Sci-Fi Sound Effects

Spectacular sci-fi sound effects, from robot sounds, spacecraft and lasers to other futuristic sounds

  • In this bundle you get all currently available parts of the ANGST | Surrounding Horror Series:

    • Designed Soundscapes
    • Construction Kit
    • Designed Soundscapes (Stereo Downmix)
    • Prologue

ANGST is a collaboration of the sound designers Bony Stoev and Saro Sahihi is the long awaited successor and main chapter of “Surrounding Horror – Prologue”.
It brings you a comprehensive collection of thrilling, abstract horror ambience sound effects in 5.1 surround (SMPTE).

Each soundscape was painstakingly handcrafted to 2:30 minute length with lots of frightening and terrifying sonic events.
It gives your horror-related production just the right amount of heart-stopping texture, leaving your audience with fear crawling up their spines to hold ’em tight.

Also in this bundle is a huge and versatile bundle of construction-kit layers, which can be combined to countless variations and serve as inspiration for your own dreadful sonic nightmares. Some layers were left dry, others were treated with FX. Some are mixed in 5.1 surround others in stereo. To give you both flexibility and instant usability at hand.

Additionally you get all sounds from the Surround Horror Soundscapes library downmixed to stereo.

  • Electric Arcs and Energy is essentially two separate collections of sounds.  The first, Electrical Arcs are more raw.  These arc sounds can be manipulated and mangled to be used as design elements in your project.  They are highly flexible and can easily be pitch-shifted -48 semitones or more.  They remain remarkably useful and clean giving each sound multiple “dimensions”.

The Electrical Energy collection is a series of more specified design elements that I created – Impacts and Powerups.  Meant to be used in Weapon or UI design they should be flexible enough to be used as stand-alone effects or layers in more complex sounds.

    Recording and Editing

This library was designed from scratch by recording highly unconventional metal sources with a cello bow and processing them (see one example in video). Great care was taken during the recording and editing process to ensure maximum flexibility of these sounds.  The recording was done at 24/192kHz using the Sennheiser MKH 2050 mic which captures frequencies up to 50kHz.  All processing and design was then performed at 192kHz.

Bonus – Forge Sound Design Tool Sample Map

If you own the Forge Sound Design Toolkit this library also comes with a specially curated sample map.  The sample map can be loaded into the sampler for randomization and the creation of more complex sounds.

  • Bluezone Corporation presents 'Battlecruiser – Spaceship Sound Effects', a new sound library covering a wide range of designed SFX. This downloadable sample pack is loaded to arm all sound designers with an arsenal of 154 meticulously designed spaceship elements such as: Alarms, command center ambiences, deep exterior and interior ambiences, machine room backgrounds and drone sounds, energy elements, high tech interface sounds, massive reactor rumbles, explosions, spaceship passby and transmission sounds.

  • Sci-Fi Interface Construction Kit Vol. I introduces a wide array of clean-cut futuristic sound effects perfectly designed, edited and fine-tuned for your projects. Containing varied types of sounds, ranging from zaps, bleeps, wubs, small harmonies and more, you’re guaranteed to find on this library something that will bring your User Interfaces to life, be it on videogames, movies, TV shows, Apps and more.

This Construction Kit was built with versatility in mind. Each of the 500 one-shot audio files are finely cut, with no background noise and with clear nomenclature, perfect for layering and adding external effects to mangle them as you please. There are multiple categories to find with varied frequency ranges, achieved by using various hard and soft synthesizers, amongst other experimental methods and tools.

Also included are over 2 hours of electromagnetic recordings from various sources that will boost your retro-futuristic aspirations like a charm!

But wait, there’s more! Over 1 hour of experimental frequency modulation atmospheres are present, ready to lift you off into the science-fiction realm of your dreams.

  • BREAKDOWN ELEMENTS | A bold collection of sound effects for visual effects breakdowns.

Our objective was to create a unique and easy-to-use selection of sound effects that takes an entirely different approach to cliche synthesized sci-fi sound effects.

The majority of elements have originated from organic field recordings that have been elegantly manipulated into a wild new form, achieving a natural, physical vibe for each sound.

The collection is structured into eight categories: BED, BUILD, IMPACT, INTERFERENCE, REWIND, RISER, TRANSITION and WHOOSH. Each element has been designed to work both by itself or layered to produce more complex textures. Additionally, each element has 4-6 variations to maximise versatility.

All sounds are royalty free and equipped with comprehensive Soundminer metadata for rapid access.

  • The Boom, Crackle and Scream library is the first in a planned series of Glitch Factory mini libraries.  This library uses sounds recorded of Fireworks ranging from large booms to small sparklers and mangles them into interesting textures in varying degrees.

