Looking for sounds that make you want to grab a warm blanket and stay inside? This collection has thunder and rain recordings collected during window-shaking storms from 2012 to 2015.
Most sounds are recorded in Helsinki, where summers contain a few weeks of hot weather accompanied by dramatic thunderstorms.
It also features a hot, violent storm captured in France that lasted several hours.
With recordings that last from 13 seconds to over a half hour, you're sure to get all the drizzling and cracking thunderclaps you're looking for!
Need some sounds of water on rocks? This bite sized library could be just what you need. Close stereo recordings of waves a crashing against both rocks and beaches.
Need jackhammer sounds? This library delivers a broad selection, from wall drilling at various intensities, recordings from behind the wall, reverberant jackhammer sounds – and even otherworldly drilling recordings from an underground carpark.
This collection started as a mic test and turned into a library. What is unique about the collection is that the phone was taken apart so you get each individual element as clean as possible. It was recorded with shotgun mics, a TLM 103 to see how it sounded with something other than dialogue, and a Cold Gold contact mic at 96 khz, which was the biggest surprise as it sounds like a high definition retro mic when placed on the back of the phone's rotary dial. Skip the antique hunt and listen to these vintage sounds.
This library was recorded in southern France and Komagane, Japan for a diverse collection of cricket, grasshopper and frog sounds. With a Fostex FR2, Sennheiser 418S and Olympus LS11, these focused sounds were captured without the rumbling of nearby traffic or wind. They are clean enough to be dropped right into your project, and they are long enough to offer loop points for interactive use.
This library features the sizzle of burning water with sounds that were recorded to capture the feeling of heat and the dynamics of heat exchange. These easily recognizable sounds can be used for literal frying or as sweeteners for magic sounds or anything else whi needs to feel hot. Files last from eight seconds to two and a half minutes allowing flexible use for foley, ambiences, layers, or wherever your imagination leads you.
'Fans Light Machines' is a collection of different mechanical fan and electrical sounds recorded over the last 10 years. Presented in this library are interesting machine hums and buzzes from air conditioners, vents, vending machines, heating fans, light strips, washing machines, steam engines, and more. It also includes the creator's favorite – the ping of a light turning on that was recorded in the bathroom of Bugbear Studios in 2009. To flesh out your industrial buildings with distinct and detailed sounds of lighting and appliances, this is the one you want.

A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!

Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
