    Introducing KALIMBA: the first KONTAKT instrument from KEDR Audio!

    Here you will find two models of high-end kalimbas, as well as a bonus:  prepared low-quality rattling kalimba to add some low-fi textures to your music or sound design.

    All were recorded with condenser and contact stereo mics and have separate controls for both microphones levels. Also, the use of five round-robins for each mic allows to achieve variability and human-alike sound.

    All three instruments are built on the same KONTAKT engine with many useful controls: room and contact mic gain, AD envelope, low-pass filter with resonance, chorus, reverb, delay and three-band equalizer.

  • Nature & Countryside Ambiences Desert Winds: Death Valley in Winter Play Track 46 sounds included, 120 mins total $60

    This library, recorded during a trip to the ominous Death Valley USA in February 2021, features sounds of the harsh desert being carved by winter winds, as well as sounds of life such as wetland birds from the oasis at Ash Meadows. If you listen closely to the recordings from the infamous Devil’s Hole, and inhospitable Salt Creek, you can hear the endangered pupfish bark. Many recording styles were used to capture immersive stereo images of the landscape that provides such stark contrasts being both foreboding and breathtaking in its beauty, included are surround and binaural recordings. This is by no means a comprehensive collection, if anything I learned that I have much more to discover about Death Valley than I thought I did starting out.

    I will be donating 10% of my portion of the sales from this library to the Death Valley Conservancy in order to help in the efforts to protect this place which is dear to my heart, and truly one of the most unique places on the planet.
