  • Drones & Mood Sound Effects Electromagnetic Drones Play Track 171+ sounds included, 108 mins total $42

Electromagnetic Drones is a collection of 171 recordings that capture the invisible electromagnetic landscape produced by electronic devices. Using the Soma Ether, a specialized wide-band receiver, we captured hums, pulses, and static produced by phones, microwaves, fridges, TVs, computers, Wi-Fi routers, and more. Unlike traditional radios that filter out interference, Ether acts as an “anti-radio,” capturing a broad spectrum of electromagnetic activity from hertz to gigahertz, revealing the sonic textures generated by electronic equipment.

The library features both raw recordings directly from the Soma Ether device, as well as designed sounds, giving you a versatile range of textures to work with. These recordings were transformed into deep, evolving drones, ranging from gritty industrial hums and eerie, synth-like tones to rhythmic machine pulses and dissonant, unsettling tones.

Captured at 192kHz, these sounds maintain exceptional clarity, allowing for extreme pitch manipulation and creative sound processing. With its dark, atmospheric qualities, Electromagnetic Drones is well-suited for horror, suspense, drama, sci-fi, and experimental sound design in film, television, and video games. Whether you need haunting ambiences, dystopian textures, or immersive low-frequency drones, this collection provides a rich sonic palette drawn from sounds of the electromagnetic world.

  • Essential Dynamic Drones is intended to be used in a more emotive sense. Some of the tracks are very ‘score’ like and may be able to stand on their own, while other darker, tonal tracks are great accompanied with a full SFX soundtrack behind it (them).

This isn’t a typical Drone library. These sounds, for the most part morph and change over time. Some rise, some fall, while others are constant and dark. Creating tension and uncertainty was the direction I was headed.
There are some ‘light-hearted‘ tracks that are intended to shape a more positive feeling, while the majority of the tracks are in a sense, denser, darker and more emotive, intending on creating uneasiness, uncertainty, and most definitely tension within a scene.

  • VHS Glitch captures the nostalgic yet futuristic sounds of a vintage VCR and VHS tape, recorded with stereo condenser and electromagnetic mics to capture the playback mechanics. The result is a library rich in lo-fi, distorted, and otherworldly sounds, perfect for projects needing a retro-tech vibe or sci-fi edge.

  • I’ve lived in houses near busy roads. Cars driving by at all hours of the day…. Pass Bys… Vehicle Revs, Engine Rumbling, etc etc etc…..Ruining perfectly good recordings. But this time, it’s used to our advantage. All recordings are made during sound effect record sessions. Instead of removing unwanted car sounds, they are amplified, isolated, gained up, increased level.

All recordings range from 0-500Hz and can be used to create organic, real drone like sounds. Rumble, Tremble, Quake, Shake, Sci Fi, Pitch Bends, Rev, Resonates, Trembles and more. Use as a layer in a drone, vehicle, LFE/Subwoofer channel, and whatever else comes to mind. So buckle up and listen carefully, put on your best headphones or listen on your best speaker system.

Disclaimer: Be cautious, these sounds have extreme high volumes in the lower frequencies. Please take care, don’t listen too loudly.

Exterior Rumble Inside uses no special processing other than EQ, adjusting gain, and using iZotope Rx to assist in selecting frequencies to adjust.

These sound files were recorded at 32bit, 192kHz using the Sennheiser MKH8050, Sennheiser MKH30 and Sanken CO-100K microphones into a Sound Devices Mix Pre-10ii.
All are metadata tagged using the Universal Category System in Soundminer, and also searchable in Soundly, and Basehead.

  • Designing wing sounds for flying creatures can sometimes be a challenge. And when it comes to creature sounds, it’s all about options. A small bird like a wren sounds very different than an adult gray goose. To find the right texture, and distinguish between wide and narrow wings, or to accomplish the task of designing bat or dragon wings, I created this library.

This library contains over 11GB of data consisting of 341 files and 2539 sound effects. Besides the typical fabric wing flaps, I used all sorts of props sorted by materials like rubber, neoprene, plastic, paper, etc. This opens the door to new creative sound design options to make your flying creature sound exactly how you want it to. I added all sorts of buzzing, clicking and rustling sounds especially for the flying insects.
