Ocean Waves – East Coast of Taiwan features powerful Pacific Ocean waves fizz and roar in the east coast of Taiwan. Recorded from Yilan to Hualien, covering 6 different locations, gravel beaches and rocky shore with close and distance perspectives of vivid ocean waves. Hear the unique crackling and ascending hiss as the waves wash over pebbles beaches, and strong punches as the waves hitting the hard rocks.
Bird sounds have been carefully removed, providing you pure useful recordings for your creative works.
This library includes 40 stereo files recorded in AB or XY at 96 kHz. Approx. 156 minutes total.
Additionally, this library was carefully tagged with rich Soundminer metadata, including marks in the recordings highlighting interesting sounds.
All the recordings were recorded, edited and mastered with care and love.
MUSICAL SOUNDS OF NATURE
A collection of cricket and cicada sound effects recorded at night and during the day. The sounds range from musical songs by single crickets in close perspective to cricket ambiences and the buzzy and raspy sound of cicadas during daylight.
CAPTURED ALL OVER THE WORLD
With this library you will get beautiful sounds we recorded in Europe and the jungles of Southeast Asia. Crickets, cicadas and grasshoppers are commonly found in open fields, on trees or in primeval forests with warm temperatures. Use these sound effects to create exotic soundscapes, dry deserts or the acoustic background of a mild summer evening.
CLEAN RECORDINGS
All sound effects have an extremely low noise floor and can easily be used as a construction kit for layering unique sound atmospheres. Perspectives from close to far will help you to design your own sonic environments.
FROM SINGLE INSECTS TO SWARMS
Singing insect sounds are hard to describe; it is a lot easier to listen to the great possible varieties. Our language is poor to define the sounds of crickets or cicadas: buzz, click, rasp, whirr, rattle, trill, chirp. Usually we only use one descriptive verb, mostly onomatopoetic, but these insects produce a great number of different noises.
Bowling is a collection of sounds recorded at a private lane, completely devoid of extraneous human and HVAC sounds. This exclusive access allowed for recording various perspectives, including deep in the guts of the machinery, up-close to the pins, bowler’s perspective, and side perspectives. This library includes all of the mechanical sounds, machinery ambiences, ball “pass-by’s”, ball return, gutter balls, pins resetting, and even some bowling sounds without any machinery noise at all.
'American Public Spaces' is a library that focuses on North-American ambiences of English-speaking public areas. This collection is mainly recorded stealth in the cities of: Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Toronto, Miami, Trenton, Ottawa.
The library is available in stereo, and surround (Quad).

We’re proud to release our first premier race ambience library, as we continue our exciting journey in sound experimentation with spatial audio. The Monaco Grand Prix 2018 is a genuine sonic document of the 76th edition of the Grand Prix Automobile de Monaco, the world’s most glamorous race.
If you’re looking for unique and modern race engine sounds and ambiences to use in your commercial, movie, television or game projects, here you’ll find lot of sounds with different perspectives to start building real and tactile sport soundscapes.
We made use of two favourite Ambisonics microphones: the Sennheiser Ambeo and the classic Soundfield SPS200, recorded across our Sonosax gear (SX-R4+, SX-R4, SX-M32) and their amazing preamps, which digested the high SPLs of the high-performance cars.
But that’s not all: you’ll also find extremely accurate stereo recordings made with a Sanken CSS-5, an A-B Stereo Technique configuration with a couple of omnidirectional DPA 4060 and, last but not least, a custom MS rig based on a Schoeps MK 41 supercardioid capsule (Mid), plus a MK 8 figure-8 capsule (Side), amplified by their respective CMC 6 units.
Looking for radical transformations? We recorded everything @ 96 kHz, so if you want to turn a pass-by into a dramatic spaceship pass, you’ll be free from any sonic artifacts.

