The Australian bush is something very close to my heart. Most of these recordings were taken on my family's property in Molong NSW.
This collection includes a large number of natural bush ambiences recorded at all times of day. There are plenty of birds, some sheep, turkeys, bees, cicadas, crickets, dogs and chickens. As well as motor vehicles on gravel, chainsaws, campfires, generators, footsteps, and even a wall construction. There is as always some random stuff fin there as well.

Northern Italy is 90 minutes/2.9 Gb of ambiance recordings of rural Northern Italy. 22 separate files – recorded in 24bit/96kHz A-B stereo. All sounds are UCS-compatible.
Northern Italy was recorded in July 2019 (pre-Covid), and features ambiance recordings from just outside the small village of Entratico, near Bergamo, Italy. This is hill-country, with meandering gravel-roads, small farms, sheep-bells and lots of crickets. In fact, in this terrain, insects seem to be the only sound sources which are always near. Everything else, from dogs and roosters, to church-bells and airplanes, seems always to be distant. Lots of laid-back rural atmosphere here.
Crickets are quite a dominant feature in these recordings, and there are several variations recorded both day & night. Some are quite loud (the ones with “LOUD” in the file names), so be careful with playback.
Irish Countryside Vol. 1 brings you the textural sounds of Malin Head, the windiest place in Ireland and home to scenes from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
This collection of rural ambiences features recordings of the Malin Head farm, its rugged natural elements and its docile animals. Uncover strong, gusting winds, sheep bleats, a whistling metal fence, the distant roar of the ocean, rain pattering on shed roofs, wind buffeting against a creaking hayloft, the ebb and flow of the tide in the bay, and even a sheep playing with a bucket.
These sounds are ideal for layering emotion, texture and tone into your soundscapes and visual landscapes. Pay homage to Ireland’s sonic beauty in TV, Film, Game and Audio projects with this immersive collection.
All sounds are delivered in 24Bit 48kHz format, and have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.
Australian Lakes: Active Nature is a collection of recordings made around Lake Nuga Nuga, in the remote Central Highlands Region of Queensland. Recorded over several days after having recently rained, the area was alive with active vibrant birdlife and insects. Several recordings were done using dual microphone setups, with stereo and shotgun mics used to capture both a wide stereo atmosphere and a focused mono, close perspective on the birds. These recordings are phase aligned so can be used in LCR if desired, however are provided as a seperate mono and stereo file. Ranging from pre-dawn to evening, all recordings are meticulously mastered with sound designers and FX editors in mind, including extensive UCS metadata and species identified where possible. A separate folder includes several individual bird calls, some removed and mastered from the longer recordings, and some as standalone where a longer atmosphere wasn’t desirable. Identified bird species include:
The Psychedelic Cicadas Bundle contains all three libraries of our unique cicada ambiences. In the heart of the Pacific Northwest, Washington State is full of natural beauty found in many different climate zones all within a day’s drive from Seattle.
‘Geese‘ contains a massive array of wild bird sound effects recorded from various canals, rivers, reservoirs and lakes. We are the first in the world to release a nature library with a specific, extensive collection of Goose sounds, which includes flapping wings, fighting, footsteps, paddling, swimming and jumping into water, eating various types of foods, a wide array of vocalisations including groups(gaggles), pairs, individuals and much, much more.
Our Audio Craftsmen meticulously planned our field recording sessions considering time of day, weather conditions and different locations aiming to capture the full range of behaviour these animals display on a daily basis. We visited a variety of spots and spent time learning the behaviours of Geese, allowing us to capture their reactions as both individuals and groups of varying size. We recorded sounds during a variety of scenarios including eating food, fighting each other, and encountering ducks/other water birds. The huge difference in personalities between these birds allowed us to capture distinct vocalisations made while being fed, acting calm, aggressive or being threatened by rivals to their territory (even making sounds that could be mistaken for a dog, chicken or dinosaur!).
We also recorded sounds from different perspectives which include tunnels (both inside and from a far), a gaggle of Geese approaching from a distance, fighting, flying and swimming by as well as close up sounds of eating, pecking and more.
Moreover, all the sounds provided are dry in 192kHz 24Bit. Allowing for uses varying from nature documentaries through to excellent source sounds for creature and vocal design.
Designing wing sounds for flying creatures can sometimes be a challenge. And when it comes to creature sounds, it’s all about options. A small bird like a wren sounds very different than an adult gray goose. To find the right texture, and distinguish between wide and narrow wings, or to accomplish the task of designing bat or dragon wings, I created this library.
This library contains over 11GB of data consisting of 341 files and 2539 sound effects. Besides the typical fabric wing flaps, I used all sorts of props sorted by materials like rubber, neoprene, plastic, paper, etc. This opens the door to new creative sound design options to make your flying creature sound exactly how you want it to. I added all sorts of buzzing, clicking and rustling sounds especially for the flying insects.