The sounds have been manipulated using analog synthesizers, custom Reaktor instruments and other types of granular processing.  They will work well for Sci-Fi weapon layers, user interface sounds and more.

  • Transmission apparatus is a construction kit designed to create a broad range of communication sounds, from real to “alien” broadcasting signals.

The library contains more than 2 GB of data, delivered in 373 files of unique sound material. It’s catalogued in five elements: AM (amplitude modulation), FM (frequency modulation), SSB (single side band – aka ham radio), KYMA (synthesised noises) and VOCAL (unintelligible speeches).

The first three bands were recorded from the output of different radio receivers at 96 kHz via a Crane Song HEDD (Harmonically Enhanced Digital Device) to add warmth and tube/analog sonic color to the recordings. All the samples have been carefully selected from these recording sessions, with the addition of just a little dsp processing to widen the stereo field.

The Kyma folder also contains unique audio files entirely synthesised in the SSC Kyma+Paca(rana) environment. A group of SFX called Vocal is the result of “destroyed” dialogues and vocal sources via spectral processing.

Transmission Apparatus is available in two versions:

96 kHz .WAV version• Audio Format: Broadcast Wave Files (.wav)
    • Bit Depth: 24-bit Size: 2.49 GB
    • Download size is 1.82 GB (compressed .rar archive)

Native Instruments Kontakt 5 version• Audio Format: NI Instruments File (.nki)
    • Sample Rate: 96 kHz
    • Bit Depth: 24-bit Size: 1.66 GB
    • Download size is 1.64 GB (compressed .rar archive)
    • Full version of NI Kontakt 5 required

  • Feedback is a collection of well… feedback sound effects! Created by digitally misrouting various audio signals in numerous ways to create truly wild sound effects:

    • Speaker ringing feedback to thunderous rumbles
    • Grating tinnitus effects to pleasant tones
    • Rhythmic pulses to chaotic digital noise and much more

Feedback combines the binary precision of digital audio with the unpredictable quality of signal feedback to create a treasure trove of ultrasonic rich sound design material. Use Feedback to flavor your next sci-fi project, bring dramatic tension to a scene, simulate head-aching tinnitus, and so much more!

  • Drones & Mood Sound Effects Atmospheric Dread Play Track 19 sounds included, 63 mins total $80

Breathe fear and awe into your work with Atmospheric Dread, carefully designed and ever-evolving drones, intertwined with swelling textures.

Inspired by the sound of films such as Arrival, Blade Runner 2049, Interstellar, Alien: Covenant, Prometheus, and more, I’ve created a new Drone library, all whilst listening to the feedback from Aberrant Drones users, and reviewers.

I’ve not only worked on improving the quality of the soundscapes further, but I’ve also broken down files into more manageable chunks, up to around 6 minutes long, and brutally cut out whatever did not feel like it should go in the library.

As a result, Atmospheric Dread is a smaller library, at least compared to the massive Aberrant Drones, whilst delivering 63 minutes of gut-wrenching, eye-widening, and fear-inducing soundscapes.

The library is comprised of 24bit/96kHz .WAV files, all stuffed to the brim with rich, and descriptive SoundMiner metadata, thus allowing you to find what you need immediately.

If you have any questions about this library, feel free to quickly send me an e-mail. I tend to reply within minutes.

  • Sci-Fi Sound Effects Sci-Fi Atmospheres Play Track 92 sounds included, 92 mins total $18

This library is a collection of 60 Sci-Fi atmospheres, all loop seamlessly, which can be used to represent alien worlds, drones ambiences, spacecrafts, futuristic engines, nuclear facilities, celestial spaces, generators, dark elements and from outer space. Mainly inspired by the Alien saga.

Each file has a duration of one minute with subtle changes over time. Ideal sounds to use as a layer in your sound design or for those project where music and sound design are pretty close.

Files have been designed on the basis of two different TVs buzzing, making a total of 32 buzz files, which have also been included in the collection. Calibrated to -24 LUFS. You can experiment with them to create more sounds, or use them as what they are, a TV buzz.

All files come in 96 kHz/24 bit, with a very descriptive metadata, based on what the sounds represent and which kind of feeling and mood they suggest to the listener.

Soundcloud preview includes all the designed sounds.

  • Glass and Metal Clouds are the result of experimenting with the tonal and noise elements of a glass or metal impact via granular processing. Various household objects were struck and recorded, ranging from metal shovels, desk legs and brass ornaments to glass and crystal objects – basically anything that would ring after it was struck.

The recordings were then sent through ‘Clouds’ and processed with gentle, chaotic modulation by a combination of sloth chaos modules and standard cyclic modulation resulting in drones that gently sweep between musical tonal sounds and the random noise produced by the strike and are ever evolving; some more than others.

