Foley Sound Effects

Foley sound effects collections featuring everyday objects, movement and common, useful sounds

  • Mechanical Sound Effects Latchlocker Play Track 850+ sounds included, 14 mins total $20

This sound effects library of latches, locks, switches, clips, slides, clasps, gears, bolts, and ratchets is a mechanical sonic powerhouse, offering the functional and mechanical sounds of a plethora of quirky contraptions that latch or lock together in some manner or another. Embellish a simple hand tool or build utterly complex mechanizations.

Some source materials were discovered in old railway yards, others were random findings in an antique mall, while others still were dislodged components of even larger, more complex machines. Like little sonic building blocks, the sounds herein are primarily reduced to their smallest meaningful components, giving you the quick, accessible freedom to drop/move/stack them for fast production.  As with many of our libraries, we focused on providing sets of similar sounds so that you can create sequences and randomized groups for an event on the fly without having to commit extra editing time.

We’ve also included 26 of our own designs to get your creative machine turning!

  • Editing footsteps in audio post-production can be time-consuming. Footstep Loops II is a sound library that delivers a comprehensive kit of footstep sound effects made to ease your daily work.

The collection contains footstep sounds of various shoes and surfaces, recorded in different paces and edited to continuous but lively 30-second sound loops.

    VARIETY

The Footstep Loops II Sound Library covers a wide range of different footsteps:

    Barefoot, Socks, Slippers, Flip-Flops, Sneakers on Wood, Sneakers on Concrete, Boots on Wood, Boots on Concrete, Heels on Wood, Heels on Stone;
    Grass, Gravel, Forest, Foliage, Dry Foliage, Stones, Puddle, Mud, Snow;
Stairs up + down: Wooden Stairs, Metal Stairs, Stone Stairs

    PACE

Each type of footsteps is available as a set of 13 sound files that represent a range from walking very slowly up to very speedy. Paces are sorted by Footsteps per Minute (FPM):

Ground Footsteps: from 40 FPM to 160 FPM
Stairs Footsteps: from 60 FPM to 180 FPM (up) / from 80 FPM to 200 FPM (down)

    LAYERS

Since all (ground) footstep loops have the same FPM paces, they can be layered easily. E.g. you can add a puddle sound element to sneakers walking on concrete etc.

    CLOTHING

You can add clothing as a layer to make the movements sound more natural. The sounds of jeans & jacket fit to all ground footsteps. Furthermore, versions with well-balanced clothing sounds of all main footstep loops are already included as ready-to-use files!

    ADDITIONAL ELEMENTS

Some experimental elements are also included in the library:
2 layers of floor creaks and one layer that adds the sound of keys in the pocket while walking.

    TIME-COMPRESS

Paces of the sound loops included in the Footstep Loops II sound library increase in steps of 10 FPM each. If you need a value in between, time-compress the file just a tiny bit – the quality loss is almost inaudible in modern digital audio workstations.

  • Creature Sound Effects Mouthy Play Track 302+ sounds included, 27 mins total $13

A meditation on the most versatile audio tool with which we are biologically equipped, we have carefully crafted this collection of mouth noises to provide you with highly dynamic and almost unpredictable organic audio fare. However, we tried to explore less conventional noises and specifically avoided the usual burps, coughs, throat clears, etc. Captured from a single male voice actor, this collection includes squishy spurts, saliva smacks, guttural loops, pops, clicks, cracks, inhales, exhales, and air bursts.

A particular part of this library is the intentional use of creating soft distortion from moving air over the mic membranes in specific ways.  This helped add low end and saturated elements to many of the sounds. The wide spectral coverage of this library makes it easy to blend many of the sounds together to achieve some truly diffused but balanced soundscapes.  Don’t try to tame this library, unleash it! We’ve successfully used these in explosions, engine layers, organic rummaging, shots, ambient clouds, UI, and more. Enjoy!

