Sound Effects

  • Roomtones & Ext. Ambiences Home Exterior Play Track 60+ sounds included, 180 mins total $50

Home Exterior by Badlands is a unique ambiance sound library recorded inside homes with all the windows open. You will hear over 60 files with the sounds outside the home as well as room tone – This is perfect for interior scenes and a great source of material for adding a new layer while adding a low pass filter for creating sounds outside of the home if the windows are closed. This library was recorded by professional equipment with a pair of Sennheiser MKH 8040’s in ORTF and a Sound Devices 702t field recorder. This library is very well-edited with all files three minutes long and is seamlessly loopable. With descriptive and detailed file names, and metadata makes these sounds a breeze to find while working on your projects.

  • I will keep adding to this, these are the winds I always wish I had. No “huge gale force crap” here. These are all gentle lonely winds, with and without organic material.

I don’t know how else to say this is a great collection of soft deep winds. Perfect for quiet details with lots of emotion.

  • The Rare Animals library from Pro Sound Effects is a collection of unique animal sounds from field recordings around the world. They have been meticulously edited and mastered for cross-industry sound design usage from games to mobile/interactive and traditional film/broadcast.

The Rare Animals sound effects library was built from one principal aim: To find, nurture and release rare animal sound effects into the wild. Pro Sound Effects sourced the nature catalogs and archives from its existing global partners for the rarest field recordings, the most unusual of which were hand-selected by Brooklyn Sound Society‘s Neil Benezra to remaster and restore. This collection of animal effects was edited and optimized for game and interactive industries in mind, so most are shorter, trigger-able sounds. The library also contains a collection of ambiences—longer, environmental sound effects that can be further edited, or used as backgrounds.

    Key Features:

    • Over 1,000 unique recordings
    • Optimum restoration, noise reduction (using the Cedar plug-in), equalization and mastering by Brooklyn Sound Society
    • Detailed metadata, including species categories, descriptions, plus the time and place of each effect’s recording
    • Hand-picked rarities, from high-caliber archives and historical catalogs

  • Beef up your sound design with the ferocity of Gators – from beastly bellows and monstrous growls to aggressive hisses and vicious jaw snaps. This one-of-a-kind, exclusive speciality library delivers stunning alligator sound effects ready to add power and intensity your audio projects.

And “one-of-a-kind” is no exaggeration. There’s a reason you will not find a similar collection dedicated to alligator or crocodile sound effects anywhere else. These sounds can not only be dangerous to record, but they are extremely difficult to capture as alligators are typically very stealthy, quiet creatures… except during mating season.

Luckily, recordist Colin Hart embarked on several excursions to the swamps of Florida to develop a method for cueing the monstrous sounds from these cold-blooded beasts – so you don’t have to. After seven years (plus a mangled blimp, destroyed boom pole, JBL baby stroller, and a couple testing subwoofers from Boeing), these incredible alligator recordings are now available for your own projects.

In addition to bellowing mating calls, warning hisses, terrifying snarls and more alligator sounds, the Gators library also provides partially submerged hydrophone recordings as well as marsh and bird ambiences.

Add this rare secret weapon to your sound design toolset and give life to creatures, monsters, dragons, dinosaurs, crocodiles, and other beasts. The organic immensity of these sounds also make perfect layers for explosions, thunder, fire, engines and more.

    Key Features:

    • 75 sound effects (520MB)
    • 24-bit/192k and 24-bit/96kHz broadcast .wav files
    • Descriptive embedded metadata

  • Recorded by renowned innovators of film sound design Ann Kroeber and Alan Splet, the Stallion library features an incredible variety of charismatic horse sound effects including movements and vocalizations.

Intensify your projects with rumbling racing gallops, thumping canters, steady trots, and heavy rhythmic breathing. Bring creatures to life with the emotive whinny and neigh sounds of mustang stallions plus strong snorts, charming grunts, light nickers, and guttural exhales.

Many of these horse sounds were recorded for major feature films including The Black Stallion, The Horse Whisperer, and Hidalgo. Splet’s work on The Black Stallion won him a Special Achievement Academy Award® for Sound Editing. This recognition was largely due to the quality and depth of the source recordings he and Kroeber created.

Using a unique custom microphone rig (one mic fastened under the belly, another placed in front of the nose), the galloping sound effects in this library achieve an extraordinary dramatic quality with the horse’s powerful footsteps captured in harmony with its breathing.

Get an array of horse footsteps at your fingertips – moving at every gait and on various surfaces from gravelly dirt to shallow water, grass, sand, cobblestone and more.
