Spectacular sci-fi sound effects, from robot sounds, spacecraft and lasers to other futuristic sounds
‘Civilizations 1’ has that grandiose, large-scale sound! We created 10 themes, along with a bunch of alternative edits ( 30 HQ audio files in total, all loopable). All 10 themes share similar characteristics, which is important in order to make your next sci-fi game soundtrack sound coherent, powerful, and professional. We could definitely imagine it being used during the gameplay or in the main menu of an adventure, arcade, RPG, or any kind of futuristic space-themed game!
Full Theme (everything plays together), No Ornaments (Without ambient ornaments on top of the sound), and Lite Version (No Drums, No Ornaments). We suggest starting Lite Versions by using a slight ‘Fade In’ effect for best results.

Evocative Sound and Visuals is pleased to announce the release of Electromagnetic Fields. This library contains 163 meticulously crafted and mastered sounds from 68 devices and structures captured in high-quality stereo with a Sony PCM D100 recorder and two small induction coil microphones. Included are hums, drones, beeps, bleeps, buzzes, glitches, pulses, static and more strange sounds I cannot describe.
With few exceptions, we mere mortals can’t hear the electromagnetic fields (EMF) surrounding us. If we could, we’d go crazy, especially in our ever-expanding electronic environment. We can tune our ears into this other sonic world using induction coil microphones. I never knew quite what to expect when placing mics on an object. Having two microphones with fairly long cables allowed me to find the most sonically interesting parts of an object to focus on. Two mics spaced apart also allow for a nice stereo spread.
Have fun experimenting with and inserting these hi-tech sounds (some captured in 96kHz/24-bit and others in 192kHz/24-bit) into your next science fiction and otherworldly creations. Please don’t take the device’s sound literally. That SLR’s motor drive may just be your next rapid-fire laser cannon.
This collection features an assortment of high quality sci-fi game sounds, from mechs to laser guns and interface sounds. It also includes a selection of original retro synth music, composed to suit a variety of moods.
Illumination Designed Bundle Vol. 1 features an experimental collection of sounds crafted from the electromagnetic signals of various light source.
This bundle offers a variety of sci-fi inspired sounds, including cinematic elemenets, drones/ambiences and explosions. Our Audio Craftsmen used a Lite2Sound photodiode amplifier to capture the electric signal lights emit. These were then meticulously edited and manipulated to create a series of unique sounds.
The 3.27GB collection includes three volumes:
Illumination Designed Vol. 1:
A series of unique cinematic elements that blend stingers, risers, impacts and low frequency rumbles.
Illumination Designed Vol. 2:
A series of unique ambiences and drones.
Illumination Designed Vol. 3:
A series of futuristic, hi-tech explosions.
This bundle is designed to enhance film, TV, and game productions or trailers with an experimental, cyberpunk, or abstract edge. The sounds are suitable for genres like sci-fi, thriller, and fantasy, adding mystery, eeriness, and tension to projects.
All sounds are delivered in a high-quality 24Bit 96kHz format, allowing for further sonic manipulation. They have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive UCS compliant metadata for easy organization and use.
We’ve followed up Sinister Textures Volume 1 with something more Ghoulish and Sinister
These recordings were made from a variety of Electronical sources, Geofone recordings and Software Synths/Instruments and then re-mangled and tortured till there was nothing left but fear, making them suggestively Eerie, Scary, Horror full and down right extra Sinister
Sinister Textures Volume 2 contains 50 terrifying audio samples and has a total running time of 1 Hour and 36 mins and 10 seconds, which is exactly the same amount of time you wait in the cue to enter through the gates of Hell……… or so we’re told.
Sinister Textures 2 will give you enough audio to give your project an undertone of Horror boosting your project to the next level. Sinister Textures 2 has been edited to allow a drop in ready and Royalty Free sample pack. These Samples can be used in a variety of projects from Sound Designing/Compositions for TV, Film, Documentaries and Video Games. UCS Compliant and Metadata is attached to the samples
After creating the sample pack GEODRONE we added these samples to our In House Kontakt Instrument and whilst testing the product, we got lost in re-designing the samples and GEODRONE Designed was born
GEODRONE Designed was created by re-designing samples recorded via the LOM Geofon, we recorded items such as a Cooker, Dish Washer, FishTank, Fan, Freezer, Fridge, Dryer and Electronic Device.
Sounds we re-created:
Alarms
Synthesized Basses

Waterphone Designed Vol. 3 is a collection of abstract ambiences and atmospheric drones. Created by recording and manipulating sounds from the unique instrument, the Waterphone.
Captured using a contact microphone and guitar pedal board, and played with a violin bow and various drum beaters. Our Audio Craftsmen then meticulously edited and designed 21 unique sounds, including 8 ‘raw soundscapes’ to use in your own sound design.
This library is a perfect addition to Film, TV & Game productions or trailers with a cinematic, experimental or abstract edge. Use these sounds in sci-fi, horror, thriller and action projects to create moments of mystery, eeriness and tension.
All sounds are delivered in 24Bit 192kHz format allowing further sonic manipulation and have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.

