This week on A Sound Effect, we have 12 new sound libraries that will take your sound design to another level. We have two powerful virtual instruments – one with hard-hitting cinematic effects and the other with robust engines – as well as a wacky trumpet UI collection. Slime

Materials & Texture Sound Effects Slime Play Track 949 sounds included, 72 mins total $30

Viscous materials are probably one of the more common elements that come up on a regular basis, and one of the grossest to record. Let me save you the trouble. Slime is a collection of different Viscous materials ranging from literal slime to more abstract slime-like sounding materials like rubber.

One of the featured sounds of the library is a gallon of slime being tossed around, man-handled, and squished.

All the items in this collection were recorded at 192khz with a Sanken CO100k, so there's a lot of flexibility to be had pitching and manipulating the sounds.

This library was made for the small stuff. I have always had a hard time finding small fire sounds. I work mostly in games, and trying to find a small fireplace sound, or torches on the wall in a castle, or perhaps a candle or oil lamp sound, are impossible to find in commercial libraries! I've always been unhappy with what I had to make for those elements. So, I went to work getting small and delicate fire sounds.

It took multiple field recording trips using a variety of different materials to find the best small fire sounds. Finally, after a lot of hard work (and smoke to the lungs), here is the Small Fire SFX Library!
