Need background passbys for your interior scene?
ROOM TYRE | Tyre-only vehicle passbys from an interior house perspective.
Included are a solid selection of singular residential passbys (recorded with an EV) and general traffic passes (meticulously stripped of combustion engines). As the world transitions to electric vehicles, this collection will ensure your tracklays are up to date with the smooth sound of electric transportation!
These passbys were recorded through a single pane of glass in order to maximise the ability to tweak the perspective and proximity with filtering when desired.
Supplement your scenes with a range of singular-vehicle passby speeds (20, 30 and 40mph / ~ 30, 50, 70 km/h) and tarmac conditions (dry, semi-wet and wet). ROOM TYRE makes sure you have a compelling set of high-end, future-proof and dependable passbys ready whenever you need them.
SUV Dirt Track Racing contains extensive sound effects of two racing SUVs (Ford F-150 2004 and Ford Explorer 2004) recorded on a speedway in Ontario, Canada. With an amazing collection of driving, revving and racing sounds in different perspectives, this library gives you that full throttle, pedal to the metal sound that you only get from genuine racing vehicles.
Our Audio Craftsmen have sourced engine sounds of the modified SUVs from interior – exterior perspectives, exhaust nodes, and engine perspectives. We also recorded sounds of the SUV’s racing each other, including high revs, drifting through gravel, pass bys, suspension sounds and much, much more.
The library also includes sounds of a driver getting inside the car, opening doors, putting on helmets and seatbelts, starting the engine, turning off the engine etc. We captured both vehicles in isolation and racing each other – driving constantly, passing by, engine idles and explosive revs.
All of the sounds were captured using either a Sanken CS-M1 or a DPA 4060, carefully edited and ready to be used straight away in your projects. They can be used to represent many different types of Racing Vehicle, SUV, Motorbike, Muscle Car due to the nature of their engines being pushed to the limit during recording.
All files are recorded 32bit, 192 kHz, with RØDE NTG1, RØDELink Lav, FEL Clippy XLR EM272 and Shure VP88 microphones, Sound Devices MixPre-6 II recorder. Library contains wav files of driving, interior and exterior foley, mechanical and electrical sounds.
Ambisonic – PickUp Truck interior is a small package of interior recordings performed in a Mitsubishi L200, under multiple use-cases.
The captured vehicle model is a Mitsubishi Hunter L200 2012, with a 2500cc Diesel engine.
It includes driving on asphalt and gravel at various speeds, while the windows are open or closed for each scenario. Rooftop rain was also recorded and added to this package.
The Ambisonic version can be great for creating different listening angles of an interior car scene that uses several video angles, using it as an ambient layer for interactive experiences or simply implementing it into a real-time gaming audio engine.
To create this product a Sennheiser Ambeo microphone paired with Zoom H8n was used.
Please note that the Ambisonic version also includes a stereophonic rendering of the files.
Sounds from a town covered in fresh snow
I woke up on Sunday morning here in England and pulled back the curtains to see a town covered in snow. So I got my winter clothes on, grabbed my digital recorder and spent the whole day in the town, recording all the snowy wintry sounds I could find. This pack is the results. The pack consists of some general ambiences, some snowball hits, footsteps, ice in a barrel being chipped, a snowball fight, cars driving and struggling in the snow and much more.
There are WAVS and MP3s supplied.
Sixty five tracks of passing traffic: cars, vans and trucks, slow and fast, single passes, groups, a few from a small racetrack, dry roads, damp roads, lonely roads and crowded roads and one manic traffic jam from Manhattan’s Chintatown that’s worth the price of admission on its own. Locations include London, Dublin, Arnhem and New York.
All files are recorded 32bit, 192 kHz, with RØDE NTG1, RØDELink Lav and Shure VP88 microphones, Sound Devices MixPre-6 II recorder. Library contains wav files of driving, interior and exterior foley, mechanical and electrical sounds.
From the bustling crowds and speeding tuk tuks of Kandy, to riding on clattering diesel trains through the island down to the buzzing cicadas and lapping waves of the rural south coast, this library captures a huge range of the rich and vibrant textures of an incredible country.
The Roll from The Library by Empty Sea contains over 750 original Wheeled Object sound effects for all your rolling needs!
We set out to record objects that roll in a similar manner to how one would record cars. With multiple tracks recording simultaneously and synced to one another, intercutting between perspectives has never been easier. Onboards, Passbys, Cornering. Some of the objects were even loaded down with weight to change the sonic profile! It’s all here! Toy Cars, Strollers, Wagons, Scooters, Luggage, Carts, Hand Truck. Part 1 has a great selection of rolling objects for all of your sound design needs.
The Roll was recorded exclusively at 96k24bit. We utilized several different recorders and microphones for this project including Zoom F8n, Roland R-07, Zoom H4n, and Oktava MK-012. The Roll also utilizes UCS for easier cataloging in sound effect database management software.
This is a small library recorded from a rusty old van using a Nagra LB and a Sennheiser MKH416 microphone. It features engine sounds, door and trunk Open Close Slam, and various other sounds.
This sound collection covers a wide range of sounds produced by this rare vintage Fire Truck from 1966, with a 8 valve V-304 engine. Besides the driving sounds there are also a lot of Foley recordings to make this vehicle come to life in any production. All in high quality 96/24 BWAV-files, recorded with high end equipment. All sounds include extensive metadata.
The recordings are multitrack. For the onboard sounds you’ll find synchronized recordings of engine (mono), exhaust (mono, and only for the driving sequences), cabin ceiling (stereo), cabin dashboard center (mono) and cargo area (mono). For the roadside recordings I used a Sennheiser MKH8070 to chase the passing vehicle.
Mind you that some sounds may sound very silent. This is to preserve the relative loudness between different perspectives. Place the different perspectives in sync on separate tracks in your DAW and adjust the balance.

