Elements: Ice is a collection of ice sounds recorded and edited over the 2015/2016 winter by George Vlad. The library is made up of more than 1500 individual ice sounds including cracks, creaks, hits, impacts, smashes, drags, stomps, splashes and water under ice ambience. The sounds have been recorded over more than 4 months in Romania and Scotland at temperatures ranging between -25C/-13F and 5C/41F.

The library’s most obvious use is as Foley elements since it covers a wide variety of ice thicknesses and performances. As is the case with other libraries in the Elements series, these sounds can also be used for other purposes such as gore sweeteners, glass or wood cracks, bone breaks etc. Additionally, all files are recorded and mastered at 24/96 quality which makes them excellent sound design elements ripe for serious processing.

The BMW 530D vehicle sound effects library was recorded with two track Sound Devices 702 recorder on the streets of Poland. Foley was captured with mono Rode NTG3 microphone. The engine sounds were recorded with two DPA 4061 omni microphones set under the hood.

The car sound effects were captured during regular driving, accelerating and decelerating. Engine was recorded in two different configurations with one mic in engine compartment and exhaust, and other one with two microphones set under the hood.

In addition to designed files, this library features RAW sounds pulled straight out of the recorder. In this 124-minute sound library you will find engine recorded onboard and outside, passby sounds, foley and engine recorded inside vehicles cabin.

Not every vehicle in a film or game is a high-powered 8-cylinder beast or a quick zippy race car. Sometimes what you need is a good old reliable van, and Soundholder has you covered. Quad City Berlin is a comprehensive collection of quadrophonic recordings from the busy and multifaceted german capital, the second largest city in the European Union.
It was created to work as an internationally usable library of urban ambiences while still capturing the unique sounds of Berlin. It’s a set of extensive and versatile recordings focused on large open spaces and the nice fat low-end hum of major city traffic.

Quad City Berlin comes in two flavors:
– Quad + MS: four channels with omni-directional mics + two channels mid-side (6 channels total, please check out diagram below. 102 files)
– Stereo only: the two front channels of the quad setup only (A-B stereo, 34 files)

The locations covered in Quad City Berlin include: rooftops, main roads & squares, residential areas, parks, freeways, room ambiences

The recording session took place in the fall of 2015 where birdsong is usually very sparse and the weather can still be sunny and dry. Thanks to these conditions, most of the recordings contain no bird chirping at all. All recordings where made using the same microphone setup: four omni-directional mics with equal distances to each other and one MS rig at the front side.

Depending on the location, the omnis where placed up to 3 meters apart to deliver a truly wide sound that works well on a cinema mixing stage. The MS signal serves as both a center signal (if needed) and a stereo option that is also mono compatible.
The four omnis where the high-end DPA 4006 (Bruel&Kjaer) microphones with a remarkable quality in the low frequencies. They work exceptionally well for city background hum and low engine sounds producing a very full and warm, yet precise sound.

'Quad City Berlin' collects the four-channel recordings you can't find anywhere else. Get immersed in Berlin from her rooftops, main roads, squares, residential areas, parks and freeways. Though bird sounds often infiltrate outdoor recordings, the folks at Sonocaine were lucky enough to capture clean city sounds with the pure frequencies of trains and traffic without chirps and tweets interrupting the high range. Animal Hyperrealism Vol IV is a sound library containing animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 2000 individual sounds in 294 files. The sounds were recorded in zoos, and wildlife centers.

The asset list includes but is not limited to: hippos, hyenas, vultures, dwarf mongooses, elephants, African cranes, parrots, tigers, pigmy hippos, rhea ostriches, brown bears, pheasants, wildebeests, African wild dogs and many more. The content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K, an Avisoft CMPA and a Sennheiser 8050 for center plus two Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image.

The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.
