Quietsub FX Transportation
An extensive collection of 1,321 Transportation sounds. If it has means of movement to carry people or goods, whether by engine or human propulsion, you’ll likely find it here.
This collection comes in two parts. The transportation portion, and Transit Chimes.
Transit Chimes: Transit Chimes are the sounds you hear all the time on public transportation. Dings, dongs, attention getters. This collection of 70 sound effects gives everything you need to satisfy your craving for these noises. Use them in your productions, or start your own transit system.
Transportation: People are always going somewhere. And they sure make lots of noise doing it. Just about anything that moves people or freight can be found here.
Recording for this category is outside the studio affair. A tremendous amount of time driving and walking around, as well as planting yourself in strategic locations where vehicles do their thing.
This extensive collection touches all the bases.
Files are 24-96000 BWF with metadata.
Quietsub FX Construction
A large collection of 1,097 Construction sound effects. This contains the sounds made fixing around the home and noises made by professionals, as loud as they may be.
It seems people are always building something. They also make a lot of noise doing it. From home building, workshops, public works projects, home renovation and plumbing, even Blacksmiths! This collection covers all the bases.
Production of this collection was challenging. Although recording stationary sounds like hammers and saws is relatively simple, they still have to be located and gain permission to record items. Also, large construction equipment has be recorded on-site. Getting close enough can be difficult. Being polite and respectable to workers always helps. It can be dusty, dirty, and you deal with conflicting background sounds such as road traffic.
Sounds in this collection:
Everything you need for your next construction project!

A rough, tractor-like rumble of the engine with pronounced low-note vibrations, while on the outside you hear the mealy, rolling sound of a reliable vehicle, especially from a standing start. This is the successor of the legendary UAZ-469, and the engine finds itself sonically as one that aims for the eternal compromise between military reliability and civilian comfort. The sound is rough, with an iron accent, as if the modern system is assembled from the hardy parts of yore.
To capture the sounds of the UAZ Patriot, a carefully selected set of microphones was used to record all the key details of the vehicle. The engine was recorded with a Neumann U 87, while the exhaust was captured using an Electro Voice 868. Inside the cabin, sounds were recorded with two microphones: a Shure 57 and a Neumann KM 184 for the front section, and a Sennheiser SPM 8000 for the rear area. External pass-by recordings were made with Oktava and Sennheiser MKH-416 microphones, and additional external spot recordings (Spot A) were captured using Neumann U 87 and Sennheiser MKH-416. This comprehensive approach allowed us to create a full and vivid sound portrait of the UAZ Patriot, reflecting its character and dynamics.
The sounds of a modern motor that knows its roots!
The recording of this powerful fireball of a race car was performed on a specialist chassis dynamometer system to give you the most realistic and immersive sounds possible. The library includes the characteristic roar of the engine, its start, its revving, idling, dynamic acceleration, and spectacular braking at different speeds, as well as the sounds of gear shifting and engine cut-off.
In our special set-up, we rigged the following microphones to capture the engine, one of each of the following: Electro Voice RE-20, Neumann U 87, Sennheiser MKH 416, Shure SM77, Telefunken M81, and a Violet Design Amethyst Vintage. As for the exhaust system, a Sennheiser MKH 416, Neumann U 87, and Sennheiser SPM 8000 were deployed.
By recording in what can rightly be called laboratory conditions on the whirring dynamometer, we believe that here in the files are possibly the most faithfully accurate recordings of a race car ever captured for sound industry purposes, getting you as close as never before to a Formula-level racer as it really sounds in performance mode. Vroom vroom!
Pole position for audiophiles!
Dawn Vehicle Passing By captures the rich, organic textures of early morning life in a riverside village near the Progo River, Yogyakarta. This immersive field recording album features a dynamic blend of natural ambience and human activity — from the gentle chorus of crickets, birds, and lizards to the rising rhythm of passing vehicles. Dominated by the distinctive sound of motorbikes, with occasional trucks and cars rolling by, each track tells a sonic story of dawn along a quiet village road.
Ideal for sound designers, filmmakers, and ambient audio enthusiasts, this collection offers authentic rural Indonesian atmosphere with layers of nature and movement. Recorded in high quality by Sound Effect Stacks, these soundscapes reflect the calm, yet ever-awakening pulse of village life at first light.

The Audi A6 is a sound library filled with powerful and emotive sounds that can captivate you from the first notes. In it we collected aggressive engine starts, the low rumbling exhaust sounds, driving at a variety of speeds, engine idling, and sharp braking with skids and whooshes. Every sound is a harmony of adrenaline and speed, character and power. This is the definitive sound library for the much-loved German modern classic that is the Audi A6. Designed specifically for the film, advertising and gaming industries, multi-channel sync recordings will propel your projects with unique style and dynamic mood.
In order to achieve this, we rigged two Neumann U 87 microphones to the engine, and one Neumann KM 184 mic to the exhaust. We set up a Sennheiser Ambeo Soundbar and a Sennheiser SPM 8000 mic to capture the interior, and for the exterior we again deployed two Neumann U 87 mics and a Sennheiser MKH 416 mic. In the spirit of the excellence of German engineering, we were as comprehensive and meticulous as possible, and the results are there in the files.
This is a sound collection that will help you create an exciting racing, chasing atmosphere. Level up your audiovisual projects with our unique sound effects!

Animal Hyperrealism Vol III is a library containing sounds themed animal vocalisations, from real to designed creatures totaling more than 1700 individual sounds in 279 files.
The sounds were recorded in zoos and wildlife centers. The asset list includes but is not limited to: european red deers, monkeys, reindeers, hornbills camels, crickets, tamarins, boars, frogs, red ruffed lemurs, parrots, and many more.
The content has been recorded at 192KHz with a Sanken CO100K plus a Sennheiser 8050 for center image and a couple of Sennheiser MKH8040 for stereo image.
Part of the cheats section of the library features samples recorded at 384KHz. For these sounds an additional microphone was employed, specifically the CMPA by Avisoft-Bioacoustics which records up to 200 KHz. This microphone was used to record most of the library but the 384KHz format was preserved only where energy was found beyond 96KHz not to occupy unnecessary disk space.
All files are delivered as stereo bounce of these for mics, though in some instances an additional couple of CO100K was added to the sides.
The resulting ultrasonic spectrum is rich and allows for truly extreme manipulation of the content.
A pack of 20 courthouse crowd sound clips: halls, atriums, courtrooms, & corridors. 1.5 GB.
Audiobeast is proud to present our second sample library; the only library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in urban environments! For this recording session we were given access to a military training site known as a FIBUA (Fighting In Built-Up Area) consisting of streets with a variety of buildings, vehicles, and exclusive permission to fire weapons in several locations. Pictures of the street and gas station locations and firing points are included.
The aim of this library was to offer the slapback type tails needed for gun sound design for convincing city scenes in film, games and tv production. It’s always been difficult to find gun recordings in a city environment so we hope this library helps sound people everywhere.
This Library contains over 3 GBs of weapons being fired in multiple urban environments, a street, outside of a gas station and inside of a tower block. 218 WAV files of single shots, bursts and many with multiple takes, all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.
Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the street 100 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned around corners, a nearby graveyard, through walls and in armored vehicles to capture a variety of perspectives.
Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
If you need a wider selection of interior gun recordings please check out our first library – The London Warehouse Firearms library

All files have been meticulously edited and cleaned, and have embedded UCS-compliant Soundminer metadata.

A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
