CATASHHH – Tonal ambiences from industrial labs
notes
Some time ago I was asked to record some interviews in a company where they perform tests, analyses and experiments on different products for the wood and furniture industry.
Being there I was captivated by all the sounds I heard in every single space I entered. Every time it was like discovering a new world.
Thus, I decided to record them.
Please, enjoy the sounds and feel free to get in touch with me for any feedback at [email protected]

Back and Forth was born of an idea of Matteo Milani and Lorenzo di Tria (aka Dj Mate/Signal Generator), thinking on how to build an intuitive and great sounding music tool for contemporary producers and sound designers.
Based on Lorenzo’s experience on the art of turntablism and Matteo’s ability to produce distinctive sound effect libraries, this collection is now an easy way to add real scratch and turntable performances to your musical and audiovisual projects, and finally make them sounds better then ever before.
The unsurpassed sound of the needle in the groove and the cuts of the crossfader generate an unmistakable music quality and uniqueness.

Impacts, friction, and destruction of large objects on wood, various metals, dirt, leaves, glass, plastic, brick, and concrete! There’s no shortage of destruction and debris in this library with over 350 sounds to choose from.
These files were recorded at a destination of a heaping pile of debris waiting to be hauled to a landfill. Whether you need smashes, thuds, heavy falls, glass breaking, shingles scraping, shovels digging, wood and metal bending and creaking, and hoisting large objects followed by destruction this library has got your back. Combine these files to create the most epic destructions or use them by themselves for direct impacts or friction of materials. Enjoy You Me & Debris!

The BINAURAL ORCHESTRA SOUND EFFECTS library delivers 1340 unique orchestral sounds from 13 different instruments – including violin, cello, tuba, double bass, contrabassoon, trombone, trumpet, musical saw, flute, piccolo, clarinet, marimba, and a wind machine.
All instruments recorded in musician perspective with an binaural microphone, in listener perspective with an dummy head microphone and mono. Each instrument plays different notes of the harmonic series with three variations of each fundamental frequency. Furthermore plays each instrument three glissando or transposition variations. The recordings took place in a great-sounding concert hall.
The library is perfectly suited for sound designers, composers and musicians. All sounds are in WAV, 24 bit & 48 kHz and include metadata.
This library is a collection of a wide variety of sounds recorded with high quality equipment over the past few years.
Most of the sounds are field recordings or otherwise raw without any processing such as noise removal, EQ or compression, but still mostly curated and edited so that it’s fast to start using them in your projects.
To celebrate the end of one era I decided to put together most of my recordings as one library, it’s including recordings with different techniques – from the electromagnetic fields of iPhone and a contact-mic’d sewing machine, to ORTF-stereo atmospheres of greenhouses, and gardens full of crickets recorded in ambisonic, and much more. 45 GB of material should cover your needs for some time :)
I hope it’s useful as a source of ready-to-use sound effects, but also as material and inspiration for something more. High quality and high sample rates allow you to manipulate the sounds a lot without losing their energy. Have fun with the library!
The MicroTone: Doors library contains 133 everyday filing cabinet drawer open and closes at various distances and speeds.
Two filing cabinets, one metal and one wood, recorded at close and medium perspectives. Performances of all the drawers at fast, medium and slow speeds.
Contains sounds which will work for all your drawer and door effect cutting needs. Slowed down they make great rattling, creaking doors as well. The metal cabinet sounds particularly big and slamming at lower pitches!
MicroTone is a series of smaller, less expensive libraries from Tone Manufacture for those times when you need a small injection of fresh sounds for a project and don’t have time to record your own.
Sounds from a Transit System on Pause.
Underground Ambiences and Mechanical Atmospheres for Cinematic and Abstract Soundscapes.
The Still Line is a 139-minute sound effects library capturing the rare stillness and quiet pulse of an underground rail network paused in time. Recorded during a period of minimal traffic, as public life slowly returned after lockdowns, it spans resonant tunnels, hushed platforms, and moving trains, with subtle human presence woven throughout—footsteps, luggage wheels, and distant voices—adding life without disrupting the pervasive stillness. These recordings offer rich ambiences and precise mechanical textures, perfect for grounding a scene in reality, providing unique sonic textures, or reimagining it for something entirely new.
Step into an underground transit system where empty platforms, echoing tunnels, the mechanical heartbeat of infrastructure, and sparse human touches all coexist to create a cinematic soundscape.
This mini-library offers over two hours of recordings from quiet platforms, long tunnels, ticket halls, train interiors, and the subtle machinery that sustains the network. Freed from the usual crowd noise, every detail emerges: the tonal hum of escalators, the metallic sigh of air brakes, distant trains rolling through silent tunnels, and the layered resonance of vast, reflective chambers.
What’s Inside
Whether you’re building a dystopian future, crafting cinematic tension, or repurposing urban textures for abstract sound design, The Still Line offers a unique palette grounded in reality yet open to transformation.
A large range of BOWED METAL assets recording on a variety of metallic surfaces.

Captured over five years in a secluded forest house — THUNDER CLAPS delivers the raw, untamed power of nature.
Recording lightning strikes at close range is one of the most difficult — and dangerous — things in field recording. Capturing them in a secluded home in the heart of the countryside has made this process a bit easier.
Now sit and feel the intensity of authentic close, medium, and distant thunder strikes, booms, and rumbles — recorded at up to 32-bit / 192kHz resolution for unmatched detail and dynamic range.
There are no other sounds in these files but the booming of the strikes. All tracks feature clean, isolated thunder claps — NO rain, NO wind, NO background noise — so you won’t waste time cleaning or editing. Just drag, drop, and unleash the storm.
Note: The SoundCloud demo includes a rain texture just for protection purposes. This is not included in the library.
What sets this collection apart is its origin: over 90% of the fire movement sounds were synthesized in Bitwig Studio’s GRID, where analog-style synthesis, FM, distortion, and spectral shaping were combined with macro-modulated dynamics and convolution layering. The result? Fire that doesn’t just sound real – it sounds scorching hot!
Perfect for sound designers working on:
From fast-passing flame whips and pressure-heavy blasts to longer, smoky, and textured burn trails — this pack offers a versatile range of fire movement textures ready for layering or as stand-alone assets.
DESIGNED IN: Bitwig
EDITED AND MASTERED WITH: Bitwig, Pro Tools

A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
