  • City Life Sound Effects Construction Ambiences (WW) Play Track 38 sounds included $30

    Construction Ambiences is a library of atmospheres that tracks different processes from the construction site.

    It was recorded in Sofia, Bulgaria during the renovation of several objects in the city center, namely: small streets, squares and big streets. The processes are shaking and removing old pavements and placing new ones (pavement, asphalt, tiles, etc.).

    You will hear a variety of road construction equipment: Hydraulic Jackhammer, Excavator, Fadroma, Plate Compactor, Buzzsaw, Chainsaw and other hand and mechanical tools.

    Workers who speak and chat intelligibly in distant backgrounds can also be heard.

    Тhe feeling of an urban environment is aided by the reflected sound waves of surrounding buildings.

    Gear used: Neumann KM184 stereo set, Edirol R4pro. All files are meta-tagged in Soundminer.

    • To record this library an acoustic guitar was transformed into an aeolian harp. I hope this library gives you a chance to hear the wind in a way you haven’t heard it before. Enjoy listening to the natural music of the wind as it sings on long thin wires

    •Don’t worry about the wind drones clashing with the music in your project. The notes are listed in the filenames for easy pitch shifting!
    •Open guitar tunings allow the strings to resonant freely in the wind as beautiful chords
    •Strong 20-40 mph winds
    •Rich overtone filled wind drones
    •Dead winter grass
    •Coniferous and deciduous wind from desert foliage
    •A violin bow was used to bow the strings in a few clips.
    MICROPHONE TECHNIQUE:
    •All recordings were made outdoors.
    •A Sennheiser MKH 50 and 30 in Mid/Side were using for most recordings
    •DPA 4060s were used under the strings of the guitar to capture more overtones. In a few cases, I combined a DPA 4060 and Sennheiser MKH 30 and matrixed it as mid/side for a unique perspective.
    •Bowed guitar clips were recorded in ORTF.

    •Markers are included in the Soundminer and BWAV description fields starting with the prefix “Marker Text”.

    What is Odds and Ends?
    Let me soothe your worried mind with a short concise explanation:

    Odds and Ends is basically a general SFX library, but smaller. Most general libraries total up to about 100gb or more, whereas this is a lot of the same material, but aimed to supplement your already existing library.

    Odds and Ends contains a variety of ambiances, studio foley, and unique one off recordings that couldn't be expanded into a full library; for instance recordings of a baby alligator chirping, or a small collection of submarine ambiances.

    On that note, one of the most extensive portions of the library are 8gb of various stereo ambiances. Due to how much I traveled during the production of this library, I’ve covered quite a few locations, from the Pacific NW to the Deep South.

  • Industrial Ambiences Laundry Mangles Play Track 200+ sounds included, 110 mins total $40

    Laundry Mangles is a library full of sounds from vintage machines that once where used in many public washhouses. In some locations they are in use even today.

    Basically, the weight of a huge box filled with stones was used to press big pieces of linen, bed sheets or towels wound on rollers below. Early models were operated by hand which was very exhausting and soon the machines were equipped with electric motors and belt drives.

    This library delivers sounds from 5 different models of various ages that are operated with a crank shaft or electrical belt drive. All machines have been extensively recorded so that any imaginable perspective and operational state is covered. This includes full runs with belt drive and crank shaft, protective grating handlings, idling motors and much more.

  • Car Sound Effects Car Pass By Interior Play Track 940 sounds included, 354 mins total $60

    Description:

    Car Pass By Interior features a diverse set of recordings of cars passing by heard from the interior of a car.

    Recordings have been edited into wet and dry, single pass bys, groups of cars, windows up and down, close and distant pass bys. All easy to search with the UCS standard naming and meta data. With this library you should be able to cover a wide range of scenarios.

    The cars recorded are misc compact to large combustion cars driving at city speeds.

    • DPA 4017 and DPA 4060 mics are production sound mixers favorites. The 4060 presents the pass bys more soft and 4017 more dramaticly, cars feel faster, both has nice low frequencies.

     Notes:

    • Recording was done from a Toyota Yaris 2013, a small car that wobbles with cars passing close by. It also has a dampened car interior, that isn’t too roomy like cars with glass roofs, the recordings can be used with many car interiors.

    • The library is ideal for sfx editors, sound designers, editors looking for realistic car interior ambiences and pass bys to sync to picture. Because of the wobbling of the car it can be great source material for designing whooshes.
