Metal sound effects
Geophonic Design Bundle is a diverse collection of unique and abstract designed sounds with infrasonic frequencies which go as low as 10Hz. The bundle includes three libraries with a total runtime of 217+ mins (7.01 GB) that have strong sci-fi & horror vibes perfect for your films, video games, documentaries and other projects that require a mysterious and ominous soundscape.
Our Audio Craftsmen used a ‘Geophone’ which is a seismic measurement device used to record seismic waves and vibrations of the earth, to record low heavy vibrations and rumbles of various surfaces and materials, hits and interactions of wood, metal, trees, soil, clay and other natural ingredients. We have also captured sounds from window glass, busy roads with vehicle pass bys, metal posts and rails with impacts, water passing through pipes, metal containers, plastic buckets and much, much more.
All of the included sounds were then precisely edited and designed by our dedicated in house team to build ambiences such as: outer space, underground bunkers, submarines, weather stations, underground sewers, a labyrinth of metal pipes, nuclear wastelands, research bases, boulder movement, metal ghost voices, spirits calling, subsonic water texture, tree bark connection, wind interference and many more. In addition, all the files are available in 24Bit 96kHz and with UCS compliant metadata to integrate seamlessly with your workflow.
The sounds will also make a great addition to your library as layered textures, to build a mysterious atmosphere in your projects, and will be perfect as drones and ambiences for futuristic, sci-fi and horror scenes.
You will be saving 25% of the total cost of the individual libraries when purchasing this bundle, an excellent value for money addition to your sci-fi/horror sound effects libraries.

Low-price. High-quality. Essential.
A collection of 150 metal chain sounds, clanking, hitting and dropping against each other, as if by prisoners in a jail.
The sounds are fully compatible with the Universal Category System (UCS) – a public domain initiative establishing a standardized category list for the classification of sound effects.
Note: All of these sounds (and more!) are included in the 96 General Library (get 3,000+ SFX for FREE!)
Gravity volume 1 consists of impact and drag effects for several materials in 9 different categories. As the first release in this series, we focused on a selection of materials to cover. We set the aim to record realistic sounds that are minimally compressed and can be used as a base for physics simulation or foley.
All sounds have been edited to single takes per file, grouped per material in their own folders. In addition, each individual file has META data included. This gives you quick access to the sounds you need without losing that creative flow.
For scrapes and drags, we recorded long takes which can be used for the construction of loops.
As an extra, we included takes which resulted in interesting textures or sounds, suitable for any sort of creative use you can come up with!
Get a total of 180 sounds of the best sounding locks you can imagine. With 60 original source sounds placed in Dry, Small Room and Large Room environments, there’s no need for further processing with these carefully crafted locks from the sound designers at Rumble Studios. Divided into Common, Mechanical & Futuristic locks, each sound is unique and meta tagged for Soundminer so you can find them easily.
• In Metal Corral, get a visceral collection of metallic screeches from a corral on a working cattle ranch. Wail on the paddock sections with a t-post and hear guttural resonances from 50 interlocking sections. Hear latches clacking with frenetic vigor and clanging metallic booms. Hear thick, tonal growls resonating like fog horns and single squeaks stuttering with real grit. Hear gates grating with the visceral sound of an iceberg tearing through the Titanic.
• This library offers you an extensive collection of metals painstakingly performed to bring these inanimate objects to life and transform them into intensely gritty living textures.
2% FOR THE ENVIRONMENT & CARBON NEUTRAL:
• Two percent of the price of this library is donated to an environmental cause, as an “artist royalty” for the planet!
• Carbon offset credits were purchased to offset my field recording travel for this library.
Heavy Metal! is an extensive collection of bangs, chains, scrapes, squeaks, and sawing – all involving an old, large, heavy, metal car door. There is a ton of variation, including timbre, since most of the library was recorded with multiple stereo pairs of microphones.
• Chains: movement, sliding, impacts, & ratcheting across metal
• Impacts: Collins axe, chains, hatchet, machete, rubber mallet
• Scrapes: Hatchet, machete, saws, squeaks, dryer tube – TONS of variation
• Sawing (on metal): Hack saw, machete blade + saw
Introducing a bold new take on Wood and Metal Creak SFX that will help you bring your project to the next level.
As sound enthusiasts, we were keen to bring something new to the table for this category of sound…and so a novel recording approach was created to produce the sounds for this library. Due to the incredibly subtle (and not so subtle!) audio details embedded in creak sounds, a recording environment is required with particularly effective sound isolation. At the same time, a high level of control over the variety of surface type and performances of the creaks themselves is needed. Our MacGyver recording engineer Phil found a solution that produced a setup within which we had isolation, control, and variety… the “Creak Box”.
