Atmospheric drones and ambiences – light and dark, beautiful and eerie, lively and serene
DRONEA gets you over 13 hours of drones, pads, underscores and atmospheres.
A collection of 238 drones, designed at 24-bit. Light to dark, clean to dirty, low to high, moving transitioning and pulsating. Many of these audio atmospheres were naturally processed by playback through a huge concrete tunnel and vintage guitar amplifiers.
All sounds were recorded or designed at 24-bit, 96 kHz, with embedded meta data.
Drones are essential for every sound designer and composer. Combine and layer Drones to add more depth, tension, and suspense to your track. Drones can act as a great background to any sci-fi scene and make your music more interesting.
The distant industrial sounds of a dystopian society, the unsettling mechanical noise emanating from a mothership's power hub with deep, planetary ambiance and spacecraft roomtones, or maybe there's a serial killer or spirit on the loose in an abandoned factory or a long, dark tunnel… Whatever the scenario, these drones will serve your project well whether using them as they are, or as source material for sound design.
The Drones & Moods U.S.O. Bundle includes Hologram Room – vol.1 & Kyma Ambiences – vol.1 | Elements from Unidentified Sound Object. This multi-pack combo provides selected sound libraries at a savings of 25% off the retail price, for a savings of $28.5 ex VAT.

Brand New Sci-Fi Ambiences from The Library by Empty Sea. 6+ GB, 150+ sounds, almost 3 hours of material, all 96k, all looped for easy use.
This library is a bit different from the rest. Dx (“Diagnostic”) is a grouping of different audiometric and audiological elements in a neat, diversified package. Our goal was to aggregate audio tests from multiple disciplines and build them into a one-stop-shop collection that most sound designers, engineers, researchers, and artists could utilize as a mainstay in their audio toolbox.
In this collection you will find sets of: binaural beats, audiometric sweeps, full frequency sweeps, multi-spectrum noise, spatializations, resonance tones, impulses, dynamics tests, intermodulated distortion tests, aliasing tests, phase tests, and a few fun examples just for kicks.
These diagnostic sounds are provided in 96kHz/24-bit, 48kHz/24-bit, and 44.1kHz/16-bit resolutions. There are various length and loudness combinations as well, so you don't have to edit these files to use them for their intended tests. That being said, this diagnostic audio can also be used very quick and precise ways in layered SFX designs. Because they are so specific in their development, they can be used with an automatic mathematic disregard…and that, is a good thing.
Quick, clean, and precise. Enjoy.

Get a collection of otherworldly sounds from a very special instrument / rig, custom-designed by Tim Nielsen and Jeff Davis. From low and thunderous, to high and piercing, it generates sounds quite unlike anything else out there.
Eerie Forest is a collection of subtle ambiences recorded at night in dense forests in the regions of Transylvania and Moldova, Romania over two trips in Spring and Autumn 2017. The library features soft wind, distant hum, vegetation rustles, dogs barking at various distances, church bells tolling, a variety of owl species and other birds like ravens and woodcocks. All these elements are not foreground, but rather washed-out, echoey and atmospheric.
Eerie Forest is not suitable for foreground sound elements as the recordings are very soft and subtle. Make sure you check out the demos before you purchase.
In this collection you'll find EMF captured from devices like: phones, TVs, hard drives, Playstation 3s, MacBooks, printers, scanners, juicers, pencil sharpeners, frequency counters, digital sweep function generators, camcorders, VCRs, DVD players, DSLRs, network routers, mixing consoles, and MUCH MORE!
Endless Drones is a diverse set of 100 multi-layered atmospheres and mangled drone textures, that will help you portray an unsettling sense of mood or establish a unique sense of location in your projects.
All sounds are formed from field recordings and organic sound elements that are spliced, mixed and merged with synthetic tones and low-end rumble sources, using extensive processing and advanced production techniques.
Some of the most interesting real-world elements that have been used are city hum noises, roaring factory ambiences, radio statics, cicadas, water flows, howling winds, spooky waves of laughter, horse galloping sounds, nasty metal scrapes, and slides, tape wrapping sounds around the gears and rainscapes.
It’s my pleasure to introduce you to this dense library of accomplished and cacophonous sounds. This is a dramatic and horror filled library, teaming with tension and ghostly ambience, stingers and hits.
Most of these sounds have been used in film and television in one form or another. They’re more than just “designy sounds”.
These are intended to create a score of tension that can help you build a scene to it’s full potential. These sounds add movement within the soundtrack, especially with the drones. When creating sounds, I like to inject some sort of movement within the sound itself, so that it’s never stagnant or ‘still’ sounding.
So if you’re looking to notch your project up a level with dark, moody and expressive design, this is a good bet for you. Hopefully you’ll have as much inspiration as I did when creating these.

This collection features 200 Fantasy sound effects. These sounds have been handpicked from the Sound Ideas Fantasy SFX series.
