A good range of street sounds – from traffic that’s light to heavy-with-horns, to whizzing by on a city freeway. Sirens from near and far. Church bell chimes, a kids playground – a garbage truck. From Park Ave to Greenpoint. All in immersive binaural stereo – the next best thing to being there.
Take a little trip – with the Audio Ninja.
Cargo Trucks is a collection of on-board multi-channel recordings of heavy goods vehicles, also known as cargo trucks or lorries. The first truck in the library is a 2012 Mercedes-Benz Actros semi end dump truck, a vehicle used to haul tarmac and other material from quarries in Europe. It is powered by a 12 liter V6 Diesel engine doing 480 HP and sounds as mean as you can imagine.
Important! More trucks will be added to the collection as they are recorded. Get your copy now and you will receive all subsequent updates for free.
Take a sonic dive into the NYC subway – in immersive binaural stereo … the next best thing to being there. Roaring trains, squealing wheels, deep announcer echoes. Recorded from the platform – and on the train. Take a little trip … with the Audio Ninja.

Lexus LFA is a two-seat sports car manufactured between 2009 and 2012 by Toyota brand, Lexus. The production number was limited to 500 cars.
This rare and unique sounding car library features 74 high quality files recorded with multi mic setup. Engine was recorded in sync with cabin interior ambients, and you can expect different styles of driving. From casual city driving, through accelerations on a race track up to rpm ramps and constant rpm loops for game audio.
In addition to engine recordings, this sound effects library features few exterior passes, but you can expect an update with more content in the future. Inside this sound effects library you’ll find designed premixed engine onboard recordings and individual stems (engine, exhaust).
The Train Life Bundle includes two Train Libraries, Train Life and Train Life 2. In both these collections there’s a number of Exterior Freight Train Recordings with various speeds, perspectives, and locations. Rumbling Trains in the Desert, Industrial, and Urban Areas. Horns Close and Distant, Passenger Trains, Rail Yard and Track Ambiences, and an assortment of other Train related sounds.
Junk Cars is a collection of on-board multi-channel recordings of old, barely-functioning European cars. The first car in the library is a 1995 Opel/Vauxhall/Holden Astra with a 1.6 liter Petrol engine, a broken exhaust and in a very sorry state. It wasn’t roadworthy when I found it, but with a little help from a car mechanic we managed to get it on the road.
Important! More cars will be added to the collection as they are recorded. Get your copy now and you will receive all subsequent updates for free.

Recorded for a short film on a rainy day in Copenhagen, this is a 1985 Mercedes 200e 4 Cylinder sedan (previously advertised as 6 cylinder, but thanks to a fellow sound recordist my error has been corrected). There are a hand full of 5/6 minute takes with onboard engine sounds. Ignition starts, stops, different engine revs, interior driving ambiences with light rain, pass bys, a couple of horn honk doppler pass bys, pass bys at different speeds, and extensive seat creaks and squeaks, along with basic doors, idols etc. Also included is two inpulse responses with 3 passengers and 0 passengers for you to load into your IR plug-in. Take a look at the metadata sheet for more info. If you have special inquiries, please send me an email first at [email protected]
This is a sfx library of a classic wooden roller coaster built in 1932 that is in operation at Bakken theme park in Klampenborg, Denmark. It was recorded in 5 takes with four onboard microphones, multiple stereo rigs placed around the track and a 4 channel sps200 ambeo microphone placed in the middle of the coaster for the first two takes, above the cart in the station for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th takes, and the last take underneath the photobooth hill next to the station.
Sounds included are hill pass-bys, climbing, large bank turn, driving through tunnel, onboard sounds, and 4 channel atmos recording.
This is a great library for designing trains, subways, future machines, and of course, roller coasters. All are recordings contain no park patrons while the park was closed. On one or two of the recordings (while the cart is off mic ) has some light construction noise from park cleaners, this does not affect the usable and editable coaster sounds. I have included a few cut plane by’s and atmospheres that were picked up in-between takes.
If you are curious if a certain sound will work for you please send me a message at [email protected]
Wooden Roller Coaster was recorded with Sound Devices 788, Mixpre3, Zoom H4,H5,H6 with a variety of microphones from DPA, Sennheiser, Line Audio, Soundfield and with wind protection from Bubblebee Industries, Rycote and Cinela.
This library features recordings made from a Laurin Koster 32ft 4 cylinder engine Sailboat.
This library contains docked harbor ambiences while windy and calm, water movements, sail foley, engine ignition starts and cut offs, multiple different RPMs while taxiing out of the harbor, sailing, on-deck atmospheres from different perspectives and contact mic recordings of different unique sounds of the sailboat. Contains everything you need to construct a film, game or commercial from a sailboat’s perspective.
Binaural soundscapes from Grand Central Station – recorded to have plenty of background (and some mid & foreground) voices without anything too recognizable – so you can add your own dialogue in the foreground, OR loop sections you like most without it being obvious. The central concourse soundscapes are fairly static – but others move at walking speed – between different locations from street level entrances, through the concourse to the platform. There’s even a couple of revolving doors and an empty escalator/platform to add your action onto. Recorded on (my) dummy head with high-quality omni mics – listening back in headphones instantly immerses you in the middle of the sound field. Binaural stereo – the next best thing to being there! And all with just two channels. So put your headphones on and take a little trip – with the Audio Ninja.

