From newborns to toddlers, this sound effect library gets you 175 recordings of the cutest babies you will ever find, captured in 24bit/96khz. It features all-original recordings, and gets you sounds such as baby and toddler grunts, burps, whines, coughs, excited screams, giggles, gurgles, laughs, sneezes, babbling, talking, coos, breathing, hiccups, snoring, vocalizations, exclamations and much more. From veteran Hollywood Sound Designer Lenny Jones.
This library features crowds from 4 to 800 people. The highlight surely is very rare to come by recordings from inside a cinema (crowd chatting, leaving, afterparty, cueing, and clapping for the movie at the premiere). But with this library, you get lots of interior and exterior recordings of applause (in churches, at concerts, performances & press conferences.
Also, there is quite a lot of walla. Mostly in German language, there is also lots of indistinct talking that can be placed in any background.
Most of these recordings were performed with a matched pair of Earthworks QTC50 on a stand in ab configuration, so they have a very nice stereo image and no movement during the takes.
Some recordings feature hard to recreate crowd sounds like laughing, or camera clicking (motors) at a press confrerence, clearing throats, children applauding or playing or multiple feet walking. There is also a recording of a theatre / opera rehearsal on stage (no singing).
I had planned a bigger crowds library, but due to Corona, my recordings in music stadiums & at sporting events got canceled. If If I record and release them at a later point, you will get them at a discount when you bought this library. I thought I release it anyway, as many editors can’t record crowd atmos and loop group atm.
Walla Volume 4 features 200 ambience length sound effects that capture the unmistakable background murmur from crowds. Australian Rules Football or AFL is one of the most popular sports in Australia – and the crowds are incredibly enthusiastic. This library of football sports crowds was recorded at a major stadium from various perspectives – from being a part of the mob where you can hear individual voices, all the way to top level where the cheers become a massive roar of thousands of voices.
With over an hour of content, this should have all the moments and perspectives that you need. There’s elated cheers, boos, gasps, chants and everything in between. There’s even some swearing – but don’t worry, that’s in a clearly marked folder and tagged in the metadata so that you can filter those files out if you need it to be family friendly. Plus for when you need to hit the ground running, there’s a 6 minute loop-able ambience punctuated with both highs and lows.
To top it all off there’s some recordings of crowd ambiences around the venue, including hallways, turnstiles and even outside the stadium. Lastly there’s my personal favourite: several recordings of the iconic AFL siren.
This is a great package filled with authentic Australian accents audible in the close up recordings – but in the middle and far perspectives all those voices becomes a massive wash that will blend nicely with other crowd libraries from any other sport and country.

From bustling Athenian markets to the rocky Mediterranean coast, this library is a great snapshot of what Greece sounds like. Essentially it’s two very different libraries in one really useful package!
Athens
This historic city sounds old and it sounds new. Busy markets and crowds fill the streets beneath the Acropolis, while a few blocks away the city is alive with busy traffic and eurocentric motorbikes.
We captured street buskers, back alley murmurs, bustling city squares, markets, heavy traffic, skylines and even a religious sermon!
Crete
Nature dominates here and we got our ankles wet recording all she has to offer. Big surf, coves and gurgling rock pools. Mountain goats, crows, roosters and an early dawn chorus. Insects of the Agia Erini Gorge – more Cicadas than you can shake a stick at!
Whether it’s Game of Thrones or the next Bourne film, this beast will help bring your locations to life!
City Life: Central America is a collection of sounds captured across 3 Central American countries: Mexico, Guatemala and Nicaragua.
This library focus is on city atmosphere, especially in street/cover markets, pedestrian areas, parks, and many more.
The sounds captured in Mexico show a more “modern” Spanish atmosphere, compared to the more “traditional” Maya’s markets of Guatemala, where people speak a mix of Spanish and k’iche'(traditional Mayan language used in some parts of Guatemala)
For the 3 countries we visited a large amount of cities (x10) to capture the exceptional urban soundscapes of Central America.
The record duration are around 6:00 min per take. For the cities, we used a discreet setup: Sennheiser AMBEO and an AB stereo setup with x2 Sennheiser MKH 8040.
Each sound recording are located with GPS coordinates and full soundminer metadata.
The Sennheiser AMBEO is an ambisonic microphone, than can be decode in many differents formats (binaural, 7.1, 5.1, stéréo, mono, etc…) for decode it you can use the Harpex plugin or the free Soundfield/Rodes plugin.
-The Full sound bank (Stereo + Surround/Ambisonic) contains 71 sound takes record in 24/96khZ and decline in 267 files
-The stereo sound bank contains only the stereo files (119 files).

Animal Hyperrealism Vol III is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 1700 individual sounds in 279 files.
The sounds were recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: european red deers, monkeys, reindeers, hornbills camels, crickets, tamarins, boars, frogs, red ruffed lemurs, parrots, and many more.
The content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image.
Part of the cheats section of the library features samples recorded at 384KHz. For these sounds an additional microphone was employed, specifically the CMPA by Avisoft-Bioacoustics which records up to 200 KHz. This microphone was used to record most of the library but the 384KHz format was preserved only where energy was found beyond 96KHz not to occupy unnecessary disk space.
All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these for mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.
The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.
Audiobeast is proud to present our second sample library; the only library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in urban environments! For this recording session we were given access to a military training site known as a FIBUA (Fighting In Built-Up Area) consisting of streets with a variety of buildings, vehicles, and exclusive permission to fire weapons in several locations. Pictures of the street and gas station locations and firing points are included.
The aim of this library was to offer the slapback type tails needed for gun sound design for convincing city scenes in film, games and tv production. It’s always been difficult to find gun recordings in a city environment so we hope this library helps sound people everywhere.
This Library contains over 3 GBs of weapons being fired in multiple urban environments, a street, outside of a gas station and inside of a tower block. 218 WAV files of single shots, bursts and many with multiple takes, all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.
Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the street 100 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned around corners, a nearby graveyard, through walls and in armored vehicles to capture a variety of perspectives.
Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
If you need a wider selection of interior gun recordings please check out our first library – The London Warehouse Firearms library
Florida Thunder by Eric Berzins contains 111 distinct wav files with over 200 dry thunderclaps and over 300 thunderclaps with rain. All files have been meticulously edited and cleaned, and have embedded UCS-compliant Soundminer metadata.
Animal Hyperrealism Vol I is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 1300 individual sounds in 290 files.
The sounds were partly recorded with animals trained for media production, partly recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: african lions, bengal tigers, horses, donkeys, cows, exotic birds, owls, bobcats, pumas, dromedaries, wolves, dogs, geese, lemurs, gibbons and many more.
All the content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image. All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these four mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.
The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
