Take a trip back in time with our new sound effects library, Antique Clocks. Our Audio Craftsmen have exclusively captured the sounds of various, genuine antique clocks including, but not limited to, multiple antique mechanisms, Grandfather clocks, mantel clocks and pendulum clocks.
This collection has all the staple sounds for your films, documentaries, video games and other projects, in particular those with historical settings.
All sounds were recorded in 24Bit 96kHz allowing further sonic manipulation in our acoustically treated Foley suite. We then meticulously edited and tagged the files with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.
Our Auto Repair (248 HQ – 96kHz/24bit) library includes both tools and general ambiences of auto repair shops as well as home garage sounds. Hit play, close your eyes and you will find yourself amidst cars, toolboxes, revving engines, mechanisms, servo sounds, metal clunks, and car mechanics in action.
In this library, you will find audio samples of wrenches and ratchets being dropped on various surfaces and with various intensities, different kinds of metal clunk and mechanical motions, as well as audio of mechanics operating hydraulic machines and servomotors, handling screwdrivers, welding and hammering chassis, handling screwdrivers/ pneumatic pistols and sawing/scraping metal auto parts. All captured in real garages and auto repair shops.
In addition to the sounds mentioned above, we have included a variety of clean, studio recordings of hand tools and metal parts that can be used as starting points for further sound design. We had cars and bikes brought in, which we used to record a series of engine startups/shutdowns, idling, and revs which might serve as starters for creating multilayered, compelling atmospheres.
Robotics Lab is 26 minutes/788 MB of industrial robots, 3D-printers & CNC cutters in 62 separate files – recorded in 24bit/96kHz using Sennheiser MKH microphones. All files are UCS-compliant.
This library gives you recordings of two different ABB industrial robots; the large IRB 6620 and the smaller IRB 120. You get both single, isolated movements and more complex sequences with the robots moving on multiple axes simultaneously. Also included are takes of the robots idling, with some subtle but interesting sounds as the result.
I also recorded Ultimaker 2 3D-printers – 3 of them running at once, as well as isolated sounds from a single printer. A large Zünd flatbed CNC-cutter was also recorded. All in all, lots of servos and stepper-motors, with lots of whizzing, whirring, clicking and ratcheting for your sound design projects.
Over 375 sounds of creaking and cracking materials, including breaking cables, ropes under tension and about to split, wires and strings under stress, metal friction causing tension. Recorded with a combination of Sanken CO100K and Nevaton microphones for full frequency sound content. Saved as 192KHz these files allow for high resolution editing. Useful for impact sounds in cinema, games or documentary, but also for cartoon sounds or even creature sounds as many of the recordings contain vowel-like screeching and scraping.
Imagine a scene where a rope is about to break over an edge, an object being torn by a huge cable, a wooden structure about to collapse under stress and so on… Our brain is triggered by those rattling sounds or spine-breaking cracks coming from little fibers being split apart, parts of the structure creaking, wires scraping over edges…
These sounds can be perceived as delicate but have a great psychological impact as we interpret these and know what is about to happen. So suspense is built with both background and close-up sounds. Useful when building tension, when creating a sense of upcoming climax, these sonic elements will work out to amplify the details that are often important but not always visible for the eye.
All the source material and recording are acoustic, there are no digital effects applied. This guarantees natural organic harmonics, even way beyond our hearing. Pitching down the 192 KHz files will let you discover another collection of sounds!

Old Cameras sound library features 69 recordings of different camera related activities. 13 different cameras were recorded with two MKH 8040s in 192kHz. Total length of the files is 52 minutes. Inside you’ll find sound effects like rewinding film, pulling different levers, rotating dials, shutter effects, handling noises, lens focus rings and aperture clicks, polaroid mechanism and more.
This sound effects library of latches, locks, switches, clips, slides, clasps, gears, bolts, and ratchets is a mechanical sonic powerhouse, offering the functional and mechanical sounds of a plethora of quirky contraptions that latch or lock together in some manner or another. Some source materials were discovered in old railway yards, others were random findings in an antique mall, while others still were dislodged components of even larger, more complex machines. Like little sonic building blocks, the sounds herein are primarily reduced to their smallest meaningful components, giving you the quick, accessible freedom to drop/move/stack them for fast production. This is a unique bicycle library that captures this characteristic bike in clean, quiet, nicely performed true exterior rides. Including multiple perspectives, speeds and actions. From fast passbys on asphalt to slow onboard recordings and smooth stops.
The UglyBike is a typical old bicycle that’s working fine, but needs some TLC. It is a bicycle that’s just average, a little rattle a gentle scrape, a bike that everyone has had but got traded in for a newer one. A story of unrequited love.. :)

UserComments
We used this field to create the UserData and give you the minimal set of information about the recording in the filename.
Additionally, we added Markers to some wave files, so specific sound events are easy to spot in Soundminer and other apps.

The “Seismic Activities” sound archive contains over 2500 different noises from vibrations, shocks and their resonances. We have taken the trouble to use a set-up of different natural sounds, such as frequency drops, thunder or the sound of deep rumbling, to control two structure-borne sound transducers.

We have installed these converters in various locations. For example, we were at a company that produces large roller doors. There we shook all sorts of pipes, high racks, tool cabinets, gates, and the like.
In addition, we worked with many household items to create a variety of sound structures, which should make the use of “seismic activities” particularly diverse.
Almost all of the sounds were generated from a multi-channel set-up made up of Sennheiser MKH80 (ORTF), DPA 4060 (AB) and a Sony DR100. So you can expect the best sound quality. As always, a Sounddevices 744T and a Mixpre were used as recording devices.
As always, all files come with burned in metadata in open standards like iXml, BWAV, ID3 Chunk.
Loading Sounds is a collection of various VCRs, CDs, Cassettes and Game console recordings focused on their mechanical requirements to play music or movies. There are even Printers loading paper and car CD players loading damaged CDs. The sounds are useful for the beginning of tracks, youtube video or sound effects for a movie, game or multimedia project.
Introducing the ultimate roller coaster sound library: Roller Coaster Sound Builder includes high-quality recordings from 5 different roller coasters, from classic steel coasters to aggressive impulse coaster. This huge collection includes clean roller coaster passbys, onboard recordings, and classic roller coaster screams.
Roller coaster pass by sounds were recorded without background noise in an amusement park that was closed to the public. A great amount of natural screams with different intensities is also included, recorded during a regular summer day in the amusement park.
This collection provides unique, hard-to-access source material in high-quality, with a large amount of takes for creative sound design. We worked hard to capture as much useful material as we could when we had full access to the rides. All sounds were recorded in Särkänniemi amusement park, Tampere, Finland. This library was created to provide designers with drag and drop sounds for sweeps, fades, surges, swells, and other embellishments. Each of the sounds in this collection were designed to be used to heighten events, but they can be mashed, stacked, and chopped to create all sorts of eclectic designs. There are plays on musical concepts as well as thematic events, with each sound purposefully building up, culminating in a peak moment, and then dissipating in some way. Want the sounds of a garage / auto repair workshop? The Auto Workshop SFX library features lots of different tool sounds and general ambiences from automotive workshops (originally recorded for scenes in the Bulgarian feature Godless).
The idea was to capture the sounds at both closeup and off-mic, to be able to fade easily between them. A mono microphone was placed close to the source, and a set of stereo microphones was set up further away, capturing more of the room and echo. The result is very usable, and the ability to fade between closeup and wide shot works very well.