The original 1957 Jeep model Hotchkiss from the French army was used during the Algeria conflict during the 50’s/60’s.
It was meticulously recorded in 96 khz 24 bits for high quality. This collection includes more than 2 hours of recordings in 432 audio files. The audio files are in stereo and UCS compatible.
The sound pack contains engine and exhaust recordings, rev, idle, acceleration, deceleration, constant rpm loops on onload and offload, passby, brake, handbrake, horn, hood closing and opening, belt movements, fuel injection button press, gas tank opening and much more.
The original IL4 cylinders engine produces a very unique sound. That will be a perfect fit for any old school military jeep in your project.

The sounds of grinding, skidding, windscreen groaning, rumbling and hooting – a complete sound effects library of the UAZ-469.
This library is of the UAZ 469 Off Road All Purpose Vehicle – manufactured by UAZ. Originally used in by the soviet forces; it became known as the UAZ 469-B and is used by a variety of countries.
Easy to repair and drivable on all terrains; for us its a really great sounding vehicle both from the engine and general sounds of the car (opening doors, fuel compartments and more)
Thanks
Phil Mill
The NSL Transit Bundle includes 3 New Sound Lab sound libraries. 204 high resolution WAV files – 180 minutes – 9 GB
Garden and nature all over the year: the fresh spring air filled with a morning concert of birds, crickets and summer ambiences, echoing neighbourhood chatter, gardening sounds, dogs barking, roosters crowing, jets and propeller planes passing overhead, as well as the profound silence and eerie presence of nocturnal animals in the depths of the night; the awakening of nature and residents in the early morning hours, and much more.
‘Residential Forest Complete’ combines all four libraries of long-term recordings from a German allotment environment into one. This remote area, surrounded by forest, features cottages, ponds, and an abundance of natural sounds. The library provides a rich blend of suburban, residential, and forest ambiences.
‘Residential Forest Complete’ includes 155 unique ambiences recorded in Germany during summer (August 2021), spring (April 2022), winter (January 2023) and autumn (October 2024). From these 96 hours of recordings, I have carefully selected and edited the finest moments, creating a 19 GB soundscape that takes listeners on a journey from afternoon to evening, through the night, and into the morning and midday hours in this residential forest setting.
To capture the profound silence of the night, I used a matched pair of Rode NT1-A microphones with exceptionally low self-noise, paired with a Tascam HD-P1 recorder.
The total duration of the library is approximately 13 hours, with most ambiences ranging from 5 to 10 minutes in length. Some are longer, while a few are shorter.
‘Residential Forest Complete’ was recorded in AB stereophony at 48 kHz, 24-bit.
This bundle features recordings of sounds from 4 BMW cars:
This bundle was built with 4 different car libraries:
In this 102 minutes long sound library (without RAW files) you will find 16 designed and 32 raw engine sounds recorded onboard, 26 pass by and engine exterior sounds, 17 foley files and 9 engine interior recorded inside vehicles cabin in sync with microphones under the hood.
In this 88 minutes long sound library you will find engine recorded onboard and outside, passby sounds, foley and engine recorded inside vehicles cabin in sync with microphones under the hood.
The Renault Kangoo 1.6 16V sound library features 227 96kHz/24 bit WAV files (including RAW files, for design purpose) recorded with 2 Sound Devices 702, 2 Sennheiser MKH 8040 microphones, Rode NTG3, 2 DPA 4061 and Sony PCM-M10 recorder. This library covers sounds of regular driving, slow and fast accelerating recorded under the hood and inside a drivers cabin at the same time, so the files are in sync and ready to edit in your DAW. In addition this library features exterior recordings, from slow passes through medium and fast ones, reverse sounds, doppler effects, braking and idle, driving away and more.
Everything was recorded from 3 perspectives with different equipment. Mono recordings followed the car all the time, and were recorded with NTG3. Stereo ones were recorded with Sony PCM-M10 and Sennheisers MKH 8040 in ORTF. Those microphones were standing still, capturing the car passes from left to right.
Last but not least, foley. This library covers different actions, like opening and closing doors recorded from the interior and exterior perspectives, opening and closing slide doors, hood, back doors and windows. Pulling and releasing the hand brake, AC fans, buttons and switches, emergency and turning lights, opening and closing glove compartment and more.
The total length of the files is 142 minutes (without RAW files). In addition to the cleaned and premixed files, you will receive Engine RAW recordings as a separate download link. Thanks to those files you can design the engine or interior sounds the way you like.
Experience the sound of Nissan Skyline R33 with legendary turbocharged inline 6 cylinder RB25DET engine. This very iconic car was recorded with multi mic setup. Library contains different styles of driving (regular city driving, spirited driving, accelerations + steady RPMS and ramps for game audio) recorded onboard with different perspectives (intake, engine, turbo, 3 exhaust microphones) + interior stereo in sync with other mics. Car was heavily modified, with screamer and straight pipe exhaust system it generates quite amazing noises. Last but not least, there are files containing exterior passes and some interior “foley” like sounds.
Library contains:
The BMW K100 rs Motorcycle library was recorded by placing 2 dpa 4060s on the engine, and two ME4 on the bike itself.
I then used a pair of cm3s to catch drive bys, and a few takes of driving with the boom pointed at the muffler while riding.
It contains wild foley of clicks and gear changes and sound of engine servo before ignition starts.
It is straight forward and has many different varieties so that you will be able to us it for all of your applications. Feel free to inquire about special sounds or takes before you buy here.

