  • Animal Sound Effects Collections Animal Hyperrealism Vol I Play Track 290+ sounds included $170

Animal Hyperrealism Vol I is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 1300 individual sounds in 290 files.

The sounds were partly recorded with animals trained for media production, partly recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: african lions, bengal tigers, horses, donkeys, cows, exotic birds, owls, bobcats, pumas, dromedaries, wolves, dogs, geese, lemurs, gibbons and many more.

All the content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image. All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these four mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.

The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.

Bonus: Two extra libraries included for free:
This library also includes two additional releases from Mattia Cellotto - for free: Crunch Mode delivers 230 crunchy sounds made with a variety of vegetables, fresh bread, pizza crust and a selection of frozen goods. The Borax Experiment gets you 158 squishy, gory, slimy and gooey sounds.

  • Animal Sound Effects Collections Animal Hyperrealism Vol II Play Track 2000+ sounds included $170

Animal Hyperrealism Vol II is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 2000 individual sounds in 283 files.

The sounds were partly recorded with animals trained for media production, partly recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: amur leopards, bottlenose dolphins, californian sealions, pacific walruses, red ruffed lemurs, owls, parrots, dwarf little fruit bats, hamsters, guinea pigs and many more.

The content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image.
A special section of the library features samples recorded at 384KHz. For these sounds an additional microphone was employed, specifically the CMPA by Avisoft-Bioacoustics which records up to 200 KHz. This microphone was actually used to record most of the library but the 384KHz format was preserved only where energy was found beyond 96KHz not to occupy unnecessary disk space.
All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these for mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.

  • Animal Sound Effects Born Wild Play Track 2000+ sounds included $449

    What is this?

BORN WILD is a massive collection of wild animals sounds and wild sounds of animals, highly focused, from a large panel of species, recorded thoroughly through 40 various National Parks, reserves, wildlife centers, and sanctuaries on all continents.

We ‘domesticated’ planet earth and shaped it to our ideal human imaginary needs. Before that, the world belonged to nobody, wilderness was the norm! Powerful, wild and sometimes weird animals ruled the world.

Despite the current accelerating extinction of biodiversity, wildlife still exists in small pockets, and many animals are still alive and have a voice!

Naturally wild animals became the backbone of our project, but also wild sounds of animals in general. We thus literally went hunting for sounds. Though this kind of hunt gratefully does not harm Nature or animals.

With this library, we really went above and beyond. We explored all 4 corners of the world in places we wouldn’t have expected. Similar to wildlife photography, we sharpened our tools and methods to get the correct zoom with the right focus on the sounds of these animals. Along the way, we got some mishaps and misadventures which are part of the process. We thankfully are still alive; hence we can now today offer you the fruit of our quest.

Born Wild is now becoming the pinnacle of our Articulated sound journey, and we are proud to present it to you. We believe this library will give instant gratification as the content is so unique, rich, and meticulously curated.

We also hope that this library can sensitize and leverage efforts in protecting the planet where we all come from. This is why we are giving 3% of all sale revenue to ONG caring about wilderness and conservation.

Let’s keep our wild instinct alive!

  • Recorded by pioneer of film sound design, Ann Kroeber, the Ann’s Animals library showcases a unique variety of animal sounds and vocalizations. Including common, wild, and exotic creatures – ranging from pigs and frogs to capuchin monkeys, caribou and more – this special collection is equally useful and inspiring for practical sound editing and creative sound design.

Animal recordings play a significant role in Kroeber’s sonic legacy, and she is widely celebrated for her natural approach and incredibly expressive results. Her sense of presence with the animals and finely tuned listening shines through in these sounds – from the gentle, subtle breaths and purrs of cheetahs to a sprawling chorus of jungle frogs. Create thoughtful and powerful creature designs with these characteristic animal roars, shrieks, snorts, cries, buzzes, and more.

Following the acclaimed sound libraries Cinematic Winds, Industrial Sounds with Soul, Stallion, and Beautiful Bugs, Ann’s Animals is the fifth exclusive release by Pro Sound Effects curated from Sound Mountain: Kroeber’s venerable private recording collection created over decades of film sound work with her late husband, Alan Splet. Kroeber has since worked on or supplied sounds for film, television, and games – including 6 movies that won an Academy Award® in sound, and 7 additional nominations.

  • Animal Sound Effects Collections Animals Bundle Play Track 234+ sounds included, 308 mins total $140

This bundle was built with 5 different sound libraries.

Experience the sound of the honey bees‘ hive. All files were recorded outside the town, far away from the roads to capture the clean sound of hard working bees. 14 stereo files were recorded with Sound Devices 702, Sony PCM-M10 recorder, two DPA 4061 microphones hidden inside a hive and two Sennheiser MKH 8040 to capture the ambient in front of the hive. Every stereo AB interior recording can be split to mono to isolate the single buzzes. Recording those sounds was one of my dreams as a field recordist. I always wanted to hear the interior sound of a hive. This session wasn’t the easy one, because of my strong allergic reaction to bees, but thanks to a proper clothes and suit, I was able to walk through the bees for 2 hours without any harm. My main goal was to capture different sounds, not only the ambients but also some close ones, like the sound of the bees landing on their landing zone or just the interior sound of the hive. The overall character of the sound really depends on the time of the year and time of the day. I had a chance to record those insects before the feeding time. They were hungry and really active. The total length of recorded files is 44 minutes.