A collection of all the three ARK Facility Levels bundled up to make you save!
42$ instead of 53$ for all the sounds and instruments in the ARK Facility series.
The “ARK Facility” is a collection of libraries, comprised of several volumes, each of which has a single or multiple Kontakt instruments.
The entire series is centered on unusual percussion sounds with a lot of editing possibilities and several onboard effects. Each Volume (called “Level n”) has a distinctive set of basic sounds that can be used for composing and producing purposes – like a drum machine – as well as for soundtrack composition and sound design in films, videogames and any other multimedia product.
The first volume (called “Level 1”) is a single instrument library with several percussion sounds and a lot of sound manipulation possibilities.
The second volume (called “Level 2”) is a collection of five different instruments with several percussion sounds and a lot of sound manipulation possibilities each.
The third volume (called “Level 3 – Organic Transients”) is a five instruments collection library with a lot of percussion sounds and several sound manipulation possibilities. The name “Organic transients” refers to the fact that all of the sounds are created with exhausted drumheads recorded with several sticks and mallets making a huge palette of kicks, snares and creative hits with an organic feel yet very “electronic”. The wide range of sonic manipulation controls allow for great flexibility and sound design freedom. With the 3 samples Round Robin switch it’s possible to give more lively feeling to a static track and with the momentary switches for the every effect you can turn on and off specific effects temporarily while performing and/or recording.
Exterior Vibrations Vol. 3 comprises textural, tonal sounds recorded with two stereo-figured contact microphones. Our Audio Craftsmen performed dynamic movements across metal, wood and motor vehicles found in the outside world to yield an abstract selection of hits, squeaks, shakes, bounces, braaams! and mechanical sound effects.
These raw recordings are made for further design and are great for adding an abstract edge to your projects.
All sounds are delivered in 24Bit 192kHz format allowing further sonic manipulation, and have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.

Audiobeast is proud to present our second sample library; the only library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in urban environments! For this recording session we were given access to a military training site known as a FIBUA (Fighting In Built-Up Area) consisting of streets with a variety of buildings, vehicles, and exclusive permission to fire weapons in several locations. Pictures of the street and gas station locations and firing points are included.
The aim of this library was to offer the slapback type tails needed for gun sound design for convincing city scenes in film, games and tv production. It’s always been difficult to find gun recordings in a city environment so we hope this library helps sound people everywhere.
This Library contains over 3 GBs of weapons being fired in multiple urban environments, a street, outside of a gas station and inside of a tower block. 218 WAV files of single shots, bursts and many with multiple takes, all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.
Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the street 100 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned around corners, a nearby graveyard, through walls and in armored vehicles to capture a variety of perspectives.
Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
If you need a wider selection of interior gun recordings please check out our first library – The London Warehouse Firearms library
Florida Thunder by Eric Berzins contains 111 distinct wav files with over 200 dry thunderclaps and over 300 thunderclaps with rain. All files were recorded in the US state of Florida between 2021 and 2025. Florida has more lightning strikes than any other U.S. state! All files have been meticulously edited and cleaned, and have embedded UCS-compliant Soundminer metadata.
MAGIC – ALCHEMY is a professional sound effects library built from real chemical reactions and elemental forces. It delivers short, character-rich magic sound effects perfect for spellcasting, magical UI design, and fantasy storytelling. Designed to sit cleanly in a mix and shimmer with personality, these spell sounds are ideal for games, trailers, audio dramas and more. Real reactions, recorded with obsessive detail.
No digital fakery here. Every sound in MAGIC – ALCHEMY began as a live experiment — alcohol burning in jars, butane growling through pipes, fuses igniting, water swirling in glass. These are true-to-life textures, captured in a lab-grade recording setup. The result? Magical sound with depth, realism, and spark..
These are not long, cinematic flourishes. This library is about immediacy — short, dry, punchy magic effects that are easy to slot into your project. Ideal for game asset design, magical feedback sounds, and trailer moments where clarity counts.
Need a healing chime, a cursed hex, or something more ambiguous? The Designed section is grouped into Holy, Cursed, and Neutral categories — giving you emotional options that match your scene’s intent, whether you’re crafting a fantasy RPG or a subtle magical interaction.
Whether you’re layering magic for a fantasy film, adding interactive audio to a mobile game, or creating rich textures for audiobooks or theatre, MAGIC – ALCHEMY fits right in. It’s mix-ready, flexible, and full of sonic character.
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
