Doom Drones contains more than 3Gb of eerie, doomful, dark, atmospheric field recordings, designed drones and backgrounds. Perfect for something in the realm of a David Lynch film, ambient music production, a horror film, or just to set the mood of a foreboding soundscape.
Each artist made 60 custom loops for a total of 120 loops. With SoundMorph focusing more on field recordings and subtle tonal design and Arovane focusing more on dynamic synthetic textures and sound design. Both perfectly suitable as layers or final assets, depending on their use, Doom Drones is a great addition for anyone wanting to enhance dark ominous moments.
All field recordings were captured with a mid/side stereo setup consisting of 2 Schoeps CMC6 bodies, Schoeps mk5 & mk8 capsules housed in a Rycote AE windshield running into a Sound Devices 722.
This Double Bass & Violin sound effects library not only includes weird low double bass bow strokes, stabs, vibrating strings, drones, harsh harmonics, string scrapes, bow stroke voices, and bright violin tones and screams. It also includes the opportunity to open up a whole new set of sonic adventures.
Why? All double bass sounds have been recorded at 192K/24 bit, with an amazing stereo set of close up Sanken CO100K microphones, and a stereo set of Sennheiser Mkh 8020 microphones, capturing low end and room. All violin sounds have been recorded with a single Sanken CO100K microphone.
Common for all Sanken files is that you're able to either extreme time stretch/time compress, or pitch up and down the files, and by this discover a whole new world of sounds – without adding nasty degenerating artifacts or muffling the sound. The ultra-high frequency range of the Sanken microphones does really make a great difference!
Recordings these sounds was a pure blast. The amount of versatile organic material in the set is great. The bass instrument has been played in a very innovative way, using both regular bow on strings and bass body, but also finger cymbals attached to specific places for a vibrating ring or rattle noise, creating some really other-worldly sound effects, and almost vocal-like patterns.
While the double bass material produces a massive low end without any further processing, the violin recordings really benefit from being stretched and pitched. This makes all the non-audible bright sounds captured by the Sanken microphones come through.
Need to create a tense atmosphere to induce destruction and fear in your game or trailer? “DOWNFALL” is the library for you.

800+ sounds from one of the most complex and varied sounding instruments that we’ve come across in our junk shop travels. Broken strings, creaky wood and a great resonant cavity gave us a massive collection of sounds ready to be bent and twisted.
This is a fretless German harp zither, which differs in quality significantly from concert zithers, which have several strings with fretted necks beneath them. This version was manufactured by Friederich Menzenhauer, the father of the zither in the US. Zithers of this kind are notoriously difficult to identify because they contain no distinguishing marks on the bodies themselves, and the only branding is on the paper label deteriorating inside the soundhole.
Our version had been worn beyond all repair through decades of age and neglect. Broken strings, creaky wood and a great resonant cavity gave us a massive collection of sounds ready to be bent and twisted.
We did much more than just throw a couple of mics up and pluck – this instrument was recorded with a stethoscope mic, a lav inside the cavity, overhead xy, room mics, and more. We banged, scraped, bowed, ebowed, and thumped every last noise out of this one in three separate sessions. The end result was a collection of about 5 Gb of edited stereo 24 bit 96k sound.
The Kontakt instruments are where the real magic happens with this instrument. There are presets for horror string hits, angelic and demonic pads, old creaks and more. The zither barely survived, but it gave us an array of sounds that are very different from what you’ll get from a properly tuned and maintained instrument. It is the uniqueness of the decay that gives our zither its character.
This collection of sounds, include a variety of ambiences, gear drones, and room tones recorded during the last few years!
54 tracks recorded in different recording sessions during last few years. 48Khz and 24 bits HD Audio. Room Tones, Designed Ambiences and Gear Drones recorded and edited for audio atmos designers!
All the files have metadata embedded for Soundminer and similar programs. They both include Spanish and English description.