The Cat – Meow Library features 130 files ( 51 192kHz, 79 96kHz ) recorded with Sennheiser 8040 / Rode NTG3 and Sony PCM-D100. This small bundle contains different sound effects made by two very vocal cats. From subtle squeaks and digging in litter box, through eating and purrs to loud meows.

The Cormorants sound library was recorded during 4 recording sessions spread through the course of two months. As you can hear in the preview file, the sounds of cormorants are really detailed, because of the super close perspective. In some cases, cormorants were literally walking on my DPA microphones. All files were recorded in 96kHz and 24bits with equipment like: Sound Devices 702, Sony PCM-M10, Rode NTG3, two Oktavas MK012 with different adapters and capsules and two DPA 4061. When it comes to the usability of this library, I think that it’s a great source material for designing sound for different creatures. The textures of nestling recordings are perfect to start designing sounds of small out of the world animals. Some of the files also contain seagulls, which unfortunately are a part of cormorants colonies. The amount of those ‘unwanted’ sound effects in my files is really low though, and some of them were left on purpose. Even though it’s all about cormorants, the single squeaks those seagulls can make are really great. This library contains 32 files with total length of 119 minutes.

The Eurasian Cranes sound library was so far the hardest to record. Eurasian cranes, also called common cranes are beautiful and really easy to scare big birds. This library features the sound of more than 1000 birds singing their song at the same time. If you’r not familiar with those birds, here’s a link to wikipedia. I finally got a chance to record them. It wasn’t my first attempt. More than one year ago I’ve tried to do the same thing, but because of the lack of experience, I’ve ended up with bad recordings. I did not wanted to repeat my mistakes, so I’ve spent the whole night in the wild, testing my gear and patience, got bit by mosquitoes to record those animals. You can hear the results in the preview. All sounds have HPF set to cut out anything below 100Hz, because of the trains passing by from time to time somewhere in the distance. It doesn’t affect the sound of the cranes since there’s no informations in the lows. When it comes to recording wild animals, you have to accept and take whatever you’ve been given. It was impossible for me to come closer to those birds, or avoid the sound of wind going through the reed, because few more steps would scare the birds. All the files were recorded with Sound Devices 702 and two Oktavas MK012 set into ORTF. All the hardware was set in the reed in deep mud, and cranes were standing about 40m away.

The Roaring Stags contains 45 files recorded with Sound Devices 702, two Oktavas MK012 set in XY pattern, and Rode NTG3. All files sounds different, because I was recording everything in the middle of the forest during different times of the day. Recording wild animals is not something you can plan, and I had to record whatever I could, no matter what was happening around. About 90% of the files were deleted, and this 65 minutes of audio is 10% I got left with. In this sound library you’ll find reverberant sounds and ones that has less of the reverb. The distance between me and stags was changing, and that’s the reason of different amount of reverb. Also the animals were constantly moving, and sometimes they turned in completely opposite direction, so roars sounded more distant. Sometimes between roars you’ll hear subtle sounds of me moving close to microphones. I left those sounds so anyone can make cuts in desired places, but those subtle sounds happens very rarely.

  • This library focuses on isolated recordings of single insects, mainly from Northern Europe. While all insects have been recorded in the wild in Northern Europe, most also appear in all of Europe, Asia, North Africa and some have been introduced to America and Australia too.

For this library I recorded various species of wild bees, wasps, bugs, cicades, grasshoppers, flys, dragonflies, butterflies, ants, sandfleas and underwater bugs. A detailed list of all species is at the end.

You will find flybys, wing buzzes, hums, rattles, little feet, stridulations, jumps and even bites.

Over the course of years I improved my recording of these little animals by approaching them with a set of different micing techniques, always looking for the best spots to record these small creatures, making sure not to disturb them.

Many recordings were performed with microphones and recorders that go up to 192kHz to capture the ultra frequencies emitted by some individuals. Some grasshoppers you won’t even hear unless you pitch them down or play them slower.

While I find their crispy, clear and often bassy sounds lovely, some of the noises of the animals can be decribed as annoying, scary, sharp or intensive.

But besides for the original recorded species, these noises can be used to create swarms or all kind of insects or little creatures, like elves, aliens and fairies.

  • Wozówka the tortie likes to talk and she likes to purr. And she’s often multitasking, like a typical 21st century person.

Being in the 5th year of her life she has developed a decent vocabulary. She code-switches, too, depending on whether she’s safe at home, or on alert in the woods. Every mood she goes through is marked with a different meow.

Roughly half of the sounds here are made indoors in mono, close miked with a Lom Usi. The rest is made outdoors in stereo with a Telinga.

    The library is UCS compliant.

    Product Description:

“The Animal Symphony – Alpaca” offers a collection of 15 high-quality audio tracks, with a total of 54 individual sounds. The audios are organized with an intuitive nomenclature, allowing you to easily exchange the different microphone jacks and choose which one to use or combine them all. Using two high-end microphones, the Sennheiser MKH 8050 and an EM258 capsule microphone, along with a Zoom H6 recorder for stereo sound, we have captured every detail and nuance of these sounds. Recordings were made at 24-bit and 192kHz/96kHz, ensuring professional clarity and depth.

This collection offers a wide variety of cries and other sounds made by alpacas. These sounds are perfect for adding realism and authenticity to your projects. With multiple takes and variations, this library provides the flexibility needed for any type of production requiring sounds from these animals. All recordings have been carefully edited to remove external noises, such as other birds, wind or people. Furthermore, thanks to the ultrasonic microphones used, it is guaranteed that whoever decides to tone it down will still get a rich frequency.
