Vehicle sound effects and recordings – cars, helicopters, motorcycles, airplanes, ships, trains and sci-fi
Orbital Emitter is proud to present our first 3 in 1 Sound-Set Bundle, The Upper Decks!
This bundle is made up of of three distinct sound-sets focused on environments found within many science fiction stories and media! The Upper Decks Sound-Set Bundle is comprised of The Control Room, The Medical Bay and The Science Lab!
Each of these environments contain meticulously crafted audio-scenes representing the three environments as well as the curated audio-stems (that are the isolated elements the scenes were made from.)
This sound-set is brimming with imaginative sounds and you have the ability to customize them any way you wish!
The first in our bundle is The Control Room – a somewhat cramped environment with futuristic tech sounding over the hum of nearby power systems. The mood is urgent and a bit rough around the edges- by design! Retro tech mingles with a lone AI speaking and a massive background rumble…
Next is the Medical Bay where the crew goes to be medically evaluated and healed using futuristic techniques. The mood is calm but controlled as a medical procedure unfolds before your ears! There are medical scans, anesthesia fields, healing apparatus and more!
Last is the Science Lab where mysteries are explored using the latest in futuristic scientific equipment! There are vibrant scans, dense subatomic extrapolations and neural data streams that will inspire your imagination!
All of our environments also include the less glamorous necessities like room tones and background rumbles to give your creations the believability they deserve.
The Upper Decks is a great value featuring a diverse palette of creative sounds for you to explore.
Just drag and drop our scenes or stems into any DAW or NLE have fun creating your own fantastic environments!
Orbital Emitter’s sound effects are designed for anyone to use- from industry professionals to fans looking to add dimension to a home video or whatever sci-fi multimedia you can imagine!
All of the sounds in this Bundle are delivered industry ready at 24 bit/48k stereo WAV and each sound file contains simple meta-data to make our sound files easy to organize & find. And everything we create is 100% original, 100% royalty free and designed to teleport your creative to the stars!

This sound library features recordings of a car protest that took place in Gdynia, Poland. Due to changes in abortion law many people showed up on the streets. Since we’re in the middle of COVID outbreak, people decided to support the cause by using their engines and horns. I’ve taped two stereo sets to my car, and went there to capture it from both exterior and interior (one mono and one stereo setup) perspectives. This library features different location ambients, from subtle distant horns, through loud “peak” of the event recorded in the middle of everything that happened, up to masses of people walking by. Everything was recorded with stereo setup on the front of the car, stereo setup on the back of the car + two interior perspectives with windows closed, partially and fully opened. Also ambients were recorded with and without my contribution to the noise, that means that some files have my horn and engine revs, and some don’t. There’s plenty of material to choose from.
Pack your bags! This sound library has everything you need to recreate the sonic experience of flying on a commercial airline or waiting to line up at the airport!
All aircraft recordings are taken from inside the aircraft, all airport ambiences were taken from the Dallas, Chicago, or Buffalo airports. Sounds include airport ambiences, inflight cabin room tone, inflight walla, airport walla, engine sounds, flaps, take-offs, landings, runway bumps, overhead compartment opening and closing, seat belt buckles, airplane bathroom sounds, captain and flight attendant intercom correspondence and more!
You might think your ears are popping as the subtle sounds of change in altitude are captured in this library. Whether you need short wallas or ambiences or an entire recording from take-off to 10,000 feet this library’s got you covered! All sounds recorded at 24 Bit / 96 kHz.
All files are recorded 32bit, 192 kHz, with Rode NTG1 and Shure VP88 microphones, Sound Devices MixPre-6 II recorder. Library contains wav files of driving and exterior foley, mechanical and electrical sounds.

Race Track Passes – Japanese Cars sound library features recordings of 50 different cars, racing on the race track. Microphones were set on the fast corner, right before some more complex section, which resulted in many recordings of cars accelerating, braking (often drifting) and passing by the whole rig. In addition there is also one stereo side perspective, on the more straight section of the track. This library features many automotive icons from Japan, like Nissan Silvia, Nissan Skyline R33, Mazda Miatas, Mazda RX8 with 2JZ engine, few Subaru WRX with cool blow off valves, some Lexus models, few Toyota cars and Honda, that includes S2000 which was mostly drifting, despite the fact, that it was time attack session. Also, you can hear recordings of me, driving in 1.6 MX5 NBFL with modified air intake and muffler. This sound library includes recordings of 50 cars, 189 files, 27.4 GB of audio with total length of 16 hours and 30 minutes.
Ambisonic – SUV interior is a small package of interior recordings performed in a Skoda Yeti, under multiple use-cases.
The captured vehicle model is a Skoda Yeti 2017, with an 1200cc TSI engine.
It includes driving on asphalt and gravel at various speeds, while the windows are open and closed for each scenario.
The Ambisonic version can be great for creating different listening angles of an interior car scene that uses several video angles, using it as an ambient layer for interactive experiences or simply implementing it into a real-time gaming audio engine.
Please note that the Ambisonic version also includes a stereophonic rendering of the files.
This collection is great for post-production, VR/AR experiences sound-design, game developers and any real-time 3D audio engine.
All files are tagged and categorized for your convenience – supporting multiple tag filtering browsing applications.

