  • The sound library that you didn’t know you needed, a collection of electromagnetic sounds presented in Ultra-HD 24-bit 192k resolution. First a little science lesson: All Electric devices produce a magnetic field. Usually, you don’t hear this field. And you can’t record it with a normal microphone. You need to use an induction coil pickup. These pickups are commonly used to record telephone conversations. But, hold them up to an electric device and all sorts of chaos ensues.

This library features various motors recorded with an induction coil pickup, as well as TVs, mobile phones, car ignitions, light bulbs, you name it. Many items that you use everyday give off amazing magnetic fields and we happily recorded as many as we could. The second half of this library is all synth sounds that, at times, sound even more electric than the real stuff.

  • A collection of motor and machine sounds, recorded in ultra-HD 24-bit 192k resolution. You’ll find a variety of electric motor sounds in this library, from sources such as cameras, car electronics, tools, pencil sharpeners, shavers, immersion blenders, disc ejects, radio controlled (RC) cars and many more. All ready to bring your robots and sci-fi scenes to life.

  • Abstract Sound Design is a budget-friendly collection of unique audio material sourced from digital feedback loop experiments and granular processing sessions. Featuring 25 abstract atmospheres and 35 abstract FX, this library is perfect for those moments when creativity may be running dry, serving as an inspiring starting point for some serious sound sculpting. Of course, they may just fit your needs as they are, too!

  • The Glitch UI SFX library delivers a collection of user interface sounds created from mangled video files, circuit bent keyboards and dying hard drives.

Pops, clicks, glitches and transitions, all sourced from our Error Tone library but re-edited and processed specifically for sound designers with extensive Soundminer metadata.

Contains sounds which will work for all your user interface feedback needs, from retro computer interfaces to modern tablets to futuristic sci-fi UIs.

  • Introducing the ultimate roller coaster sound library: Roller Coaster Sound Builder includes high-quality recordings from 5 different roller coasters, from classic steel coasters to aggressive impulse coaster. This huge collection includes clean roller coaster passbys, onboard recordings, and classic roller coaster screams.

Roller coaster pass by sounds were recorded without background noise in an amusement park that was closed to the public. A great amount of natural screams with different intensities is also included, recorded during a regular summer day in the amusement park.

    Roller Coasters included:

    – Big Steel Coaster (inverted steel coaster with high speed and loops)
    – Small Steel Coaster (classic-sounding sit-down coaster)
    – Flying Coaster (with a more metallic and rumbly sound)
    – Impulse Coaster (unique-sounding coaster with electro-magnetic propulsion)
    – Motorbike Coaster (fast flywheel launch)

This collection provides unique, hard-to-access source material in high-quality, with a large amount of takes for creative sound design. We worked hard to capture as much useful material as we could when we had full access to the rides. All sounds were recorded in Särkänniemi amusement park, Tampere, Finland. Also available in the special Complete Amusement Park Sound Bundle.

  • The Electromagnetic Field sound library features 216 stereo 96kHz recordings of more than 80 different electronic devices. The total length of the files is 6 hours and 18 minutes. Post production process was limited to EQ and compression with some noise reduction in few cases, but most of the files are ready for further processing and designing completely new sounds

Everything was recorded in stereo, and in some cases sounds are wildly flying across not only whole frequency spectrum but also pan image. Inside you’ll find a lot of different hum noises, hiss and electrical swipes and whooshes, buzzing high pitch and low pitch sounds, beeps and bleeps, servo and small engines running in a different way, data processing kind of sounds, interference and corruption effects and more. It’s a great all around library when it comes to designing various electronic machinery sound effects.

Polarity delivers more than 950 sounds of electricity, science and technology – captured in several locations around the world, from electricity museums to science labs. About 50% of the library is all about electricity, with various types of Jacob’s Ladders, Tesla Coils, Ruhmkorff lamp and all sorts of impactful bursts of energy.

Many sounds in this section were captured from vintage equipment, from a 1928’s tram to old telephone switchboards, high voltage levers and control surfaces.

All content was recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K, a couple of Sennheiser 8040 and a Neumann 81i, translating into final assets that have plenty of ultrasonic content, ready for the most extreme manipulation.

    Metadata:

    Full Library • Micro Library

This collection contains 284 minutes of Space Echo sounds from sources such as its: Transformer, Motor, Solenoid, Circuit Board, Screws, Switches, Knobs, Cables, Hinges, Handle, Box Pickups, Lid Closing/Opening, Echoes, Oscillations, Rate Sweeps, Line Noise. • Databending: A digital art form where flaws in digital systems are exploited and used for creative purposes.

Data Disruption contains 200 sounds sourced from raw computer files which have been interpreted as audio data. Bitmaps, executables, plugin files and more have been exploited to bring you a unique, varied collection of sound effects and atmospheres ready for a range of productions.

This sound collection has 100 'raw' files which include harsh, random data noises, intense drones and a versatile selection of glitch one shots as well as 100 processed sounds which were subject to extreme editing and mangling to deliver an array of abstract sonic artefacts.

Most useful for scenarios where computer technology – known or otherwise – is glitching out, these sounds are best suited to Science Fiction productions which call for the noise of broken communications, signal failures, ailing machines, industrial settings, planetary ambience and dystopian soundworlds.

That's not to say they won't also come in handy for Glitch/IDM music producers looking to build up an original collection of sounds for their latest kit, or for the creative sound designer to further shape these sounds into anything from user interface clicks, blips and bleeps to surreal soundscapes and beyond.

    Full: The complete library.
Micro: A cut down library featuring some of our favourite sounds from the complete collection.

  • Get the sounds of a Printrbot 3D printer – with four NEMA 14 stepper motors -, in this interesting SFX library by New Sound Lab.

The high torque motors connected to a pulley system control the X-Y-Z movements of the aluminum extruder and metal print bed. When printing three-dimensional objects, these fast and precise movements result in a unique barrage of percussive and rhythmic mechanical noise.

These sounds were captured using three different recording setups: Barcus Berry contact mics, RF coils, and combined contact mic / RF coil into a Sound Devices 702 recorder.

The resulting sounds are a mix of grainy, gritty atonal patterns, robotic percussive bleeps, glitchy digital beeps/clicks, low fidelity drones, and chaotic noise. Both raw recordings, and processed elements are included and ready for further sound manipulation.

This library was created to provide designers with drag and drop sounds for sweeps, fades, surges, swells, and other embellishments. Each of the sounds in this collection were designed to be used to heighten events, but they can be mashed, stacked, and chopped to create all sorts of eclectic designs. There are plays on musical concepts as well as thematic events, with each sound purposefully building up, culminating in a peak moment, and then dissipating in some way. They are organized into 100 families (designs) with 5 variations each, ranging wildly in topic, movement, duration, dynamics, attack, release, loudness, density, and speed. Some are natural and organic while others are completely rigid and synthetic (and some fall variably in between).

If you need to festoon the heck out of a scene or event in your project…If you need some complex SFX designs craftily layered and ready-to-go…If you need a diverse set of easy-to-tweak, overflowing sonic enrichment, then look no further. You’ve found it.
