH 8040. Inside this library, you’ll find a lot of seagulls, waves crushing on the rocks and plants, windy ambients from the cliff, industrial sound from port in Myre with ship unloading the cargo, walla with steam engine boat and additional sounds from boat engine market and air cooling aggregates from food containers. Every file was recorded in 96kHz, edited (i removed any unintentional bumps, pops and unwanted sounds). I limited EQing to removing harsh frequencies, or enhancing a little bit the good sounding ones. At the end of the chain there is a small compression, for louder sounds.
The Summer Ambients sound library contains 33 beautiful WAV files recorded with Sound Devices 702, Rode NTG3, two Oktavas MK012 in MS and stereo XY pattern. All sounds were gathered in different and beautiful places like forests, lakes, meadows or swamps. You can expect amazing ambients, textures, different birds, insects, forest during rain, calm and windy days. It’s a perfect library for designing background sounds. Everything was recorded in amazing Masuria in Poland.
Summer ambients Update – library got 2x bigger and heavier than the original library. 59 additional files, 123 minutes of high quality audio recorded with Sennheiser MKH 8040 ORTF setup, Rode NTG3, Oktava MK012 XY setup plugged into SD702 and Sony PCM-10. It features ambients from the forests, ponds, swamps, meadows, lakes and suburbs recorded is very quiet locations, mostly just before the sunrise, during the day and before sunset far away from the cities.
Water Flow sound library took me about six months to record, consumed about 15 thermoses of tea and 42 litres of gasoline to get to all locations. It offers 90 BWAV files recorded in different locations. Huge part of this library is based on the recording sessions on the rivers. Two completely different locations, recorded regularly for the last 5 months allowed me to create this unique sound library. Most of the recording sessions took place during winter just before the sun was rising to reduce the amount of unwanted sounds. Almost all recordings are completely clear and only few have birds in background, since it was my intention to record some location ambients with natural backgrounds.
You can see the metadata and sound list below.
Liquidation is a liquid texture library covering everything from water to slime to fizzes and bubbles. Source material in this library includes wet slimy pasta, giant water balloons, large containers being submerged underwater, leather fizzing in a chemical bath, pool water splashes and more. Plus it was all recorded at 192kHz/24bit so you can really stretch and thrash these sounds – and the vast majority of the sound files are in stereo. Whether you're designing an underwater adventure or an alien autopsy, this library is full of complimentary textures to layer together.
This package now also includes Contact Mic River, which is a free mini sound library featuring underwater sounds of a rushing river. These recordings were made with contact microphones, but produced hydrophone-style sound which gels nicely with the Liquidation library. (Note that these sounds are only at 48kHz/24bit, but the rest of Liquidation is at 192kHz/24bit.)
Abstract Aqua sound effects library is a result of different field recording sessions with more experimental approach.
It features 208 192kHz WAV files, 92 designed sound effects and 116 RAW recordings. It was recorded with a Sound Devices 702 and Sony PCM-D100, Sennheiser MKH 8040 microphones, Rode NTG3 and Aquarian Audio hydrophone. Total length of the files is 334 minutes.
The designed files have more abstract feel to it, so you’ll find aqua whooshes, different underwater sounds and big sounding waves. The RAW files includes different wave recordings from the Baltic Sea, water foley sounds and effects recorded with hydrophones. You can find more informations in the library sound list.
This is not your regular water sound effect library:
Water Rush gets you a multitude of recordings from a group of 30 swimmers doing dives, swims, runs, walks and other movement in the water – for unprecedented control of the water sounds.
Features both solo and group takes, and multiple mic positions, including underwater recordings.
Fantastic for sports, battle scenes and countless other situations where you want precise control of the water sounds.
Need the sounds of people in water?
This library is the one you need:
Hydrophones are the perfect source of interesting sounds and textures, especially for further manipulations with their pitch and spectrum
This library contains cool recordings of melting ice, drips, streamlets, bubbling, rain, fizz, underwater movement, submerging of hot or burning things and even heavy boiling (which destroyed my hydrophone completely). These textures sometimes sound completely out of this world and could spice up your SFX very nicely.
All recordings were made with at 96 kHz sample rate for further manipulation, and the sounds are categorized by their source for easy navigation and contains extensive metadata.
If you are looking for nice addition to your SFX production arsenal – this library is for you!
KEY POINTS:
Wetland Atmosphere is a collection of pristine ambiences recorded at wetlands, marshes, bogs, lakes and other similar areas around Europe.
The library consists of 33 recordings ranging from 3 to 10 minutes in length, available both as stereo and surround. The recordings have been captured with a Sennheiser Double Mid-Side rig which was left out overnight in remote locations. This was to make sure that man-made noise and human interaction was kept to a minimum.
The library is accompanied by a comprehensive species list covering 68 birds and 7 amphibians in total.
Highlights include Bitterns with their booming calls, Common Loons and their wails being reflected off of trees, geese, ducks and swans making a racket, the insect-like clicking of Savi’s Warbler and the incessant croaking of various frogs and toads.
This library gets you both the sounds of a tugboat / motor engine boat, as well as a sailboat.
It delivers powerful boat engine sounds such as accelerations, stopping and idle sounds. You also get radio VHF chatter, cabin roomtone, splashing waves, the sounds of anchors being dropped and handled and mainsail hoisting sounds. There’s also lots of ropes creaking and squeaking, winches, furlers, genoas flapping and raising, sailboat interiors with light swells. Finally, it includes some quiet ambiences from a big city marina.
So if your project calls for boat sounds, there’s lots to work with here:
‘FOUNTAINS’ gets you 100 pristine stereo recordings of various fountain sizes, types, and perspectives (including 15 hydrophone recordings). Each file is between 40 sec and 2 min long, mono compatible, and is fully loopable, ready to be used in any project.
Over a period of one year, I recorded various fountains from different perspectives and distances – and even underwater. And, as with every sound library from Articulated Sounds, the files are embedded with metadatas (Soundminer/iXML/XMP/BWAV/ID3).
So if you need the sound of fountains (or simply the sound of water), this library delivers nearly two hours of excellent, ready-to-use recordings:
“The Zinc Mines” is a collection of high quality ambient and close up recordings from within the various levels, drifts, shafts and caverns of the underground Zinc Mines located in Grue, Norway.
Specifically these recordings were done in the mines called “Nysetergruvene”. The atmosphere inside the mountain mine is cold and wet, with water dripping between levels, trickling down shafts and dripping in large pools.
The recordings vary from extremely quiet and sparse dripping to gushing intense waterfalls with varying distance to source.
This sound library was carefully recorded, processed and crafted to offer a unique toolset for your water and underwater design needs.
Great for hyper realistic or abstract designs, fantasy genre with water based magic, creature or surreal underwater movement, motion graphics with liquid elements and textures.
This Sound Library is a part of the Slava Pogorelsky – Complete Bundle.

‘Splash Sound Effects’ from Bluezone contains 98 meticulously recorded sounds in 24 bit / 96 kHz: All samples in this collection are ready to use and perfect for all sound design projects. Easily downloadable and affordable, you can inject these inspirational audio elements into your commercial projects without having to worry about any additional licensing fees. All sound files are named according to their content and sorted thematically: small and classic water splashes, distant perspective, impacts and drops. Note: the background ambience in the demo is not part of the product but is added free of charge.
