In honor of April Fools’ Day, SkewSound is proud to present “thefool”. This collection of comedic sounds includes party favors, slide whistles, buzzers, and whoopee cushions. We also recorded instrumental effects such as dobro slides, comedy club sax riffs, timpani glissandos, trombone slides, and even more cowbell. Vocal virtuoso, Chris Rando, contributed tons of laughter, mouth effects, and even vomit and fart noises. Who doesn’t love a little potty humor?
Farts are our bodies’ way of punctuating important moments. Everyone knows this and agrees on it. It’s basically accepted scientific fact.
And now, after decades of research and a couple days of intensely private foley work, George brings you 216 separate files of completely original yet hauntingly familiar fart sounds that will add ripe, satisfying definition to your every soundscape.
Employ George’s rich, mouth-made ass-noises to create emphasis, intrigue, a sense of accomplishment, desperation, true love, and more.
With over 20 minutes of quick bursts and ambient loops, we’re fairly confident when we say you really shouldn’t ever need more fart noises than this.

We are the People is a sound effects library filled with protests chants from the 2012 NATO protests in Chicago.
Two locations give this library two aurally unique crowd environments. The downtown protests reflect off the surrounding buildings, giving them a neat urban quality, while the Ravenswood protests give the impression of a more open environment. Groups of protesters in unified chant ranged in size from just a few to perhaps 200 or more. Many of the recordings have wonderful builds, starting with one or two voices and grow from there, in both size and intensity.
These recordings work great as stand alone effects or for layering in some specificity to crowds. The next time your designing a defiant crowd, bring some authenticity with We are the People.

A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!

And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