The Ghost Designed Sound library offers 20 atmospheres and 125 sound elements finely crafted, and spatialized in 360° (3 format options: Ambisonics, Surround 5.1, or stereo).
The Ghosts Construction Kit delivers 545 raw sound sources (monophonic). It provides the sonic material to create custom sound effects and soundscapes of ghostly auditory experiences with your own settings.
Glass and Metal Clouds are the result of experimenting with the tonal and noise elements of a glass or metal impact via granular processing. Various household objects were struck and recorded, ranging from metal shovels, desk legs and brass ornaments to glass and crystal objects – basically anything that would ring after it was struck.
The recordings were then sent through ‘Clouds’ and processed with gentle, chaotic modulation by a combination of sloth chaos modules and standard cyclic modulation resulting in drones that gently sweep between musical tonal sounds and the random noise produced by the strike and are ever evolving; some more than others.
Sometimes some surprising sounds came out of the drones and I let them run, some were kept quite constant with only a subtle amount of modulation so there is a lot of variation in the pack.
The sounds came from my need as a sound designer to embed strange mood, emotion and feeling of uncertainty into everyday ambience.
Granular Textures is a collection of foley sounds, instrumentals and lo-fi recordings which were fed into granular processors to deliver a set of unique and versatile atmospheres which bear little resemblance to their original source. Instruments such as guitar, piano, kalimba and zither have been exploited, dissected, stretched, resampled and mangled beyond all recognition and served up as inspiring 'grainscapes' which will find their home in a variety of productions.
Whether your project calls for gritty, industrial and dystopian soundscapes, surreal, science fiction elements, twisted signals and transmissions, horror soundbeds, deep drones or experimental noise pieces, Granular Textures is a versatile collection which will serve as a great sonic asset, whatever field of multimedia you work in.

• Harmonic Series Drones is an extension of several of my music compositions. Over the past few years, I’ve been very interested in data sonification, writing several pieces that turn real-time weather data into music. This library was created using a drone generator that turns weather data into sound. I built this drone generator for my piece Sitka for piano and seasonal electronics.
• Instead of pulling weather data from Sitka, Alaska, as I did in the piece, I used 2016 daily temperature data from the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, a fragile place wrapped up in current political drama and now open to drilling. This library is a sonification of 2016 temperature data in ANWR. The highest global temperature on record was recorded in 2016 (2016 Global Climate Report). It is even worse in the Arctic where temperatures are warming at twice the rate of lower latitudes (2016 Arctic Report Card). With this library, you’ll be able to hear the warming, and I hope this library helps to draw attention to the rapidly changing environment of the Arctic.
• Each of the forty-eight drones corresponds to the average temperature of a day in 2016, with twelve drones from each of the four seasons. The drones are built from pure tones made from tightly filtered pink noise. These pure tones are then stacked in harmonic series relationships. For instance, a winter drone might consist of the fundamental and four lowest partials. A summer drone could have the fundamental and partials seven, fourteen, and thirty-two.
• The drones stand on their own without the story. If you never knew they started with weather data, you would still find a variety of pure, rich, microtonal drones with enough variety to fit the mood of any project.

HARMONICS is a new designed sound collection that explores the inner beauty of resonating metals to create an extensive set of inspiring sonic material for sound design and film scoring – proudly presented by SampleTraxx.
Metal happens to have the right combination of speed of sound and decay. Different metal shapes produce a broad spectrum of soundscapes and tones.
HARMONICS investigates this hidden magic by designing and layering these unique timbres.
The result is an extensive set of designed evolving textures and designed metal elements which are great to create sound cues in minutes, metal hits, passby-reverses and evolving drones.
The nature of this soundpack doesn’t call for compressor or maximizer. Close attention has been paid to preserve the original dynamic excursion of each sound and fully enjoy its natural vibration and evolution.
Having a wide dynamic range guarantees more freedom in layering and arranging different elements to create endless variations.
The sonic material contained in the pack is all presented in a designed fashion and different levels of design are provided: from simple elements to evolving multilayered soundscapes and textures, all based on metallic sources. No external sounds apart from metals have been added to the mix.
86 Designed Textures and Elements (dur. up to 1’10″)
37 Hits (Hi and Low Designed Hits)
26 Pass-by Reverse
9 Tibetan Bowl (Raw Recordings)
9 Kontakt Instruments -Kontakt 5.5 full required for these (free player not supported)
Note: the WAV themselves files can be used without Kontakt
