River Flows: Over & Under library brings running river sounds, captured over and under the surface. It features 80 HQ audio files, ranging from cascading waterfalls to running rivers and babbling brooks and creeks. The total duration of the collection is 4 hours with the majority of the recordings captured during wintertime, which makes them uniquely free from any bird and insect audio backdrop.
Overall, the collection caters to projects that require environmental sounds of flowing, emerging/submerging bodies of water as well as underwater ambiences.
COMPLIMENTARY SOUNDS INCLUDED
And what a bonus! We included 20 designed sounds of otherworldly, evolving aquatic ambiences, designed using our source recordings of River Flows library. We passed them through Pitch Shifters, Filtering, Eqs and Sculpting effects like Reformer by Krotos, Granular Synthesis Plugin by The Mangle, and the 3D Audio Software, Sound Particles.
This library comes along with 15 Soundminer Metadata fields, such as description, keywords, category/sub-category, microphone specifications, and more.
River Estuary is a series of recordings centred around the River Deben estuary in Suffolk, an area famous for its natural beauty and wildlife. It is a treasure trove of sounds that capture the ambience of this serene environment, with a focus on the wading bird calls that give the estuary its unique sonic character.
The library was mostly recorded on a boat stationed in Woodbridge in the late winter of 2018 with private access to the boatyard, allowing me to record safely over night. I continued the recordings up until late summer, making trips to other areas along the Deben in between. I was also granted permission to record on the privately owned Sutton Hoo side of the Deben, another of Suffolk’s areas of outstanding historical significance and beauty, equally full of life but further away from the rumbling traffic and human life coming from the town.
It includes the sounds of curlews, oystercatchers, redshanks, geese, swans, ducks and various other wading bird calls, as well as general ambience recordings of the area at high tide and low tide and all hours of the day. The night calls that echo over the expanse of the river at low tide are particularly evocative.
The library was recorded entirely in 24bit/96k with a double Mid/Side rig consisting of Sennheiser MKH60/30 and 8040 mics, encoded to 5.1 Wav. A stereo option is also available at a lower price. As a bonus there is a collection of bird call spot FX taken from the recordings with noise reduction applied, for those who may need to add individual wading bird calls to their ambience.

The harvester Claas Lexion 530 Library contains all the sounds a decent harvester produces on the field in one day. We were allowed to accompany this gigantic 300+ horsepower machine on the field and document all its activities. It roars and sounds harsh and dangerous.
Whether you are looking for realistic farm sounds or want to design a futuristic vehicle. The harvester files are ready to use or very easy to manipulate as they deliver sounds across all frequencies captured with high end equipment. Both helium-3 harvesting spaceships and apocalypse scrap transporters can be produced in just a few steps.
In addition to the standard exterior recordings such as bypass, away and up, the library also includes on-board recordings from the cab, from the platform, as well as various mic positions such as directly above and beside the cutting knives, on the belt, at the unloading pipe and many more. In addition, there are selected foley sounds, as well as a few distant atmo sounds.
70% of the revenue will benefit the non-profit association “Bulldogs for Kids e.V.” and by this benefit chronical ill children.
• In Pacific Northwest: Quiet Nature, get a peaceful collection of ambiences from the Hoh Rainforest, a temperate rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula in Olympic National Park. Hear the massive sparseness of one of the last pristine quiet places in the Continental US. Hear the natural cathedrals of sound created by Douglas fir and spruce. Hear wind gusts pluck autumn maple leaves and waft them to rest on forest floors. Hear massive halls of wet wood that envelop and transport you to a long-lost time when giant trees covered millions of acres of the Pacific Northwest.
• This library offers you a large collection of quiet nature sounds from one of the wettest forests in North America. Some places on the Olympic Peninsula get over 200 inches of precipitation per year, and that abundance of moisture makes for a magical fern and moss filled ecosystem brimming with soothing ambiences.

Wilderness Americas : Central American Jungle is a collection of sounds captured in the different Tropical Forests of central America across many countries. For this first chapter, we will focus on : North Colombia and Costa Rica.
This library focus on the wildlife and wilderness sounds of the different type of forest encountered across these countries : rainforest, cloud forest, montane tropical forest, Tropical Dry Broadleaf Forest, primal forest, bamboo forest, etc.
As you can see there is not just one type of jungle or forest, but rather a multitude of very different ecosystems that we have tried to record.
In this places, the ecological variety is quite stunning and preserved. Maybe because there is few people and maybe because of the weather conditions who are very rude for human (and audio equipment : extrem humidity, rain and heat don’t works great with microphones and recorders.)
We have selected audio gear for this purpose : tropicalized microphones : sennheiser MKH 8020 and MKH 8040-30 series in a surround configuration + world known recorder : Sound devices Mixpre10T. We have taken also a humidity proof microphone basket (Cinela)
This weather proof setup permit us to record even under tropical rains. (We have also a special mic cover which reduce the sound of rain drop on the microphone basket)
We have always focus on places, where they protect and respect the wilderness.
-> We went record in this different places : In north Colombia, around Minca inside the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, where you evolve inside a Montane Tropical Forest at 3000 m altitude, but also in a lonely valley near the Cocora valley region. In Costa Rica, we met the primal tropical forest, in the Osa Peninsula and the Corcovado National Park : The ecological variety of this place is quite stunning. National Geographic has called it “the most biologically intense place on Earth in terms of biodiversity”. We also went to the Monteverde region to meet the cloud forest, who is a hight altitude tropical forest, where the cloud meet the tropical forest. We also explored the biological reserve “Lomas Barbudal” which is a “Tropical Dry Broadleaf Forest” and finish our journey near the Arenal volcano.
To sum up:
In Colombia we were around Minca, in the montane tropical forest, we spend more than two weeks, recording birds and animals inside the forest.
In Colombia we were in a parallel lonely valley of the famous Cocora Valley, also in the montane tropical forest.
In Costa Rica we were inside the Corcovado National Park, we spend here one week, exploring this protected area, nights and days inside the primal rainforest.
In Costa Rica we were in the cloud forest inside the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve.
In Costa Rica We were inside the “Biological Reserve Lomas Barbudal“, inside the dry broadleaf tropical forest, looking for spider and howler monkeys.
In Costa Rica we were freely explore the Arenal region.
We have used “sound trap” technics for long and immersive recording :
we have hide microphones and protect recorder in a waterproof bag and let it for days and night in the middle of the tropical forests (usualy 24 hours non stop recording).
This system allow us to record the sunrise, dawn chorus, and sunset, time where the animals are more active.
Here is some animals we have recorded :
Exotics Birds and more especially : parrots, parakeet, macaw, toucan, woodpecker, Oropendola, cacique, humming-bird, etc.
Insects and more especially : cricket, cicada, bumblebee, etc.
Mammal : spider monkeys, howler monkey, brown monkeys, etc.
Amphibien : frogs, toads
We have record using a surround setup (Sennheiser DMS (Double M/S)) using 3 mic capsules
The DMS signal can be decode in many different format (5.0, stereo (XY/ORTF/AB), mono, binaural). for decode it you can simply use your DAW or for more convenient the Harpex plugin or the free Shoeps DMS plugin.
With the DMS you can adjust the stereo spread/imaging, or even make rotation in the surround pan field.
In some few cases, with have record with a parabola dish + Sennheiser MKH 8020. (animals)
Each sound recording are located with GPS coordinate and a full soundminer metadata.
–The Full sound bank (Stereo + Surround) contains 114 sound takes record in 24/96khZ (Total length : 661 minutes) and decline in 330 files

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
