It’s time for us to introduce you to some of the new sound libraries available on A Sound Effect – and we have some great bundles and sources that are hard to find except by these outstanding field recordists.
Are you looking for sounds from a farmer’s market in Shenzen? Or perhaps zebras fighting or a grunting hippo in Botswana? 'Shenzhen' by Jzoo Sound is the first ever sound library of the Silicon Valley of China. This collection captures various atmospheres at different times of the day. You'll hear an energetic local farmer's market, howling subway tubes, local middle school performances and annoucements, old alleyways in a forgotten part of town, city construction - and more - giving you a local and interesting side of China.
'Botswana' by Faunethic is a unique collection of 49 sounds recorded in several of the country's national parks (Okavango, Chobe). This collection offers diverse soundscapes from villages, savannas and forests as well as sounds of hippopotami grunts, elephants showering and drinking, zebras and impalas fighting, lions chasing an elephant, birds and insects at different perspectives, and more!
'Effective Trailer Risers' by Federico Soler Fernández has over 100 cinematic riser effects and epic buildups that feature distorted synths, eerie whispers, sci-fi glitches, hardcore guitars, dramatic reverses, thrilling leads and evolving textures. This library comes from the personal collection of trailer music composer Federico Soler Fernández whose works include Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Middle Earth: Shadow of War, Halloween (2018) and The Predator (2018).
'Twisted Reality - Drones & Other Worlds' by WW Audio brings you 50 dark, twisted, ominous and magical drones for all your sound design needs. These are perfect for creating unworldly atmospheres, made from original field recordings and twisted into something quite different. The styles vary from monotone drones to full soundscapes with styles portraying everything from a condemned man's last walk to a snow queen's ice palace.
'Comedy Stand-Up Crowd' by Carma Studio is a mini pack of over 30 sounds including laughter, applause and cheers to add comic relief to any of your production work whenever that comedic moment is desired. All sounds were recorded and edited at 24-bit/96kHz and each audio file includes embedded metadata.
'Sports Crowd Cheer!' by Carma Studio puts you in the middle of crowds of fans with a pack of over 40 crowd reactions from basketball, baseball, football and hockey games. You'll hear short crowd bursts to longer reactions with sirens and horns. You'll also hear cheers, boos, and reactions to scores, buzzers and more, recorded in arenas, ballparks, stadiums and courts.
'Classic Vehicles' by EPFX is a jam-packed classic vehicle sound library filled with fantastic engine starts, revs, idles, doors opening/closing, kick starts and more from a custom 1930 Ford Model A with a V8 flathead engine and a 1967 Triumph Bonneville. Recorded at 24 bit/192 kHz, you'll be able to pitchbend these sounds to your hearts desire and create some truly monstrous sounds!
'Medieval' by Smart Sound Effects is a curated package with everything you need to bring your medieval world to life.