The second part of the tournament begins!
This is the second volume of our “Fight Fury” library series, in which you will find at your disposal 445 high-quality sound effects so that you can create the best fighting experience in your video games, movies or audio projects.
In this volume we have focused on sounds that we thought were missing in our first volume, such as various announcer voices, special hits, special bone breaking effects, a high variety of bone and blood sounds, etc. (See full list of sounds in the Metadata PDF).
All of our sound effects have been previously recorded with ultrasonic microphones such as the Sanken CO-100K at 192kHz-96kHz and 24-bit, later edited at 192kHz and finally also distributed at 192kHz – 24-bit, so whether you are a sound designer or just want to drag any of the sounds into your project, you will be guaranteed the highest possible quality.
For this library, you can separately purchase the construction kit called “Veggie Fury”, with which we have created all the bone, gut and blood sounds, so that you too can create your own version of these sounds.

Whistling, fluttering and buffeting wind recorded indoors
Interior wind is a collection of pitched tonal howls, steady breezes and dynamic powerful gusts in stereo and surround. It’s full of whistling, fluttering and buffeting wind recorded indoors. It has more than 3 hours of indoor wind ambiences from houses, apartments, cabins, halls and a car. All files are thoroughly and carefully tagged with metadata and have UCS-compliant file naming.
Characterful wind without man-made sound or birds
It’s a collection of wind from an inside perspective made with years of patience waiting for the right storms to come along while finding different locations with their own character.
Pure singing wind and creaking houses
Mostly recorded at night during the cold winter, the sounds are isolated wind through cracks, crevices, wind shafts and slightly open doors or windows. Some with the structure creaking and moving, others just howling tones. Others are the powerful sound of wind pushing against the wall or roof, adding pressure and buffeting.
Great variety and many locations
One of the locations we went to was in a house placed under a 120 meter (394 feet) tall power line. The power lines would resonate with a very low and ominous howl while the pylon would emit a specific note when the wind came from the right direction. Another recording session was done in a small wooden cabin in rural Denmark with all walls moving, creaking and making cracking sounds. Others were recorded in apartments or more traditional houses in rooms and attics.
Getting control of the wind
I looked at the wind direction and open windows and doors on the other side of the house to stimulate air flow and record through the tiny cracks. This way I got some control and could play with the tones and force of the wind.
Recording techniques
The surround files were recorded with an IRT Cross in surround while the stereo files range from XY to ORTF depending on the source.
Everything was recorded with MKH50 microphones on a Sound Devices 744T.
Close, Medium and Distant recordings
The collection has variation in distance to capture both the creaks and movement in the room while others are recorded in closer proximity to isolate a detailed howl or whistle.
UCS naming and metadata
I gave careful consideration to the file naming and metadata of the collection, keeping filenames short and concise while providing extra information in the metadata to help narrow search criteria.
• Quad IRT Cross and Stereo ORTF
• 96 kHz / 24 Bit
• 42 files with an average length of 4,5 minutes
• More than 3 hours of material
• Detailed metadata and file naming

Well, the name of this sound effects library speaks for itself.
Of course, it’s a tragical but also action packed story of a bunch of heavy, shiny balls who went out to take vengeance upon a group of scraggy, scallywags and their leader Kingpin – for some reason. The plan was as simple as genius: rounding up, pin down and strike hard, that pale, red-scarfed scum in a blind alley. But there was one thing they hadn’t reckoned with: Regardless how brutal and how many times the enemies were struck to the ground, some kind of cursed, evil machinery re-arranged each and every one of them in rank and file.
Long story short…
You get a comprehensive and versatile collection of 10-Pin and 9-Pin (Skittles) Bowling Sound Effects. All recorded at “Bowling Arena“ in Stuttgart, Germany. Of course without any public business. Additionally you’ll get several close up recordings from behind the curtain of the machinery that re-racks the pins. Including seamless mechanical loops, full re-rack cycles from different perspectives and of course lots of bowling ball pass bys, pin hits and some gutterballs.
Each sound was thoroughly edited and cleaned for direct use in any kind of audiovisual project.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.

A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!

We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!

A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!

I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!

A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
