We recorded the Cantabria Country in Spainan area belonging to Green Spain, the name given to the strip of land between the Bay of Biscay and the Cantabrian Mountains, so called because of its particularly lush vegetation, due to the wet and moderate oceanic climate. The climate is strongly influenced by Atlantic Ocean winds trapped by the mountains.
Recorded in ambisonic format, 48Khz and 24 bits HD. As always, top quality recordings specially designed for film audio projects.
Once again, we have mastered all the files in Ad Hoc Studios Madrid (link), Post Production sound studios certified by Avid and Dolby ATMOS, one of the best post-production facilities in Spain.
AmbiX First Order Ambisonic, Dolby ATMOS 7.12, 5.1 and ST files have been mastered with Pro Tools HD 2018 system are included in the package.

Behind The Sounds:
The AMB01 Okefenokee Swamp library contains 39 ambient swamp soundscapes filled with songbirds, owls, crickets, wind, jumping fish, frogs, and more.
By renting a canoe and paddling over 30 miles into the swamp, I was able to capture and experience the heart of the swamp with no distractions for four days.

File List, Spectrograms & Metadata
This library features nature sounds and ambiences, recorded in two high-altitude alpine forests in Central Europe. Experience serene and remote landscapes characterized by the gentle rustling and rushing of wind through the trees. Occasional creaks of branches and a variety of bird species chirp and call out. The sound of Alpine Forest evokes a sense of harmony with nature.
All recordings are clear and entirely devoid of external noise and human disruptions. This is why this library is particularly valuable for productions set in the past, such as medieval and ancient times as well as for historical and nature documentaries.
All these nature ambiences are recorded using two microphone setups: a Double MS Stereo setup and a spaced omnis setup, the latter also providing extended frequency response. This results in three variations for each recording: Stereo, Wide AB Stereo, and 5-channel 5.0 surround. The variances between these options range from subtle to more pronounced, offering flexibility for crosscutting within scenes.
Get 4 hours of unique, royalty-free and notably high quality recordings with this library. Recorded in 24 bit / 96 kHz. Accurately edited and mastered to sound as natural as possible. With an average duration ranging from 3 to 15 minutes per file, there’s ample time to integrate them seamlessly into longer scenes without the need for looping. For more detailed descriptions of the ambiences within this collection, please refer to the metadata provided in our file lists or listen to the preview montage.
This library is UCS compliant (universalcategorysystem.com). In this new category system, all files contain extensive metadata like file description, Category & Subcategory. Metadata can be read and processed by the most common audio libraries management tools.
WHISPERS OF THE SCANDINAVIAN WILDERNESS
Discover the wild forests of Norway and immerse yourself in the sound of remote nature. This library contains quad surround recordings of various forests, wind through different types of trees, flowing water and individual animal sounds.
Scandinavian forests are known for being less densely populated by animals and for the harsh and changeable weather. The soundscapes are often characterized by a lot of wind, rivers and occasional bird calls. The collection captures this iconic sound of Norwegian nature: from the power of stormy winds and rushing waterfalls to calm and peaceful forest ambiences.
IMMERSIVE NATURE SOUNDSCAPES
Forests of Norway was carefully recorded with a double ORTF quad setup of MKH8040s into a MixPre-6 II, giving you pure immersion. In addition you get isolated animal sounds, mainly birds, captured in mono with a parabolic microphone. To ensure that the mono sounds blend seamlessly into the ambiences, we also recorded impulse responses from various forests. This allows you to embed any sound into the atmo, letting you create immersive and organic atmospheres according to your specific needs.
If you’re looking for a flexible atmo construction kit, this library is just right for you. It perfectly captures the sonic environment of Norwegian forests and gives you the tools to create authentic, vibrant soundscapes.