The Creak Box is able to capture the most detailed essence of most resonant surface types, and has multiple stages of tension with which the performer of the creaks can play with. Happy with the source sounds that were being created – which is always the most important stage from beginning to end – we found that a multi mic rig was needed. To really get the depth and detail of these creaks we found that the best results were achieved by using a spatially tweaked-up microphone setup using the contact mic LOM Geophon, a pair of cardioid Sennheiser Mkh8040s, and a shotgun Rode NTG3. The best recordings always come from testing multiple mic positions, and experimenting with input levels and mic positions; this sound library brings you only our best takes.
As sound designers, we always need new, better, varied material. We want to feel excited by and connected to the sounds we use – enjoy and make it yours!
Wood: Old wood stairs, doors, floors, ships, houses, twisting and bending wood, chairs, tables, fences, and more.
Metal: Big and small doors, small squeaks, huge resonant duct and convector surfaces, chairs, benches, wires, bedsprings, and more.
(The video bellow contains added room tone to show some of the sounds in context.)
FRICTION – IMPACTS – RATTLE
You want to make those epic cinematic metal sounds used in every film or video game but don’t have the right tools?
METAL MOVEMENTS is a strong sound design toolkit made to create powerful impacts, massive destruction and epic transitions. This extremely versatile collection of metallic squeaks, scratches, rattles, impacts and various metallic movement sounds from different perspectives gives you the best source materials when it comes to making your own cinematic metal sounds. Let your creativity flow: pitch, stretch, layer and hugely process the sounds to their limits.
RECORDED IN AN ABANDONED FACTORY HALL
The perfect spot to capture the sounds for this library was an old factory building. The place was full of huge steel girders, rusting barrels, chains, rattling metal sheets and resonating poles. The unique sound of the former production hall provided a huge and clean reverb that makes the recordings sound really impressive. In addition to the metal sounds you will get the original impulse responses of the hall.
AVAILABLE IN STEREO AND QUAD
Because of the special sound quality of the factory hall, you can get the library in both stereo and quad. If stereo isn’t enough for you, dive into the surround sounds and create something stunningly immersive. Each version also includes near mono recordings with less reverb so you have even more options to manipulate the sound.
IMPACTO contains a wide variety of sound types, ranging from trailer impacts and granular clouds to drones and full-fledged melodic tracks, which can be used as music stems in movies or games.
Most of source sounds were recorded using Sanken CO-100K ultrasonic microphone, which can capture frequencies up to 100 kHz, to get the most interesting sound foundation.
For this purpose I recorded various objects and textures (metal, glass, wood), as well as traditional acoustic instruments, strings, large gongs, singing bowls, didgeridoo, percussion, female vocals, chanting and etc. These sounds were further heavily processed with plug-ins, custom Max/MSP patches and external effects to get strange and unusual results.
The library also contains Source folder with recordings that are almost not processed (apart from pitch shift).
As a bonus, all sounds are integrated into Kontakt instruments with user-friendly interface and several effects (LP filter with resonance, AR envelope, three-band equalizer, reverb, delay and chorus).
This library contains 410 sounds of cleanly recorded, realistic sword sounds.
Including:
• Sword impacts on swords
• Swords colliding and sliding
• Swords impacting on armour
• Swords sheathing
• Swords unsheathing
• and Whooshes
I have left in some natural rings so it can be used with the natural ring.
Or it can be cut out to allow more control.
(The example listed has background ambience and some reverb to show how the sounds can be naturally implemented into a soundscape)
On the eternal search for new sounds, here is a hefty collection of creature voices created solely through the use of a metal flexatone.
This collection brings you 2,000 original sounds at 96kHz/24-bit stereo offering 4 distinct styles of vocalization prepared to breathe life into your creatures, whether they be alien or machine. Each style has over 450 variations covering over 15 different emotions such as “arguing”, “sad”, “scared”, “excited”, “laugh”, “question” and general “talking”. These 4 vocal styles are:
1. “Voice A”: The untouched raw voice created by the flexatone, perfect for metallic creatures! (0:55-1:12 in the audio example!)
2. “Voice B”: A slightly deeper voice with additional upper harmonics for a sci-fi aesthetic, ideal for futuristic machines! (0:02-0:13 in the audio example!)
