Scary, creepy, nasty horror sound effects and gore sounds
Haunting Ambiences Bundle includes three of our fastest selling Horror Sound Effects Libraries to date. With a total size of 29.5 GB and 236+ files (690 mins approx.), this product includes 39 dense, multi-layered construction kits, everything you need to build a world around your horror scenes with separated stems.
The team in collaboration with Georgi Valchev from West Wolf Audio captured creepy ambiences and sounds from different countries across Eastern Europe, various vocalisations, instruments and synthesizers. We even recorded sounds from the cellblock where a couple of notorious killers (The Moors Murderers) were held at The Old Courthouse, Manchester.
Our Audio Craftsman meticulously edited the sounds and designed them to make menacing shipyards, abandoned mansions, forgotten forests, mental asylums, gas chambers, underground prisons, experimental labs, haunted sewers, haunted houses, zombie apocalypse and much, much more.
These dense ambiences include split stems with the same running length to encourage experimentation, allowing you to add or subtract certain elements, balance them or combine them with sounds from other construction kits in the pack. In addition all of the files are tagged with extensive metadata to integrate seamlessly with your workflow.
You will be more than 15% of the total cost of the individual libraries when purchasing this bundle, an excellent value for money addition to your films, documentaries, video games, escape room/live experiences and other horror/sci-fi projects.
Included libraries:
Haunting Ambiences Vol.1
Haunting Ambiences Vol.2
Haunting Ambiences Vol.3
The Gut-Wrenching Gore Library gathers 712 clips in 26.96 gigabytes. Recorded from 6 synchronized perspectives in 192 kHz, it shares horror sound design elements in two themes: male and female vocalizations and fruit destruction.
The vocalization showcase screams, choking, gurgling, gobbling, teeth and biting, and breathing, each with a variety of takes and performances. Body blows, stabs, hits, and gore were provided by tearing, breaking, and squeezing fruit, vegetables, and other food such as watermelons, leeks, porridge, yogurt, tomatoes and others.
The package includes Pro Tools and Reaper mixing sessions, and embedded metadata in every clip.

‘Dark World’ is a collection of 50 drones and moods (250 mins +) that explore ideas of designed spaces.
Blurring the lines between score and sound design, ‘Dark World’ combines sound effects and musical instruments to create tense, beautiful and eerie moods. Made for composers and sound designers and ideal for surround sound placement.

This Old Object library contains edited and Raw recordings made with Sanken CO100K and Nevaton MC59 microphones for full spectral frequencies up to 70 kHz and beyond. Tortured metal surfaces screeching, old rusty profiles squeaking, dirty and gritty metal surfaces scraping, old wheels spinning and whining, mechanical pieces draining out their last screams… The Raw recordings allow you for more alternative movements, different squeaks, different speeds. All sounds are cleaned up but no effects have been applied so you can use them in any setting you want by adding your own fx.
The ultrasonic content can be used when the sounds are slowed down for eerie and spooky atmospheres. The original recordings can already be a torture to listen to, but why not go to the limits of what can be listened to, the story-line may ask for it.
This library is UCS compliant, has 24 bit 192 kHz sound files.
This sound FX library is part of a series of recordings available:
The DEADLY COMBAT SOUND LIBRARY is a great option if you are looking for crunchy, beefy and gory sound effects for that extra layer of violence in you combat sequences.

It’s all ready-to-use!
Metal friction recordings shine when using a rosined cello bow on a thin sheet of metal or a drum cymbal. Dragging a heavy metal cabinet across a floor creates a wild ronk; pulling a gritty old wheelbarrow over concrete is a hell of a sound; and pulling a rusty metal drawer through an uncooperative space is pure gold.
With this massive metal friction SFX library, you’ll be able to either design your own unique material using the included raw source sounds of scrapes, deep bows, slicers and grinders, or start by grabbing ready-to-go designed metallic sounds that are perfect for trailers, horror, games, and more.
This library contains 132 detailed recordings of various source metal friction + 29 designed cinematic metallic textures. All recordings captured on a Sound Devices MixPre 6 using a Sennheiser MKH 8040 Stereo Pair.
Haunting Ambiences Vol. 2 is brought to you as the successor to one of our fastest selling Sound Effects Libraries to date, made in collaboration with recordist Georgi Valchev from West Wolf. *Note: This library has been renamed from “Slaughter” to “Flesh, Bones & Gore”.
This deer was legally hunted and then butchered (in my living room) and we recorded it from several perspectives with several recorders.
Yes this is a deer being dismembered. Peeling the hide off the carcass is an amazing sound. Some good punches into the carcass as well as real bone breaks and gory movement recorded from inside the chest cavity.

Audiobeast is proud to present our second sample library; the only library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in urban environments! For this recording session we were given access to a military training site known as a FIBUA (Fighting In Built-Up Area) consisting of streets with a variety of buildings, vehicles, and exclusive permission to fire weapons in several locations. Pictures of the street and gas station locations and firing points are included.
The aim of this library was to offer the slapback type tails needed for gun sound design for convincing city scenes in film, games and tv production. It’s always been difficult to find gun recordings in a city environment so we hope this library helps sound people everywhere.
This Library contains over 3 GBs of weapons being fired in multiple urban environments, a street, outside of a gas station and inside of a tower block. 218 WAV files of single shots, bursts and many with multiple takes, all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.
Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the street 100 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned around corners, a nearby graveyard, through walls and in armored vehicles to capture a variety of perspectives.
Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
If you need a wider selection of interior gun recordings please check out our first library – The London Warehouse Firearms library
MAGIC – ALCHEMY is a professional sound effects library built from real chemical reactions and elemental forces. It delivers short, character-rich magic sound effects perfect for spellcasting, magical UI design, and fantasy storytelling. Designed to sit cleanly in a mix and shimmer with personality, these spell sounds are ideal for games, trailers, audio dramas and more. Real reactions, recorded with obsessive detail.
No digital fakery here. Every sound in MAGIC – ALCHEMY began as a live experiment — alcohol burning in jars, butane growling through pipes, fuses igniting, water swirling in glass. These are true-to-life textures, captured in a lab-grade recording setup. The result? Magical sound with depth, realism, and spark..
These are not long, cinematic flourishes. This library is about immediacy — short, dry, punchy magic effects that are easy to slot into your project. Ideal for game asset design, magical feedback sounds, and trailer moments where clarity counts.
Need a healing chime, a cursed hex, or something more ambiguous? The Designed section is grouped into Holy, Cursed, and Neutral categories — giving you emotional options that match your scene’s intent, whether you’re crafting a fantasy RPG or a subtle magical interaction.
Whether you’re layering magic for a fantasy film, adding interactive audio to a mobile game, or creating rich textures for audiobooks or theatre, MAGIC – ALCHEMY fits right in. It’s mix-ready, flexible, and full of sonic character.

A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
