    Synth Instruments DR-1 Bad Grounds Play Track 71 sounds included $20

    DR-1 Bad Grounds is a sample based synthesizer for Kontakt 6.2.2, built upon mains hum sounds. Although it was originally designed to create drones and soundscapes, it has also more general sound design capabilities like a real synthesizer.

    The main controls of the instrument resemble those of a classic subtractive synthesizer: a multimode filter, volume envelope, filter envelope, 2 LFOs for volume and filter modulation, insert and send effects. Moreover, some additional advanced features are included, which take advantage of the Kontakt built-in granular engine for sample playback, for deeper sound manipulation.
    There are 6 main instruments available, 3 for each sample used. In addition, several preset patches are provided with each instrument.

    Our Audio Craftsmen recorded sounds ranging from explosive drums, metallic hits and impact sounds using sledge hammers, bricks, drums, scrap metal and smaller percussion instruments.     We have kept the recorded sounds natural and created huge sounds by layering up different recordings maintaining a natural feel to samples.     The “Cedar” library series is a collection of libraries, comprised of three different instruments:

    – Ponticello (the present one)

    – Sul Tasto

    – Bizzarro

    Each volume is a single Kontakt instrument with a peculiar timbral personality. The entire series is created recording sounds from a luthier classical guitar. They can be used for composing and producing purposes – like an acoustic percussion setup – as well as for soundtrack composition and sound design in films, video games and any other multimedia product. “Ponticello” and “Sul Tasto” also feature a dedicated effects page that can be used to process the sounds in the library with several processors, both send and insert effects. They are “percussion oriented” sounds, while “Bizzarro” is a keyboard instrument.

    Introduction to “Ponticello”

    The instrument contains 10 sets of sounds, called “Engines”. Each set has a dedicated channel strip in the interface and can be processed with a dedicated sub-page.   • Cinematic & Trailer Sound Effects Old Broken Piano Play Track 250 sounds included $69

    For Old Broken Piano we have recorded an old piano manufactured in the 1940s by the brothers Manegold. It has not been maintained and tuned for decades, giving it a unique, dark and nostalgic sound character.
    The instrument was recorded with a Sennheiser MKH 8040 Stereo Pair connected to a Sound Devices 702T.

    MKH 8040 are microphones with extended frequency response up to 50.000 Hz, which is great if you want to further process, re-pitch or stretch audio files.

    Rather unconventional approaches were used to „play“ the piano: Not a single key was touched! It was performed using a violin bow, various mallets and sticks, kitchen utensils, sticky tape and bare hands. The casing of the piano was partly taken apart to get direct access to the strings and the interior components of the instrument.

    A wide array of interesting sounds have been achieved by bowing, scraping or hitting single and multiple strings or parts of the wood body. For longer resonances, the sustain pedal was pressed down during almost all recordings.

    Old Broken Piano is a collabration between SampleTraxx and german sound designer Sebastian Emling.

    This library is the ideal companion for any professional sound designer, trailer or film composer.
