  • Vintage Telephones SFX library contains 244 sounds extracted from 10 vintage, rotary dial devices manufactured between the 1880s and 1980s. In this library, you’ll find three common ringing patterns (used in the USA, Australia, and Europe) for each telephone type, handset pickups/set downs, number dials 1-0, hook toggles, as well as single ringings with natural long ring decays to design your own ring timings according to your project needs.

As an addition to the standard telephone sounds, we have captured some experimental ones, that were generated by feeding the devices with random low frequencies, producing some really strange mechanical rattles, buzzes, glitches, and unusual bell rings.

THE FOLLOWING 10 TELEPHONES WERE RECORDED

    • 3 Box Phone [1882]
    • Antique Wooden Phone [1930]
    • Siemens W48 Wandapparat [1934]
    • Ericsson DBH15 [1947]
    • Siemens W48 [1948]
    • Siemens Fg Stat 23a [1956]

  • Sci-Fi Sound Effects Slinky Pews and Pows Play Track 156+ sounds included, 24 mins total $10

Sounds for you to use for sci fi lasers, thin sheets of ice and electricity popping sounds recorded with a contact microphone and a slinky.

Inspired by thin ice sound recordings and huge pictures of power lines, I recorded a slinky with a contact microphone in order to get some sounds for some thin ice. I ended up with a lot of sci fi lasers and “star trek torpedos.” With some cool bouncing popping electricity stuff, take a listen and pick up a copy to throw in your library when creating sci fi stuff and/or some electricity being sent through power lines!!

Here is a little demo. I think some cool sounds were captured. with the 96k recording you can pitch it quite harshly and get some fine stuff…..the last 2 laser “blasts” have been pitched for you to hear. the first one at 20% of the original speed and the last at 15%. Feel free to send me an email if you want to hear more.

Don't be fooled at the size of 350mb and 24 minutes….there is all the sounds you could want from a slinky in here. :D

  • Looking for electric car sounds? This library delivers 211 files / 162 minutes of stereo recordings of the BMW i3 electric vehicle.

The BMW i3 is a B-class, high-roof hatchback manufactured and marketed by BMW with an electric powertrain using rear wheel drive via a single-speed transmission. Its underfloor Li-ion battery pack is offered in two capacities as well as with an optional range-extending gasoline engine. The i3 was BMW’s first mass-produced zero emissions vehicle and was launched as part of BMW’s electric vehicle sub-brand, BMW i.

As of December 2016, the i3 ranked as the world’s third best selling all-electric car in history with more than 65,000 units sold since its inception.

This very quiet car has been recorded using onboard DPA-4060 microphones, to capture the engine and tyre sounds. The different surfaces are gravel, asphalt and rumble strips on the highway. The interior sounds have been recorded using the Zoom H5 XY microphone. There are also contact mic recordings of the wheel housing using Schaller mics.

Passby sounds have been recorded using Line Audio CM3’s in an XY setup as well as the Zoom H5 XY microphone. There are passes on dry and wet asphalt as well as gravel at different speeds.

Finally the engine has been recorded using the Elektrosluch electromagnetic microphone, resulting in 33 minutes of electromagnetic madness in 96 kHz.

I sincerely hope you will find this sound archive useful!

    Best,

    Morten