Sometimes some surprising sounds came out of the drones and I let them run, some were kept quite constant with only a subtle amount of modulation so there is a lot of variation in the pack.
The sounds came from my need as a sound designer to embed strange mood, emotion and feeling of uncertainty into everyday ambience.

  • Get the sounds of the classic 1970’s era Roland Space Echo RE-201 – captured in high resolution audio.

75 samples are included in this library, featuring a wide range of sounds emitted from a mint condition RE-201. The samples are collected from the space echo self oscillation, as well the triggered delay from various sound sources. Use these samples for the classic Space Echo sound or chop up and manipulate them for new sound creation/design.

  • Environments & Ambiences Planets Play Track 20 sounds included, 40 mins total $49

The Planets SFX library delivers 40 minutes of designed atmospheres from 20 imaginary, extraterrestrial locations. Different perspectives, sometimes close to the ground, sometimes far away. Some locations are buzzing with geological and biological activity others seem distant, cold and lifeless. Creation of Binary Code 2 sound library involved two months of extensive sound synthesis with synthesizers and usage of noise generators in order to create the necessary source sounds, followed afterwards by hours upon hours of mangling, processing, meticulous editing and fine-tuning.

Binary Code 2 sound library contains 1.57GB (1000 sound effects) of high definition 24bit/96khz Stereo WAV files, embedded with metadata to speed up your workflow, and separated into eight categories.

    Categories included:

    1. Neutral • 2. Confirmed (Access Granted) • 3. Denied (Access Denied) • 4. Subtle (Holograms) • 5. Data Processing • 6. Typing • 7. 8-Bit Retro • 8. Glitches

The third installment features 1300 (2.3GB) professionally designed, brand new HUD & UI sound effects separated into 10 different categories and it contains everything from neutral beeps & buttons, confirmed (access granted) and negative (access denied) UI sounds, sophisticated holograms & subtle transitions, various glitches, typing sounds, and much more!

  • Static Space is a collection of 155 UCS-compliant space or Sci-Fi sound effects, focused on continuous, seamless loops. Instead of fly-by’s and accelerations, you get the sounds of space ships going at cruise speeds or idling. If you need motion, just add panning, fades and doppler as you like.

Here are plenty of loops for designing alien environments, including engine rooms, general room tones, strange transmissions and more. Additionally, I have made sure to add plenty of variety; both in terms of moods, frequency content and tonality. Some of these are unmistakably space sound effects, while others are more ambiguous, and could be used for other high tech environments as well.

You will find both low- and high end sweeteners, so when ever you see the words “rumble” or “low end” in a file name; watch that master fader! Furthermore, I went for a strong, almost musical tone, in some sounds, while others are much more noise-based and abrasive.

    Chris C. (Animation Producer)
The JSE Futuristic Interface sound effects package was just what I needed. It’s hard to find original-sounding futuristic effects that match the motion graphics we’ve created, but the JSE package sounds were all interesting, original and refreshing, and contained such a great variety that finding the perfect match was easy. All the filenames make searches easy and intuitive, so I can focus on sound design instead of file management. Great product!

  • Audiobeast is proud to present our second sample library; the only library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in urban environments!  For this recording session we were given access to a military training site known as a FIBUA (Fighting In Built-Up Area) consisting of streets with a variety of buildings, vehicles, and exclusive permission to fire weapons in several locations.  Pictures of the street and gas station locations and firing points are included.

The aim of this library was to offer the slapback type tails needed for gun sound design for convincing city scenes in film, games and tv production.  It’s always been difficult to find gun recordings in a city environment so we hope this library helps sound people everywhere.

This Library contains over 3 GBs of weapons being fired in multiple urban environments, a street, outside of a gas station and inside of a tower block. 218 WAV files of single shots, bursts and many with multiple takes, all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.

Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the street 100 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned around corners, a nearby graveyard, through walls and in armored vehicles to capture a variety of perspectives.

Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.

If you need a wider selection of interior gun recordings please check out our first library – The London Warehouse Firearms library

Magic Sounds from Real Chemical Reactions

No digital fakery here. Every sound in MAGIC – ALCHEMY began as a live experiment — alcohol burning in jars, butane growling through pipes, fuses igniting, water swirling in glass. These are true-to-life textures, captured in a lab-grade recording setup. The result? Magical sound with depth, realism, and spark..

Short, Sharp, and Ready to Use

These are not long, cinematic flourishes. This library is about immediacy — short, dry, punchy magic effects that are easy to slot into your project. Ideal for game asset design, magical feedback sounds, and trailer moments where clarity counts.