Welcome to “Flute” a simple but beautiful collection of 30 atmospheric soundscapes (24 Bit / 96 kHz, WAV, 1,3 GB) created using a tin whistle and a bamboo transverse flute.
Thanks to his peaceful and meditative tone this collection is great for fantasy productions or for creating a calm mood. You can use the sounds to create a musical bed for music tracks too, making the pack a versatile addition to your collection.
Each soundscape has a duration of 1:11 minutes.
As a bonus I included the sources (24 sfx) used to create the sounds in the library.
The Forest Ambience 1 library focuses on the ambient sounds of Central Florida’s forest ecology. The focus of this library is a collection of as much general background ambience as possible with minimal focus on any one individual element. It also focuses on a Mid Day – Early Dusk time frame.
The range of ambiences include windy gusts through thick canopies, forests alive with birds and bugs, and erie dead silences void of any life recorded near one of the nation’s largest active bombing ranges. Also included are a few plane flyovers and some outdoor trail ambience near an apartment complex as a bonus.
Captured in environments such as:
• Bottomland hardwoods
• Pine Flatwoods
• Upland hardwoods
• Urban nature trail
800+ sounds from one of the most complex and varied sounding instruments that we’ve come across in our junk shop travels. Broken strings, creaky wood and a great resonant cavity gave us a massive collection of sounds ready to be bent and twisted.
This is a fretless German harp zither, which differs in quality significantly from concert zithers, which have several strings with fretted necks beneath them. This version was manufactured by Friederich Menzenhauer, the father of the zither in the US. Zithers of this kind are notoriously difficult to identify because they contain no distinguishing marks on the bodies themselves, and the only branding is on the paper label deteriorating inside the soundhole.
Our version had been worn beyond all repair through decades of age and neglect. Broken strings, creaky wood and a great resonant cavity gave us a massive collection of sounds ready to be bent and twisted.
We did much more than just throw a couple of mics up and pluck – this instrument was recorded with a stethoscope mic, a lav inside the cavity, overhead xy, room mics, and more. We banged, scraped, bowed, ebowed, and thumped every last noise out of this one in three separate sessions. The end result was a collection of about 5 Gb of edited stereo 24 bit 96k sound.
The Kontakt instruments are where the real magic happens with this instrument. There are presets for horror string hits, angelic and demonic pads, old creaks and more. The zither barely survived, but it gave us an array of sounds that are very different from what you’ll get from a properly tuned and maintained instrument. It is the uniqueness of the decay that gives our zither its character.
This collection of sounds, include a variety of ambiences, gear drones, and room tones recorded during the last few years!
54 tracks recorded in different recording sessions during last few years. 48Khz and 24 bits HD Audio. Room Tones, Designed Ambiences and Gear Drones recorded and edited for audio atmos designers!
All the files have metadata embedded for Soundminer and similar programs. They both include Spanish and English description.
[Updated 11/2018 : The extension “Ghosts Return” has been added as a bonus to this library]
Looking for haunting, spooky sounds (ready for VR and 360 degree content) – this library gets you up to 600+ sounds to work with. The Ghost Designed Sound library offers 20 atmospheres and 125 sound elements finely crafted, and spatialized in 360° (3 format options: Ambisonics, Surround 5.1, or stereo).
The Ghosts Construction Kit delivers 545 raw sound sources (monophonic). It provides the sonic material to create custom sound effects and soundscapes of ghostly auditory experiences with your own settings.
Through the development process, we gathered unique sonic materials from the scary inaudible sounds up to the piercing cry of Banshee ghosts. Included are: 14 pre-baked atmospheres, 38 designed sound, and 373 useful source sounds.
It comprises recordings of male and female ghosts, crows, miscellaneous sounds of the house, bells, extensive door knocks from various perspectives, and sounds of ghost trying to enter a room.
The atmospheres are easy and ready to use, containing haunting houses, town, forest, cemetery, thunderstorm, and eerie soundscapes.
The designed sounds are mainly focused on ghosts creature with spooky murmur, breathe, group of ghosts and creepy inhalations.
Glacier Ambience is a pack of ambient drones created especially for the purpose of being used anywhere.
If your voice-over needs life, your video needs a mood, your sound design ambience needs a lift, and more.
These are ambient soundscapes and drones and not sounds from an actual glacier, but they were created while I was looking at one.
All this in one package. All designed for the specific ability to drag and drop any of the tracks in the package to your soundtrack and it will instantly bring a background mood and life to your creation.
All the sounds in here have been created while I was living in Iceland – with drones, glaciers, ambient life, nature and northern lights in mind.
Glass and Metal Clouds are the result of experimenting with the tonal and noise elements of a glass or metal impact via granular processing. Various household objects were struck and recorded, ranging from metal shovels, desk legs and brass ornaments to glass and crystal objects – basically anything that would ring after it was struck.
