    Ambisonic and Binaural Audio
These sounds have been recorded with a calibrated Sennheiser AMBEO VR Microphone and a Sound Devices Mixpre6II recorder.
The raw A-format files have been encoded to B-Format AmbiX with VVEncode and the personal calibration files for the used AMBEO mic, calibrated by Core-Sound LLC, for the most natural-sounding Ambisonic files possible.
No processing except very little Ambisonic EQ-ing has been done.
The B-format AmbiX files can be easily converted and be used for Dolby Atmos, Object-based or any Surround channel-based format with plug-ins like Harpex-X, or the free Soundfield Plugin.
The Binaural files have been binauralized using Harpex-X with HRTF-set: KU100.

This library is UCS compliant. All files contain extensive metadata which can de read and processed by the most common audio libraries management systems.

  • Nature & Countryside Ambiences Pacific Northwest: Wind Play Track 35+ sounds included, 222 mins total From: $70

    DESCRIPTION:
    • In Pacific Northwest: Wind get an expansive collection of coniferous wind from the pristine wilderness of the Eastern Cascades, Washington. Hear the soothing wind of short needled Douglas fir and Spruce. Hear gentle whisps topping distant ridge tops and blustery 50 mph blasts swinging the forest in a wandering dance. Hear the austere emptiness of recently burned forest and eerie creaks so emotional it sounds like the old trees are talking.
    • This library offers a large collection of coniferous canopy wind. I hope you enjoy the sounds of this winter wonderland.

2% FOR THE ENVIRONMENT & CARBON NEUTRAL:
    • Two percent of the price of this library is donated to an environmental cause, as an “artist royalty” for the planet!
    • Carbon offset credits were purchased to offset my field recording travel for this library.

    KEY FEATURES:
    • Zero birds, insects, or other wildlife in all recordings

    • Winds ranging from gentle gusts too blustery 50 mph blasts
    • Coniferous canopy wind in living forests of Douglas fir and Spruce.
    • Short-needle coniferous wind. The length of the foliage determines the pitch of the wind. Therefore, the short needles of Douglas fir creates wind with a higher pitch than Ponderosa pine with its much longer needles.
    • Post wildfire wind. After the fire, only the tree trunks remain, creating deep eerie roars.
    • Soothing gusts cresting distant ridgetops.

  • On my travels around the UK, I always bring my sound recording gear.

This collection of sounds focuses on nature, recordings of animals and atmos’ from down in Dartmoor, all the way up to Scotland.

  • This library was compiled over the course of 5 years with 3 different recorders (Sony D50, Zoom H6 and Roland R07). The Roland was used in stealthy situations because of its size.

This collection of tracks depict the sound of traffic, both near and far, with the (seemingly) constant hum of the Los Angeles helicopter. There are plenty of those in these recordings, as well as a good variety of locations and situations. I believe this library represents the actual sound of Los Angeles in a general sense.

All tracks have been mastered in Pro Tools, with light compression to even out the bumps, and use EQ here and there to hide the rumble and calm the hiss. All bumps and unwanted noise has been edited out for the best result.

I hope you appreciate this collection, as I’ve used all the tracks myself. In most cases, these sounds have been bolstered and mastered for a fuller, more interesting sound.

All tracks have full metadata implemented for a clear and concise explanation of each track.

  • Water & Ocean Sounds ASSORTED WATER Play Track 82 sounds included $70

ASSORTED WATER | A collection of graceful, pure water sound recordings.

Each sound has been meticulously studied to ensure it is free of any blemishes or unnecessary background intrusions, such as wildlife, to make sure that the recordings can be used for any scene or environment with ease, maximising efficiency and usability. Hear the results for yourself by taking a listen to the audio demo.

This collection focuses on water flowing and falling, with categories such as water through a variety of drainpipes, hose nozzles, taps, storm drains and more. There is also a broad selection of smooth streams, raucous rivers, waterfalls and weirs. Also included is an array of valuable rain recordings hitting mud, leaves, vehicles, umbrellas, plastic and other surfaces. Take a look at our data sheet for the complete list.

All sounds are royalty free and equipped with comprehensive Soundminer metadata for rapid access.

  • Surround Sound LAB is proud to present our third ambisonic library decoded and mixed in Dolby ATMOS.

