    “The Shoe Collection: Dirt- Knee High Boot“ by Periscope Post & Audio, provides 22 high quality footsteps files in dirt with the knee high boot.  The audio files are recorded at 24bit, 192k with mono and stereo recordings.  The Sennheiser MKH-60 was used for the mono files with a slightly more distant mic placement than the stereo files, which were recorded with the Sennheiser MKH8050 and the Sennheiser MKH-30 near the shoe.  From different walking speeds, to jogging, sprinting, jumping, hard stops, scuffs, and more!  There are several performances with each file to fit the right action you need.  That’s a whopping 268 footsteps between the mono and stereo files!

    This library is a collection of a wide variety of sounds recorded with high quality equipment over the past few years.
    Most of the sounds are field recordings or otherwise raw without any processing such as noise removal, EQ or compression, but still mostly curated and edited so that it’s fast to start using them in your projects.

    To celebrate the end of one era I decided to put together most of my recordings as one library, it’s including recordings with different techniques – from the electromagnetic fields of iPhone and a contact-mic’d sewing machine, to ORTF-stereo atmospheres of greenhouses, and gardens full of crickets recorded in ambisonic, and much more. 45 GB of material should cover your needs for some time :)

    All this sounds were originally recorded with a Zoom H6 (cardiod microphone), and were edited in Logic Pro X, almost no processing was made, it was mainly editing the recorded material but also I used the plugin “Phaseplant” as a sampler.

    Tip 1: Use plate, boots, and armor layers alongside surfaces to give a special flavor to your movements, depending on which equipment your character is wearing.

    Tip 2: Although volumes are matched pretty nicely as it is, playing with volume levels can help you to layer sounds more creatively. For example, if you layer grass, gravel, and armor, you can adjust the volumes for each depending on what you want to create.