Flysound presents: VEHICLE PACK. Four individual sound libraries, of three cars and a bike. First, there is the BMW X5, then the Mini Cooper, then a Land Rover, and on to two wheels, Ducati. The libraries complement each other to provide the road symphony your project might require. All together under one click, vroom vroom! Enjoy.
Flysound‘s finest, top grade recordings, of four fabulous marvels of mobility. Using studio-grade equipment, we recorded our vehicles on-site, with instantaneous position adjustment to capture the right sounds at the right times.
This compilation can serve as a versatile and harmonious soundscape for the road action in your project, whatever the scale of traffic, action, and nuanced context of your scenes and sequences, and taken one by one, the cars and bike libraries themselves are laid out to showcase any individual vehicle audio scenario in deep focus. To cut to the chase, here are the autos:
The BMW X5M, a 750 horsepower highly-tuned SUV which is sporty and at the same time spacious, sturdy, safe and cosy for family moments; we’ve recorded it across all its moods.
The Mini Cooper, a souped up city car. Very nippy and youthful, this style icon was a pleasure to record in all its fabulousness.
The Land Rover Defender, a 4×4 diesel beast that is rugged and country-style, workmanlike, and at the same time elegant and very respectable.
The Ducati Scrambler, the cafe racer model. It represents freedom on two wheels, and we’ve captured the sounds to match, both on the open road and in an autodrome.
All the libraries have a huge variety of sounds, interior, exterior, and foley content. We have paid attention to capture not only the vrooming, roaring, careening and chugging of these vehicles, but also the necessary everyday actions of the machinery, such as the closing of doors, fastening of seatbelts, clicking of levers and squeaking of seats.
Technical specs: Neumann U87’s, Neumann USM 69’s, Sound Devices 788T’s, Aaton Cantar-X2’s, Sonosax, and Sennheiser MKH416’s.
A lite and mixed version of this suite is also included, comprising authentic stereo files, designed, mixed, and studio packaged on best-of-breed equipment for simpler tasks which would have a preference for a package of ready made stock sounds of the VEHICLE PACK

Fiat 126 is a tiny car designed in the early 1970s to replace the classic Fiat 500. It was the most popular car in Poland from the late 1970s until the late 1990s. The idiosyncratic sound of its two cylinder, 0.65 Litre engine became an icon of the Polish everyday life. Fiat 126 was also common in Italy and Cuba.
This library contains all basic sounds this car can make, like driving at various speeds on tarmac and dirt roads, pass-bys and parking. Then there’s foley sounds of all the switches, opening doors etc. Don’t miss the particularly rich sound of the cold start of the aged engine.
The car we recorded was made in 1999. All its sounds are relevant for cars produced between 1994 and 2000. Earlier versions did not have the electronic starter and they wouldn’t beep when the choke was open. Cars made until about 1985 had a different dashboard so some of their switches would sound different (compare pictures for reference). The engine (and its sound) however was the same from the early 1970s until the end of production in 2000.
109 stereo files, 18 mono files, all UCS compliant.
Info – All files are recorded 32bit, 192 kHz, with RØDE NTG1, RØDELink Lav and Shure VP88 microphones, Sound Devices MixPre-6 II recorder. Library contains wav files of driving and exterior foley, mechanical and electrical sounds.

Animal Hyperrealism Vol III is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 1700 individual sounds in 279 files.
The sounds were recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: european red deers, monkeys, reindeers, hornbills camels, crickets, tamarins, boars, frogs, red ruffed lemurs, parrots, and many more.
The content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image.
Part of the cheats section of the library features samples recorded at 384KHz. For these sounds an additional microphone was employed, specifically the CMPA by Avisoft-Bioacoustics which records up to 200 KHz. This microphone was used to record most of the library but the 384KHz format was preserved only where energy was found beyond 96KHz not to occupy unnecessary disk space.
All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these for mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.
The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.
Audiobeast is proud to present our second sample library; the only library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in urban environments! For this recording session we were given access to a military training site known as a FIBUA (Fighting In Built-Up Area) consisting of streets with a variety of buildings, vehicles, and exclusive permission to fire weapons in several locations. Pictures of the street and gas station locations and firing points are included.
The aim of this library was to offer the slapback type tails needed for gun sound design for convincing city scenes in film, games and tv production. It’s always been difficult to find gun recordings in a city environment so we hope this library helps sound people everywhere.
This Library contains over 3 GBs of weapons being fired in multiple urban environments, a street, outside of a gas station and inside of a tower block. 218 WAV files of single shots, bursts and many with multiple takes, all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.
Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the street 100 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned around corners, a nearby graveyard, through walls and in armored vehicles to capture a variety of perspectives.
Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
If you need a wider selection of interior gun recordings please check out our first library – The London Warehouse Firearms library
Florida Thunder by Eric Berzins contains 111 distinct wav files with over 200 dry thunderclaps and over 300 thunderclaps with rain. All files were recorded in the US state of Florida between 2021 and 2025. Florida has more lightning strikes than any other U.S. state! All files have been meticulously edited and cleaned, and have embedded UCS-compliant Soundminer metadata.
Animal Hyperrealism Vol I is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 1300 individual sounds in 290 files.
The sounds were partly recorded with animals trained for media production, partly recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: african lions, bengal tigers, horses, donkeys, cows, exotic birds, owls, bobcats, pumas, dromedaries, wolves, dogs, geese, lemurs, gibbons and many more.
All the content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image. All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these four mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.
The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