We recorded the Cantabria Country in Spainan area belonging to Green Spain, the name given to the strip of land between the Bay of Biscay and the Cantabrian Mountains, so called because of its particularly lush vegetation, due to the wet and moderate oceanic climate. The climate is strongly influenced by Atlantic Ocean winds trapped by the mountains.

Recorded in ambisonic format, 48Khz and 24 bits HD. As always, top quality recordings specially designed for film audio projects.

Once again, we have mastered all the files in Ad Hoc Studios Madrid (link), Post Production sound studios certified by Avid and Dolby ATMOS, one of the best post-production facilities in Spain.

AmbiX First Order Ambisonic, Dolby ATMOS 7.12, 5.1 and ST files have been mastered with Pro Tools HD 2018 system are included in the package.

  • This library features nature sounds and ambiences, recorded in two high-altitude alpine forests in Central Europe. Experience serene and remote landscapes characterized by the gentle rustling and rushing of wind through the trees. Occasional creaks of branches and a variety of bird species chirp and call out. The sound of Alpine Forest evokes a sense of harmony with nature.

All recordings are clear and entirely devoid of external noise and human disruptions. This is why this library is particularly valuable for productions set in the past, such as medieval and ancient times as well as for historical and nature documentaries.

All these nature ambiences are recorded using two microphone setups: a Double MS Stereo setup and a spaced omnis setup, the latter also providing extended frequency response. This results in three variations for each recording: Stereo, Wide AB Stereo, and 5-channel 5.0 surround. The variances between these options range from subtle to more pronounced, offering flexibility for crosscutting within scenes.

Get 4 hours of unique, royalty-free and notably high quality recordings with this library. Recorded in 24 bit / 96 kHz. Accurately edited and mastered to sound as natural as possible. With an average duration ranging from 3 to 15 minutes per file, there’s ample time to integrate them seamlessly into longer scenes without the need for looping. For more detailed descriptions of the ambiences within this collection, please refer to the metadata provided in our file lists or listen to the preview montage.

This library is UCS compliant (universalcategorysystem.com). In this new category system, all files contain extensive metadata like file description, Category & Subcategory. Metadata can be read and processed by the most common audio libraries management tools.

  • City Life Sound Effects FLD01_Berlin Vignettes Play Track 18 sounds included, 121 mins total $4

When traveling to Berlin to take some much needed time off, I immediately know that I wanted to capture some of the ambiences of the city; Not just to create a library from them, but also to let me dwell on the trip for a little longer by immersing myself in these recordings once back home. From the balcony of an AirBnb in Berlin-Wedding, I captured several long-form ambiences (ranging from 5 to 30+ minutes) during different times of day. The location of the apartment allowed me to capture the sounds of the city in a very cohesive and uninterrupted way without having people walking or driving directly in front of the recorder.

You’ll hear gentle traffic sounds, the S-Bahn 41 and 42 arriving and departing regularly in the distance, occasional ambulance pass-bys, church bells, birds, and, in some cases, even the thumping bass from a nearby wedding venue.

Also included are recordings captured at train and subway stations, animal vocalizations captured at the two zoos, and some very calming suburban ambience.

  • Bird Sound Effects Suburban Wilderness I – SUMMER Play Track 27 sounds included, 289 mins total $36.75

Birds calling, the echoing chatter of the neighborhood, gardening sounds, crickets chirping, dogs barking, roosters crowing, jets passing overhead, and the profound silence in the depths of the night; the awakening of nature and residents in the early morning hours, and much more.

‘Suburban Wilderness I’ is the first library in my series of long-term recordings from a German allotment environment. This remote area, surrounded by forest, features cottages, ponds, and an abundance of natural sounds. The library captures a blend of suburban, residential, and forest ambiences.

‘Suburban Wilderness I’ includes 27 unique ambiences recorded in Germany during the summer of August 2021, from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. From these 11 hours of recordings, I have carefully edited and curated the best moments, creating a 5 GB auditory journey through the evening, night, and morning hours in this residential forest setting.

To capture the profound silence of the night, I used a matched pair of Rode NT1-A microphones with exceptionally low noise, paired with a Tascam HD-P1 recorder.

The total duration of the library is approximately 5 hours, with most ambiences ranging between 5 and 15 minutes in length. Some are longer, while a few are shorter.

‘Suburban Wilderness I’ was recorded in AB stereophony at 48 kHz, 24-bit.