3. “Voice C”: A more mature voice with some throaty quivering, suitable for many alien creatures! (0:16-0:32 in the audio example!)
4. “Voice D”: A brighter, lively, child-like voice perfect for younger, smaller creatures! (0:35-0:52 in the audio example!)
In addition to these 4 extensive voices, there are also over 150 traditional flexatone sounds such as the iconic comedic “boing” found in classic cartoons, as well as shakes, flicks, rises, falls and quivers!
Note: The sounds in the audio example have some panning added; the sounds in the library itself are entirely centred.

There are few, if any, other mechanical devices that have existed more ubiquitously alongside modern humans than time pieces. They are intricate, precise, and complex, made in as many styles and designs as the mind can imagine, all of which sound incredible, making them a sound designer’s dream.
We profiled 12 clocks using a superposition technique, identifying and pinpointing specific parts and perspectives of each piece. Additionally, we’ve added an extra bonus clock that was not fully profiled, but just sounded too good to leave out. Each clock has a stereo (MidSide) capture and a series of mono channel spot recordings. Layer ’em, mix ’em, and match ’em up in whichever way you see fit.
Clocks include:
Focused mechanics and components include:
Ticking at the escapement, winding of various arbors, balance wheels and hairsprings, chimes, bells, gong wires, and hammers, fan flies, weights, action keys, locks, doors, and bellows
The detail, precision, and tactility of these assets are like sonic chamomile for the mind. Alongside the power and resonance of the gongs, chimes, and bells, the juxtaposition of these different tonal textures make for a wonderfully dynamic collection.
Sounds that activate some of the deepest parts of our brain’s functioning, the content of Clockwork is simultaneously widely utilitarian and deeply innate. No matter your project, it’s time to dive in.
Our Antique Small Metals sound effects library contains various sounds from multiple antique items. WHAT SOUND PROFESSIONALS SAY:
Philip Eriksson – Audio Director (It Takes Two, Battlefield V, Star Wars: Battlefront I & II)
“Slava has some pretty kick ass sound libraries!”
Victor Mercader – AAA Sound Designer (Apex Legends)
“I find myself continuously using Slava’s SFX libraries to blend it’s pristine and detailed sound designs into my own sounds. They always add that cutting edge I am missing and make my sound designs more unique and pristine.”
Enos Desjardins – Sound Designer/Sound Effects Editor (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Black Mirror)
“Slava has been creating some really cool libraries which I find myself using time and again. Really high quality recordings to start with but then the cool processing he has used for example in his cinematic whoosh libraries really stand out. They are not just your standard generic whoosh sounds but are loaded with character and have a unique feel to them that is really fresh and cuts through in the nicest of ways.”
Bjørn Jacobsen – AAA Sound Designer (CyberPunk 2077, HITMAN, DARQ)
“Slava has for several years made high quality sound effects for me to play with. I use his sound libraries across multiple projects as lego blocks of my creations.”
Massive Movement is a collection of enormous sound effects from gigantic structures and machines. It features:
California Grassland Abandoned is a collection of 65 Stereo and 18 Quad Recordings focused on Abandoned old structures, various Int / Ext Winds, Metal Latches, Gates, Wood Creaks, and an assortment of other interesting sounds.
The recordings from this library took place in The Carrizo Plain, an open expanse of Grassland that is located West of the Mojave Desert in California’s Central Valley. Abandoned and weathered dilapidated remnants of old ranches, water tanks, barns, metal sheds, farm machinery, and corrals from a bygone era of the West can be discovered if one ventures off the beaten path.
An old rusted corral gate’s latches, hinges, locks, and ronks. A 1950 Ford Truck’s wild sound door creaks. The still quiet of morning ambiences. A very animated barn door. A water tank in the middle of no man’s land bending and booming as the elements of nature have their way. Calm, medium, and higher winds in metal sheds, small houses, barns, tall dry grass, and in some exterior locations out in the Plain.
The goal was to try to capture anything I could that had a lot of character along with providing a sense of what a lot these areas sound like. These recordings aren’t meant to be absolutely desolate so in a few of the wind and ambience tracks there is some light birds, and sometimes a few insects.
The companion library to this, California Grassland Wildlife contains a number of different bird species and a couple of other animals and insects native to the environment.

I found a very long disused bore hole in the middle of an Icelandic lava field. I dropped rocks down it, poured water into it, vocalised into it, stroked a rasp file on a plastic bottle stuck into the top of it and other experiments.
The results were insane metallic echoes, delays and reflections.