Curated from an extensive vehicle workup of a 2001 Saleen Mustang from The Odyssey Collection by Academy Award®-winners Mark Mangini & Richard L. Anderson, this library includes a wide variety of powerful car recordings from different angles, distances, speeds, and perspectives.
What is a workup? A workup is a thorough series of recordings of the same subject from many different perspectives. Having these options at your fingertips helps to quickly and intuitively cut sound effects for a scene without needing to reuse or process sounds to make them fit the picture.
Streamline your sound editing workflow with expertly recorded car sound effects from the 2001 Saleen Mustang including ignition, engine revving, idling, driving sequences in forward and reverse on various terrains, pass bys, tire skids, door and trunk open and close, horn honks, engine rumbles, and more.
This workup also includes a selection of multi-mono recordings, which offers the choice of different mic positions from the same recording. And each sound is embedded with rich, descriptive metadata for lightning-fast, pinpoint search results.
Vehicle Workup: 2001 Saleen Mustang is also included in Pro Sound Effects’ CORE: Standard.

Our Auto Repair (248 HQ – 96kHz/24bit) library includes both tools and general ambiences of auto repair shops as well as home garage sounds. Hit play, close your eyes and you will find yourself amidst cars, toolboxes, revving engines, mechanisms, servo sounds, metal clunks, and car mechanics in action.
In this library, you will find audio samples of wrenches and ratchets being dropped on various surfaces and with various intensities, different kinds of metal clunk and mechanical motions, as well as audio of mechanics operating hydraulic machines and servomotors, handling screwdrivers, welding and hammering chassis, handling screwdrivers/ pneumatic pistols and sawing/scraping metal auto parts. All captured in real garages and auto repair shops.
In addition to the sounds mentioned above, we have included a variety of clean, studio recordings of hand tools and metal parts that can be used as starting points for further sound design. We had cars and bikes brought in, which we used to record a series of engine startups/shutdowns, idling, and revs which might serve as starters for creating multilayered, compelling atmospheres.

Animal Hyperrealism Vol III is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 1700 individual sounds in 279 files.
The sounds were recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: european red deers, monkeys, reindeers, hornbills camels, crickets, tamarins, boars, frogs, red ruffed lemurs, parrots, and many more.
The content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image.
Part of the cheats section of the library features samples recorded at 384KHz. For these sounds an additional microphone was employed, specifically the CMPA by Avisoft-Bioacoustics which records up to 200 KHz. This microphone was used to record most of the library but the 384KHz format was preserved only where energy was found beyond 96KHz not to occupy unnecessary disk space.
All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these for mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.
The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.
Audiobeast is proud to present our second sample library; the only library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in urban environments! For this recording session we were given access to a military training site known as a FIBUA (Fighting In Built-Up Area) consisting of streets with a variety of buildings, vehicles, and exclusive permission to fire weapons in several locations. Pictures of the street and gas station locations and firing points are included.
The aim of this library was to offer the slapback type tails needed for gun sound design for convincing city scenes in film, games and tv production. It’s always been difficult to find gun recordings in a city environment so we hope this library helps sound people everywhere.
This Library contains over 3 GBs of weapons being fired in multiple urban environments, a street, outside of a gas station and inside of a tower block. 218 WAV files of single shots, bursts and many with multiple takes, all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.
Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the street 100 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned around corners, a nearby graveyard, through walls and in armored vehicles to capture a variety of perspectives.
Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
If you need a wider selection of interior gun recordings please check out our first library – The London Warehouse Firearms library
Florida Thunder by Eric Berzins contains 111 distinct wav files with over 200 dry thunderclaps and over 300 thunderclaps with rain. All files were recorded in the US state of Florida between 2021 and 2025. Florida has more lightning strikes than any other U.S. state! All files have been meticulously edited and cleaned, and have embedded UCS-compliant Soundminer metadata.
Animal Hyperrealism Vol I is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 1300 individual sounds in 290 files.
The sounds were partly recorded with animals trained for media production, partly recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: african lions, bengal tigers, horses, donkeys, cows, exotic birds, owls, bobcats, pumas, dromedaries, wolves, dogs, geese, lemurs, gibbons and many more.
All the content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image. All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these four mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.
The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
