Glass Bottle Percussion is a cinematic instrument built from 400+ sample recordings of antique glass bottles.
Our Audio Craftsmen meticulously edited, balanced and programmed 4 round robins and 3 velocity layers for each bottle, before integrating them into our Kontakt interface, giving Film Composers and Music Producers a suite of unique textures to use in their tracks. These sounds are perfect for trailer percussion loops, rhythmic tension, electronic music and film score cues with an exotic tonality.
The Main Articulations include: Drumstick Hits, Hand Taps, Bottle Top Hits, Drum Beater Hits, Nail Taps, Rolls, Scrapes and Wobbles.
But we didn’t stop there… As always with our Kontakt library releases, our in-house Composers designed an eclectic array of designed patches. Pads, choirs, drones, oil drums, screams, plucks and even karate chops give the user both tonal and atonal material to layer with their percussion, and build a haunting, glassy texture into their sound.
The 344 Audio Kontakt interface provides a variety of controls that encourage experimentation with the patches. The built in Arpeggiator is great for generating hundreds of percussion variations on the fly, while the Main View provides a set of parameters perfect for shaping the sounds your way.
Kontakt 5.8.1 or higher is required.
NOTE: This library does not run in the free ‘Kontakt Player’

Goose bumps are guaranteed with the sound of war horns such as the wooden Lur, thunderous mighty percussion, a full ensemble of frame-drums as well as mystical throat chants.
These instruments are complemented by an impressive collection of pulsating pads and atmospheric soundscapes which evolve over longer periods. These unique sounds ensure that Dark ERA can clearly be regarded as the next masterpiece created by Eduardo Tarilonte.

„Electric Taishogoto“ for Audiomodern’s Soundbox features a virtual instrument based on the traditional japanese instrument “Taishogoto”, also known as the “Nagoya Harp”. The version recorded for this Soundbox instrument is an original electric Sporano Taishogoto made in Japan in the early 1990s.
It offers a unique combination of traditional and experimental sounds for a wide range of musical applications,
The instrument features meticulously sampled recordings of the DI signal with 2-4 velocity layers per patch in the strummed version. There are also two different velocities for key presses (as the taishogoto can be played with pressing the keys only), capturing subtle variations in mechanical clicking on the attack and the overall sound. And you will get some sounds of a bowed taishogoto, too.
The raw recordings were processed using a selection of vintage and boutique gear to give the instrument a distinctive character. Flavors like preamp overdrive or distortion and even a damaged character, with authentic grit and noise are provided in the patches. All processing is done with real hardware units (except the internal fx in soundbox for some of the patches), no FX software or emulations have been used. This processing includes effects such as a broken Tape Delay from the 1980s, various distortion pedals, vintage 90s rack guitar FX units and some lofi pedals, all of which contribute to the unique tonal qualities of the Electric Taishogoto.
IMPORTANT: You will need the free Soundbox Engine to use this product, which can be downloaded here: www.audiomodern.com/soundbox
This is the version for Audiomodern soundbox engine. You can also purchase a version for NI Kontakt here – which has a wider variety of sounds and a deeper sampling architecture like strumming direction per keyswitch and round robins.

Scraped Cymbal is a collection of 78 sounds, pristinely recorded, edited and mastered as 96k/24bit stereo wave files. This companion to the Bowed Cymbal series gives you more options for your stinger attacks. David took the old, slightly cracked crash cymbal, and literally cut into it with tin snips (picture below). In this library you will find a dark ambience sounds.
These sounds are perfect to use in movies, trailers, games, documentaries, etc.
These sounds were all created by me on virtual synthesizers.
After working these sounds in post-production, this library comes with 5 dark ambiences.
As a minimalist monophonic synthesizer from the 70s, the ARP AXXE is as straightforward as it gets: Single oscillator, one envelope generator, a simple low-pass filter, white noise generator, pwm… However, it still manages to achieve that delightfully gnarly ARP sound that’s so unique to everything this little New England-based synth manufacturer put together.
This pack of carefully multi-sampled AXXE patches is a tribute to this simple synth’s greatness and contains tons of musical and useful sounds that are just as relevant today as they were back when this little synth hit store shelves. From solid basses to quirky plucks, from noise crashes to surprisingly competent synth drums – this pack is sure to inspire you.
No corners were cut during the sampling process and every single patch was recorded one semitone at a time for consistent timbre and maximum authenticity. Additionally, each note was tuned individually to make sure this pack can work along all your other instruments and samples.
Recorded with Rheingold music cables and high-end Antelope Audio converters, these samples are pristine and endlessly tweakable. To make sure that this pack is useful for everyone, I’m offering you these patches in a whole load of different formats so that you can bring them into your favorite sampler. Even hardware workstations are accounted for with a full MPC Expansion and files for various KORG machines.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