The “Seismic Activities” sound archive contains over 2500 different noises from vibrations, shocks, and their resonances.
We have taken the trouble to use a set-up of different natural sounds, such as frequency drops, thunder, or the sound of deep rumbling, to control two structure-borne sound transducers. We have installed these converters in various locations. For example, we were at a company that produces large roller doors. There we shook all sorts of pipes, high racks, tool cabinets, gates, and the like.
In addition, we worked with many household items to create a variety of sound structures, which should make the use of “seismic activities” particularly diverse.
Almost all of the sounds were generated from a multi-channel set-up made up of Sennheiser MKH80 (ORTF), DPA 4060 (AB) and a Sony DR100. So you can expect the best sound quality. As always, a Sounddevices 744T and a Mixpre were used as recording devices.
As always, all files come with burned in metadata in open standards like iXml, BWAV, ID3 Chunk.

The Zombie Apocalypse has arrived, and the virus is spreading fast. This comprehensive sound library features 20,000 high quality zombie sounds, making it the most complete zombie sound collection ever released.

    Expert Vocalizations
In today’s films and video games, zombies have four distinct vocal archetypes. The renowned creature voice talents from The Monster Factory have expertly performed all these vocalizations, covering every genre of zombie imaginable—from the fast-paced, ultra-rabid freshly infected to the slow, hauntingly wailing undead. Our team has been trusted by AAA video game companies for over 15 years, contributing creature vocalizations to games like Star Wars Outlaws, Dead by Daylight, Until Dawn, Hellblade 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, and many more. Their expertise in creating immersive audio nightmares is highly sought-after in the industry.

    More Actions and Variations
Unlike typical sound libraries that limit diversity by offering only a few choices, Zombie Apocalypse delivers a wider range of actions and variations. With more options for nuanced performances, you can ensure that the sounds match every movement and action of your characters. The Zombie Apocalypse library covers a wide range of actions and intensity level, including:

    • Breathing, Walking, Running
    • Idle, Detection, Attacks
    • Pain & Death sequences
    • Biting, Chewing, Choking, and much more!

For the full list of actions, click here.

    Voice Layering Options
For greater customization, we recorded each action with a consistent phonetic script, ensuring that different voice techniques can be perfectly layered together. You can mix 2, 3, or even 4 different voice techniques, giving you endless possibilities to create unique zombie sounds or even non-zombie creatures. Though designed primarily for zombies, this library’s layering capabilities make it versatile enough to design an array of creatures and monsters. It’s the most flexible collection of creature vocalizations available.

    Distant Microphone Recording
While recording, we used a second Sanken CO-100K microphone positioned 3 meters away from the first, adding depth and nuance to the recordings. These distant microphone audio files will help you create richer ambiances, ensuring that not all zombies sound the same or come from the same distance.

Unparalleled Level of Audio Quality for Unparalleled Level of Terror
Recorded at Tone Studio in Montreal by James Duhamel, the Zombie Apocalypse library offers pristine audio fidelity with a 192 kHz/24-bit sample rate. This, combined with the talents of trusted voice actors and the increased variety of actions and variations, the layering option to keep your listeners immersed and on edge, makes Zombie Apocalypse the most complete and unique sound library on the market. If it is not the first zombie sound library you have bought, this one will definitely be your last.

    Rich Metadata Embedded
Every file comes with UCS naming and detailed metadata, including file descriptions and keywords, ensuring that you can quickly find the right sounds for your project.

Sounds from a town covered in fresh snow

I woke up on Sunday morning here in England and pulled back the curtains to see a town covered in snow. So I got my winter clothes on, grabbed my digital recorder and spent the whole day in the town, recording all the snowy wintry sounds I could find. This pack is the results. The pack consists of some general ambiences, some snowball hits, footsteps, ice in a barrel being chipped, a snowball fight, cars driving and struggling in the snow and much more.
There are WAVS and MP3s supplied.

  • This in-depth and enormous library was originally created with video games in mind but became much more detailed over time. Most of the props were used on multiple surfaces, with multiple versions. This avoids sounding repetitious. Props range from Grabs, Drops, Rolls, Slides, Crinkles, Shakes, Handling, and much more.

There are no footsteps in this compilation, however, there are over 3000 versatile sounds.
This well recorded Foley library is very perfect for all media content.
The total amount of files in Essential House Foley is over 3200, offering a large dynamic range in props used.

Recorded in Burbank CA, we used state of the art equipment and computers. The sounds have all been captured and mastered in Pro Tools, and kept natural sounding, by edited and mixing with very light and natural sounding compression and limiting.