The recordings were then sent through ‘Clouds’ and processed with gentle, chaotic modulation by a combination of sloth chaos modules and standard cyclic modulation resulting in drones that gently sweep between musical tonal sounds and the random noise produced by the strike and are ever evolving; some more than others.
Sometimes some surprising sounds came out of the drones and I let them run, some were kept quite constant with only a subtle amount of modulation so there is a lot of variation in the pack.
The sounds came from my need as a sound designer to embed strange mood, emotion and feeling of uncertainty into everyday ambience.
Granular Textures is a collection of Foley sounds, instrumentals and lo-fi recordings which were fed into granular processors to deliver a set of unique and versatile atmospheres which bear little resemblance to their original source. Instruments such as guitar, piano, kalimba and zither have been exploited, dissected, stretched, resampled and mangled beyond all recognition and served up as inspiring grainscapes which will find their home in a variety of productions.
Whether your project calls for gritty, industrial and dystopian soundscapes, surreal, science fiction elements, twisted signals and transmissions, horror soundbeds, deep drones or experimental noise pieces, Granular Textures is a versatile collection which will serve as a great sonic asset, whatever field of multimedia you work in.

• Harmonic Series Drones is an extension of several of my music compositions. Over the past few years, I've been very interested in data sonification, writing several pieces that turn real-time weather data into music. This library was created using a drone generator that turns weather data into sound. I built this drone generator for my piece Sitka for piano and seasonal electronics.
• Instead of pulling weather data from Sitka, Alaska, as I did in the piece, I used 2016 daily temperature data from the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, a fragile place wrapped up in current political drama and now open to drilling. This library is a sonification of 2016 temperature data in ANWR. The highest global temperature on record was recorded in 2016 (2016 Global Climate Report). It is even worse in the Arctic where temperatures are warming at twice the rate of lower latitudes (2016 Arctic Report Card). With this library, you'll be able to hear the warming, and I hope this library helps to draw attention to the rapidly changing environment of the Arctic.
• Each of the forty-eight drones corresponds to the average temperature of a day in 2016, with twelve drones from each of the four seasons. The drones are built from pure tones made from tightly filtered pink noise. These pure tones are then stacked in harmonic series relationships. For instance, a winter drone might consist of the fundamental and four lowest partials. A summer drone could have the fundamental and partials seven, fourteen, and thirty-two.
• The drones stand on their own without the story. If you never knew they started with weather data, you would still find a variety of pure, rich, microtonal drones with enough variety to fit the mood of any project.
2% FOR THE ENVIRONMENT:
• Two percent of the price of this library is donated to an environmental cause. I view it as an “artist royalty” for the planet!
HARMONICS is a new designed sound collection that explores the inner beauty of resonating metals to create an extensive set of inspiring sonic material for sound design and film scoring – proudly presented by SampleTraxx.
Metal happens to have the right combination of speed of sound and decay. Different metal shapes produce a broad spectrum of soundscapes and tones.
HARMONICS investigates this hidden magic by designing and layering these unique timbres.
The result is an extensive set of designed evolving textures and designed metal elements which are great to create sound cues in minutes, metal hits, passby-reverses and evolving drones.
The nature of this soundpack doesn’t call for compressor or maximizer. Close attention has been paid to preserve the original dynamic excursion of each sound and fully enjoy its natural vibration and evolution.
Having a wide dynamic range guarantees more freedom in layering and arranging different elements to create endless variations.
The sonic material contained in the pack is all presented in a designed fashion and different levels of design are provided: from simple elements to evolving multilayered soundscapes and textures, all based on metallic sources. No external sounds apart from metals have been added to the mix.
86 Designed Textures and Elements (dur. up to 1’10″)
37 Hits (Hi and Low Designed Hits)
26 Pass-by Reverse
9 Tibetan Bowl (Raw Recordings)
9 Kontakt Instruments -Kontakt 5.5 full required for these (free player not supported)
Note: the WAV themselves files can be used without Kontakt
Harsh Noise is a collection of analog feedback loop manipulations where traditional audio equipment is pushed to extremes and sent spiralling out of control.
Featuring glitched-out signal malfunctions, huge walls of noise and piercing high-frequency tones, these sounds will really set the mood for any abstract scenes, unsettling moments or technological nightmare situations in your productions, particularly if working to a horror, science fiction, dystopian or experimental theme.
With each file coming in at 1 minute in length and recorded at a high resolution of 24/96, you are invited to go beyond the source material and explore your own sonic territory by way of editing, filtering and processing to suit your needs.
High Frequency Feedback Loops is a 57 sound collection of harsh, piercing analogue noise sourced from a No-Input Mixer being pushed to its limits. With constant ringing tones, random oscillations and lots of signal screaming in the higher frequency range, this library is a useful addition for your audio toolkit.
Think situations where a character's hearing is impaired, for constructing glitching communications and old school computers loading or to heighten the tension in horror and science fiction scenes. Whatever the requirement, if your next project calls for some seriously intense high-register noise, this one's got you covered.