Nature and Urban Field Recordings From the Caribbean
Immerse your audience in the rich and beautiful sounds of the coastal area of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.
Audio Explorer: Dominican Republic Sound Library brings you well over 2 hours of vibrant, detailed and deeply authentic sound recordings from various locations around the Dominican Republic, including lively and bustling city streets, the charming Independence Park and Umbrella Street areas, as well as various coastal and inland ambiences complete with wildlife, wind and vegetation.
Going a little deeper into the content of this library, there are two different sound location approaches to cover all situations where the island’s life might need to be portrayed. On the one hand you get lively – or quieter – city and resort recordings, and on the other hand included are beach, inland and vegetation recordings at varying distances from water, groves, and dunes.
In the more urban recordings, you’ll hear the sounds of everyday life, from the hustle and bustle of busy streets to the tranquil sounds of quiet alleys. You’ll hear the chatter of local life and in some recordings the sound of cars and motorbikes navigating the streets. In addition, the resort recordings offer a glimpse into the more peaceful side of Puerto Plata, with sounds of waves crashing on the beach, birds chirping, and the rustling of palm trees in the breeze.
When traveling to Berlin to take some much needed time off, I immediately know that I wanted to capture some of the ambiences of the city; Not just to create a library from them, but also to let me dwell on the trip for a little longer by immersing myself in these recordings once back home. From the balcony of an AirBnb in Berlin-Wedding, I captured several long-form ambiences (ranging from 5 to 30+ minutes) during different times of day. The location of the apartment allowed me to capture the sounds of the city in a very cohesive and uninterrupted way without having people walking or driving directly in front of the recorder.
You’ll hear gentle traffic sounds, the S-Bahn 41 and 42 arriving and departing regularly in the distance, occasional ambulance pass-bys, church bells, birds, and, in some cases, even the thumping bass from a nearby wedding venue.
Also included are recordings captured at train and subway stations, animal vocalizations captured at the two zoos, and some very calming suburban ambience.
Ambience of rural America. The beautiful sounds of nature in the forests.
Filled with sounds of insects, birds, and movement of outdoors.
Recorded in 192Khz 32bit float and exported in both 192/32 and 96/24

Birds calling, the echoing chatter of the neighborhood, gardening sounds, crickets chirping, dogs barking, roosters crowing, jets passing overhead, and the profound silence in the depths of the night; the awakening of nature and residents in the early morning hours, and much more.
‘Residential Forest I’ is the first library in my series of long-term recordings from a German allotment environment. This remote area, surrounded by forest, features cottages, ponds, and an abundance of natural sounds. The library captures a blend of suburban, residential, and forest ambiences.
‘Residential Forest I’ includes 27 unique ambiences recorded in Germany during the summer of August 2021, from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. From these 11 hours of recordings, I have carefully edited and curated the best moments, creating a 5 GB auditory journey through the evening, night, and morning hours in this residential forest setting.
To capture the profound silence of the night, I used a matched pair of Rode NT1-A microphones with exceptionally low noise, paired with a Tascam HD-P1 recorder.
The total duration of the library is approximately 5 hours, with most ambiences ranging between 5 and 15 minutes in length. Some are longer, while a few are shorter.
‘Residential Forest I’ was recorded in AB stereophony at 48 kHz, 24-bit.
Ambiences from Corfu, Greece is a collection of 26 ambiences recorded in summer on one of the greenest islands in the Ionian Sea.

Sea & Surf is nearly 6 hours / 11 GB of wave sound effects – some over 15 minutes long.
49 separate files – recorded in 24bit/96kHz. All sounds are UCS-compatible.
Sea & Surf represents a decade of collecting wave sound effects on Danish shores. With over 7000 km of coastline to record, there is a bit of everything here. From the shallow waters of Aarhus Bay, to the roaring North Sea at Hanstholm on the shoulder of Jutland, I recorded waves crashing, splashing, lapping and even clucking.
I visited marinas, jetties, breakwaters, piers, a lake, and even the inside of a WW2-era concrete bunker. Here are close-ups from the waterline, from between the boulders of a breakwater and waves clucking quietly on the rocky coast of Bornholm.
At the North Sea, I recorded in several positions, from right in the waterline, to behind large sand dunes. I made sure to set up my microphones at several elevations, to capture the variation in sound this affords. These are not squeaky-clean recordings, as some of the quieter ones do contain the odd bird sound here and there. You will also hear grasses and other vegetation rustled by the wind, but that all adds to the realism, of course!
Recording waves is a bit like recording wind, by the way, in that it is basically white noise and can quickly be reduced to sounding like it – if you stand in the wrong place. This is probably the “soothing” quality, many people hear in wave sounds. However, there is a lot more to water waves than relaxation sounds, and so I’ve always attempted to capture the drama and the variation, along with the more obvious wave sounds.
Recordings were made in A-B stereo as well as X/Y, with the M/S sources included in the download. This gives you more flexibility to widen or narrow the sounds in post-production. Microphones used were both Sennheiser MKH series and Primo EM172 omni electret capsules.
Some recordings are focused on the distant perspective, while others zoom in on each wave impacting a surface, which is where M/S lets you choose how sharply you want to frame the sound.
Geothermal Fields is a high quality royalty-free sound library recorded in Iceland during different parts of the year to include the most diverse range of soundscape variations. It includes ambient sounds as well as underwater and underground recordings.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