Animal Hyperrealism Vol III is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 1700 individual sounds in 279 files.
The sounds were recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: european red deers, monkeys, reindeers, hornbills camels, crickets, tamarins, boars, frogs, red ruffed lemurs, parrots, and many more.
The content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image.
Part of the cheats section of the library features samples recorded at 384KHz. For these sounds an additional microphone was employed, specifically the CMPA by Avisoft-Bioacoustics which records up to 200 KHz. This microphone was used to record most of the library but the 384KHz format was preserved only where energy was found beyond 96KHz not to occupy unnecessary disk space.
All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these for mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.
The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.
Audiobeast is proud to present our second sample library; the only library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in urban environments! For this recording session we were given access to a military training site known as a FIBUA (Fighting In Built-Up Area) consisting of streets with a variety of buildings, vehicles, and exclusive permission to fire weapons in several locations. Pictures of the street and gas station locations and firing points are included.
The aim of this library was to offer the slapback type tails needed for gun sound design for convincing city scenes in film, games and tv production. It’s always been difficult to find gun recordings in a city environment so we hope this library helps sound people everywhere.
This Library contains over 3 GBs of weapons being fired in multiple urban environments, a street, outside of a gas station and inside of a tower block. 218 WAV files of single shots, bursts and many with multiple takes, all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.
Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the street 100 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned around corners, a nearby graveyard, through walls and in armored vehicles to capture a variety of perspectives.
Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
If you need a wider selection of interior gun recordings please check out our first library – The London Warehouse Firearms library
Florida Thunder by Eric Berzins contains 111 distinct wav files with over 200 dry thunderclaps and over 300 thunderclaps with rain. All files were recorded in the US state of Florida between 2021 and 2025. Florida has more lightning strikes than any other U.S. state! All files have been meticulously edited and cleaned, and have embedded UCS-compliant Soundminer metadata.
Animal Hyperrealism Vol I is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 1300 individual sounds in 290 files.
The sounds were partly recorded with animals trained for media production, partly recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: african lions, bengal tigers, horses, donkeys, cows, exotic birds, owls, bobcats, pumas, dromedaries, wolves, dogs, geese, lemurs, gibbons and many more.
All the content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image. All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these four mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.
The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
