  • Cinematic/Trailer Instruments Beautiful Bells Vol 1 Play Track 1000+ sounds included, 253 mins total $109

Beautiful Bells Vol 1 contains the solo ringing of 76 swinging bells, recorded in 43 churches, cathedrals, abbeys, basilicas and chapels across France, and 15 peals of multiple bells, called plenum, with unprecedented quality. Most of the sounds were recorded inside bell towers.

Swinging bells are struck by a hanging clapper. They have a natural pitch modulation due to the Doppler effect, and a timbre modulation due to varying orientation. They produce a deep and lively sound and are mostly used to announce masses, religious holidays, weddings and funerals.

Every bell size is represented in this library, from huge bourdons (bells whose pitch are below C3) weighing several tons to small chapel bells weighing around 20 kilograms. You will find bells founded from 16th to 21st century with a great variety of timbres and tunings. The sounds are sorted by note, from D2 to F5.

By sorting the solo sounds by location, you can recreate authentic bell combinations. You also have the freedom to create any custom combination or use the sounds as instruments in musical scores.

All the sounds in this library were recorded in bell towers or as close as possible to provide great sonic precision and optimal signal-to-noise ratio.

Over 12,000 kilometers were traveled during six months to get you one of the most exhaustive swinging bell sound library ever recorded.

  • ARP‘s best selling Instrument delivers classic Strings, fat Bass, & quirky Synths

The ARP OMNI is not just a synth, it’s more of a predecessor to modern day performance keyboards with its 3 distinct sound engines: Strings, Synth, and Bass. It’s string engine utilizes a divide-down tone generator that technically gives it unlimited polyphony. Its classic string sounds will be instantly recognizable to any fans of Joy Division, The Cars, or Kraftwerk. One might even say that the OMNI’s string engine played a big part in establishing the sound of New Wave. A “hollow” waveform mode gives the strings a more synth-like touch. In either mode, OMNI’s strings are lush and beautiful sounding, especially when combined with a long reverb or even a phaser (for that classic Jean Michel Jarre string sound).

The string section features Bass, Cello, Viola, and Violin registers.

Its synth is a simple single-oscillator design with a single envelope generator, a warm sounding ARP low-pass filter, and single LFO. This synth is capable of some quirky and musical sounds and serves as a great complement to the String and Bass engines. It doesn’t boast all that much low-end and its strength really sits in the middle register.

The bass engine is somewhat of a hidden gem as it pulls off a surprisingly convincing electric bass that’s both punchy and warm sounding and mixes well with the built-in synth. Sitting in the mix, this bass provides some serious low-end without being overly in-your-face. Both the 16′ and 8′ octaves can be mixed for an extra chunky octaver-style effect.

To get the cleanest possible tone out of this pristine ARP OMNI, I recorded it using a DIYRE FE2 DI Box with CineMag transformer, high-end Rheingold Music cables, and Antelope Audio converters. The instrument’s self noise has been reduced using subtle AI-assisted spectral de-noising to make sure these sounds will still sound very clean when being heavily processed. To allow for ideal sustain behavior, the string samples are looped within at least 3 full waveform cycles.

  • “Prepared Turntable” is a sound object library recorded by Marc Hasselbalch.

Inspired by the sound artists who work with preparing and altering their instruments through the addition of external objects, this library is as much a useful pool of material for sound designers as it is a document of a sound object and the various nuances of circular, squeaking and screaming textures it produced.

The primary preparation was to have various metal springs run across the vinyl record and record this in various ways, such as with the turntable’s own (broken, humming and hissing) pickup and contact microphones. Small nudges to the position of the springs and objects would result in very different timbres. Some rich in resonant, nuanced textures, some rich in metallic screams and howls.

Other preparations done during recording: letting a credit card scrape freely across the record, attaching a contact microphone to the little comb from a discarded music box and letting that make contact with the record in various way – and more.

Each take is about 60 seconds long to allow for the small, irregular nuances to reveal themselves. Some recordings reveal a great amount of irregular movement while some recordings have the objects settle a very hypnotic state. Presented rather raw without any intrusive, designed alterations.

The recordings are offered in 96 kHz / 24 bit with UCS metadata.

  • Geophonic Instruments is the latest entry in our popular Geophonic line of sound effects libraries.

Geophonic Instruments is perfect for sci-fi, horror and mystery projects, and will also lend itself well to Film, TV and Game productions across a variety of genres.

  • Shamanic Drums is a cinematic instrument built from 360+ sample recordings of hand drums and voices.

Our Audio Craftsmen edited, balanced and programmed 4 round robins and 3 velocity layers for each articulation before integrating them into our Kontakt interface, giving Film Composers and Music Producers an extensive set of unique percussion to use in their tracks. These sounds are perfect for trailer percussion loops, rhythmic tension, electronic music and cinematic scores. We also included performed loops that can add interesting ethnic layers to your music.

To provide some tonal layers, we recorded tribal vocal performances to give extra texture to your tracks. After the implementation, our talented in-house Composers designed 11 extra patches, which include shamanic choirs, melodic tones, different variations of electronic sounds, chords, trailer hits and even trickling, echoey drums.

Our user-friendly Kontakt interface provides a variety of controls that encourage experimentation within the patches. The built in Arpeggiator and Step Sequencer are great for generating hundreds of percussion variations in seconds. We have also added a Chord function in our designed patches where you can choose different scales, key and chord shapes while the Main View provides a set of parameters perfect for sculpting the sounds your way.

Kontakt 5.8.1 or higher is required.
NOTE: This library does not run in the free ‘Kontakt Player’.

  • „Electric Taishogoto“ for Audiomodern’s Soundbox features a virtual instrument based on the traditional japanese instrument “Taishogoto”, also known as the “Nagoya Harp”. The version recorded for this Soundbox instrument is an original electric Sporano Taishogoto made in Japan in the early 1990s.

It offers a unique combination of traditional and experimental sounds for a wide range of musical applications,

The instrument features meticulously sampled recordings of the DI signal with 2-4 velocity layers per patch in the strummed version. There are also two different velocities for key presses (as the taishogoto can be played with pressing the keys only), capturing subtle variations in mechanical clicking on the attack and the overall sound. And you will get some sounds of a bowed taishogoto, too.

The raw recordings were processed using a selection of vintage and boutique gear to give the instrument a distinctive character. Flavors like preamp overdrive or distortion and even a damaged character, with authentic grit and noise are provided in the patches. All processing is done with real hardware units (except the internal fx in soundbox for some of the patches), no FX software or emulations have been used. This processing includes effects such as a broken Tape Delay from the 1980s, various distortion pedals, vintage 90s rack guitar FX units and some lofi pedals, all of which contribute to the unique tonal qualities of the Electric Taishogoto.

IMPORTANT: You will need the free Soundbox Engine to use this product, which can be downloaded here: www.audiomodern.com/soundbox

This is the version for Audiomodern soundbox engine. You can also purchase a version for NI Kontakt here – which has a wider variety of sounds and a deeper sampling architecture like strumming direction per keyswitch and round robins.
