Fire

This fire collection is about small and unusual burning material. Here is great material that will fuel a large fire. Torch sounds recorded inside and outside. Flame with carbide chemical fire and Nitro gas burning. Pure flame sounds that become massive when slowing them down. And a gas flame thrower that will burn you down. Always ambisonic, definitively immersive.

About Ambisonics:
This is an Ambisonics sound effects library - and by using the free SoundField SurroundZone 2 plugin you can convert the B-format files into your preferred format (stereo, 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, 6.1, 7.0 or 7.1 surround). Note: The library also contains ready-made stereo mixdowns for your convenience.

Spitfires In Surround

Over 40 B-Format recordings of the iconic World War 2 fighter aircraft, in flight, on the ground, singly and in groups.

The library also includes some hard-to-find in-cockpit recordings of two landings and a takeoff of a Mk. IX variant, transcoded from the four-channel recording to B-Format and a 5.1 recording of a parade of 24 Spitfires at the celebration of ‘The Hardest Day’ at London’s Biggin Hill aerodrome.

Also included are two long-form recordings of the Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight’s Avro Lancaster Bomber with Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane escort.

Transcode with the free SoundField SurroundZone 2 plug-in in your DAW of choice, or use Svein Berge’s brilliant Harpex-B for stunning results.

Fire Burning Stove

Fire Burning Stove is a 30-minute collection of fire ambiences. With 21 files to choose from, the library was recorded throughout the life cycle of a fire. Featuring multiple variations, examples include the initial start up, full intensity and even down to the last dying embers.

Using both closed and open door perspectives, typical fire traits such as whining, crackling and popping can be heard throughout. A number of recordings also include the metal of the stove expanding/contracting due to to the heat.

Short of incinerating the recording gear, the library was recorded using a close mic'd perspective. With a minimum of 1 minute recorded per file, Fire Burning Stove was also entirely produced with looping in mind.

The London Warehouse Firearms Library – 4 users

Audiobeast is proud to present our first sample library; the first library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in interior spaces!

The London Warehouse Weapons Library contains over 6 GBs of weapons being fired in a large warehouse, medium warehouse, stairwell, office and small room. 291 WAV files all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.

Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the warehouse 50 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned behind doors and walls to capture the occluded gunfire.

As well as all the firing we've included all the foley as well, because while convolution reverb is great, nothing beats actual content!

Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully by Steve Whetman in his room at Pinewood Studios, so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.

Weapons fired in the large and medium warehouse spaces:
• Browning M2 .50 Machine Gun
• Steyr HS .50 M1 Sniper Rifle
• H&K 416 5.56 Assault Rifle
• Remington 870 12g Pump Action Shotgun
• Brown Bess Black Powder Musket
• Colt M1911 .45 ACP Pistol
Weapons fired in the stairwell, office and small room spaces:
• H&K 416 5.56 Assault Rifle
• Colt M1911 .45 ACP Pistol

Due to safety restrictions it was not possible to fire the bigger weapons in the smaller spaces, the ceiling was shaking while recording the Assault Rifle in the office and stairwell and came close to collapsing. Physically the Browning M2 .50 calibre Machine Gun would not even fit on the stairwell or in the small room.