This library features a fine selection of Eurasian Mammals. The animals have been recorded both, in the wild and at animal care centres across Germany.
The most prominent and unique animal sounds in this library are probably squeaky juvenille garden dormice, grunting boar and sniffing hedgehog.
Also impressive recordings from deer rut are included and close up and very clean recordings from various bats, both flight calls and sounds during feeding.
There are plenty of rodents and other animals, check the list at the end of the text or the file list for an even more detailed overview.
Many of the recorded animals called in the ultra frequent range and have been recorded at 192kHz with microphones like the Earthworks QTC50, that go well beyond 90kHz. These noises are perfect for pitching and other sound design, I included some slowed down sounds as examples.
If you want to buy the library as a bundle with my libraries Eurasian Insects and Eurasian Birds, please contact me directly.

Even though the library just contains 9 Macaw vocal sounds. These sounds are very specific but not limited to processing them for fictional creatures.
Recorded in Eastern Oregon’s Great Basin and High Desert Region – classic sounds of the American West, forest or desert.
These tracks are stripped highlights from the hundreds of hours of field recordings I use to make my films. A number of them include the birds fluttering and making deep natural calls right next to the recorder – about as close as you can hope to get of birds in the wild.
Ultrasonic Insects Volume 3 contains dozens of insect songs recorded with a sonic microscope: the Sanken CO-100K. For this library, more than 3 500 kilometers were traveled to get to beautiful french sites in French Alps, Pyrenees Mountains and Massif Central. All insects were recorded in quiet environments with close-miking for unparalleled quality.
An ultrasound detector was also used to find very high-pitched bush-cricket songs. Some of the raw sounds might need a little pitch-shift to be audible to everyone.
Get some new material from nature with the song of dozens of new species of bush-crickets, grasshoppers, crickets and cicadas. Pitch the sounds up to 4 octaves (and even more!) and find inspiration for your next project.

COYOTES 1 – DESCRIPTION:
• In High Desert Ambiences 4: Coyotes, I revisit the place where my field recording journey started: West Texas. On my drive out, a massive wildfire was burning large parts of the Davis Mountains. The day I arrived firefighters were finally able to contain the blaze, but sadly not before 22,000 acres burned. Much of the wildlife is too slow to escape, but luckily one pack of coyotes was fast enough to climb over a ridge. Normally I hear coyotes out in the plains where they love hunting jackrabbits. That night, however, I was recording from the edge of the dead fire. I was stunned to hear howling deep in the valley! The pack had run into the mountains to escape the blaze.
• In this library, hear the angst-ridden vocals of coyotes running to escape a wildfire. Hear the howls and yips of an extremely close pack bouncing from high valley walls. Hear an echo chamber filled with the haunting howls of coyotes who has just had their home burned.
2% FOR THE ENVIRONMENT & CARBON NEUTRAL:
• Two percent of the price of this library is donated to an environmental cause, as an “artist royalty” for the planet!
• Carbon offset credits were purchased to offset my field recording travel for this library.
Cute but Deadly Chihuahua is a Mini-Library consisting of barks, snarls, growls, yelps, whimpers, breaths and chuffs from my late dog Bellatrix. This library contains about 10 minutes worth of her vicious vocals and frustrated whimper yelps. This library really shines when you play with pitch and speed creating cute alien vocals or horrific monster growls. I’ve used these recordings in various feature films such as Piranha 3DD and The Devil Inside. She may be gone but her bark lives on!
The Demonic Pigs audio library features 12 terrifying pig creature squeals, perfect for any horror film or game that is sure to strike fear into your audience.

Audiobeast is proud to present our second sample library; the only library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in urban environments! For this recording session we were given access to a military training site known as a FIBUA (Fighting In Built-Up Area) consisting of streets with a variety of buildings, vehicles, and exclusive permission to fire weapons in several locations. Pictures of the street and gas station locations and firing points are included.
The aim of this library was to offer the slapback type tails needed for gun sound design for convincing city scenes in film, games and tv production. It’s always been difficult to find gun recordings in a city environment so we hope this library helps sound people everywhere.
This Library contains over 3 GBs of weapons being fired in multiple urban environments, a street, outside of a gas station and inside of a tower block. 218 WAV files of single shots, bursts and many with multiple takes, all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.
Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the street 100 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned around corners, a nearby graveyard, through walls and in armored vehicles to capture a variety of perspectives.
Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
If you need a wider selection of interior gun recordings please check out our first library – The London Warehouse Firearms library

Designed to sit cleanly in a mix and shimmer with personality, these spell sounds are ideal for games, trailers, audio dramas and more. Real reactions, recorded with obsessive detail.

These are true-to-life textures, captured in a lab-grade recording setup. The result? Magical sound with depth, realism, and spark..
These are not long, cinematic flourishes. This library is about immediacy — short, dry, punchy magic effects that are easy to slot into your project. Ideal for game asset design, magical feedback sounds, and trailer moments where clarity counts.
Need a healing chime, a cursed hex, or something more ambiguous? The Designed section is grouped into Holy, Cursed, and Neutral categories — giving you emotional options that match your scene’s intent, whether you’re crafting a fantasy RPG or a subtle magical interaction.
Whether you’re layering magic for a fantasy film, adding interactive audio to a mobile game, or creating rich textures for audiobooks or theatre, MAGIC – ALCHEMY fits right in. It’s mix-ready, flexible, and full of sonic character.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
