We did recordings of interferences, hums, buzzs, dc noise and statics, using an electromagnetic sensor as microphone.
All recordings have been imported into Serum Noise Oscillator and Wavetable Oscillators to achieve a collection of organic sounding presets.
Bowling is a collection of sounds recorded at a private lane, completely devoid of extraneous human and HVAC sounds. This exclusive access allowed for recording various perspectives, including deep in the guts of the machinery, up-close to the pins, bowler’s perspective, and side perspectives. This library includes all of the mechanical sounds, machinery ambiences, ball “pass-by’s”, ball return, gutter balls, pins resetting, and even some bowling sounds without any machinery noise at all.

Those abstract but powerful sound effects give you infinite possibilities by using them forward or backward or by cutting and combining themselves together.
– Glitchy and Organic Textures and Gestures
This pack contains a selection of a series of recordings we made while journeying freely through our studio, using a custom microphone we created. We chopped a bunch of single ”motions” and ”gestures” from the recordings, but the main course is the collection of long, evolving and unpredictable takes we got.
Even though everything in this pack can stand on the stage as it is, it also fits every kind of electronic application and manipulation.

Also includes several longer sequences that can be used as building blocks for creating your now sci-fi sounds, and more…
This extensive collection of industrial ambiences features heavy machinery, mechanical rumbles and diffuse urbanscapes from the following locations:
All sounds were recorded using the Sound Devices Mix-Pre 6 and Sennheiser MKH 8020s to capture the extensive low frequencies present within the aforementioned locations.

We are surrounded by electromagnetic fields at all time. Every electrical device is a different source of these waves, but we usually don’t see or hear them. With modern capture equipment, we can record these fields in an audible range for the human ear; Opening doors to a world of fascinating and weird sounds.
We went capturing various appliances and electrical gadgets around the house. We collected incredible noises with many glitches, hum, crackles… These are great source of abstract, processing data, futuristic or broken technology. And featuring detailed stereophonic moving images, it makes a great fit to create sophisticated modern sound design.
With this amazing collection of fully-synthesized digital sounds, KS library’s fusion with Sonotrigger brings to sound designers a very versatile sound library for building new and original sound effects for Head-Up Displays, User Interfaces, Electronic Devices, Signals, Measurements and many more.

THE GLITCH SFX TOOLKIT
In this library, you will find electronic sounds that can be used on a variety of applications such as Sci-Fi projects, computer glitches, faulty equipment, robots and much more.
All of the files were designed from scratch – no pre-existing sounds were used – and they are sourced from actual computer errors, generating original sounds.
Included, you will find a folder called “TELEVISION_&_RADIO”. The files in that folder have an EQ applied to them to simulate the effect of the sounds coming out of those pieces of equipment. This will save you time – you don’t have to worry about processing them and can drag & drop them into your projects.
We’ve dug deep into the circuit paths of electronic equipment using signal tracers to scan and record electronic noise and electromagnetic fields (EMF) emanating from electronic equipment.
This third installment in a series of three sound libraries focuses on the elements of power sources with noise drones of electrical power, 60Hz cycle hum, dirty ground buzz with static, glitch, pops, snaps, crackles & electronic interference including low-end & pulsing frequencies.
A collection of fine bleeps and bloops from two vintage toy synthesizers, a Major Morgan and a Stylophone.

All sounds contain extensive metadata in both soundminer proprietary format and broadcast wave format to make finding these sounds and getting them into your project as easy as possible!

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
