Designed to give you the essential tools to craft unique, ice-themed audio, this toolkit goes beyond just frozen environments. It includes a mix of authentic ice sounds alongside complementary elements, all focused on the central theme of ice. Whether you’re working on icy landscapes, frost weapons, or other frozen elements, this library provides you with the freedom to build your own custom soundscapes.
Frozen Core Vol. 1 – Forge is all about giving you the freedom to build, experiment, and create with sounds that fit your unique vision of ice and frost. With this library, you have the perfect foundation for your projects, while the Source and Processed categories offer the flexibility to take your designs as far as your creativity will go.
My name is Michael Gorjacev, the face behind CELL AUDIO. As an enthusiastic composer and sound designer, I’ve found my passion within the realm of game development. Especially game audio design has become one of my greatest interests, and this passion is reflected in my SFX packs. While these are inspired by some of the great examples in the industry, they are designed with a clear focus on game design, both in the selection of the sounds and their overall concept.
My mission is simple: to create SFX packs that meet high-quality standards for sound designers, while also making sound design accessible for game developers. To achieve this, I’m creating a series of SFX packs, each centered around a specific theme. These packs will be available in two different versions, giving developers the flexibility they need. Following the well-established practice of splitting sound libraries into construction and designed packs, I’m expanding on this principle.
To make things even more intuitive for developers, my libraries are divided into four core categories that will provide clarity and transparency:
• Source: The foundation of every sound designer’s work. These sounds are captured directly with microphones or freshly created using synths. Expect foley recordings, such as footsteps, in this category.
• Processed: This category takes Source sounds a step further. This is where the real fun begins, with unique variations and combinations of Source sounds that wouldn’t be found in the real world. For example, mono source files are transformed into expansive and complex stereo soundscapes.
• Designed: A classic category, where Source and Processed sounds come together to create bold, larger-than-life effects. These sounds are highly crafted with no compromises. The goal is simple: make them sound big, powerful, and fun.
• Prime: Specially tailored for game developers, this category focuses on sounds designed for seamless integration into game engines. Additionally, I take the liberty to include new, unique sounds that are too specific for the other categories. The concept of “Prime” was inspired by prime numbers, where indivisibility perfectly aligns with the uniqueness of these sounds. In this category, the lines between the others blur, and even foley has a place. Think of it as a surprise package.
To organize my packs efficiently, every theme will be available in two volumes: Forge and Fusion.
Forge: The classic pack designed for creating new SFX. It includes Source and Processed sounds, the building blocks for crafting unique audio.
Fusion: Ready-to-use, bombastic sounds from the Designed and Prime categories. Perfect for those who need fast results. This version is especially recommended for developers who prefer not to forge their own sounds.
Innokentiy –
Original, clean, detailed recordings with lots of character. The library could be used in various scenarios, so it’s a must-have for any sound designer in my opinion.
The designed section is also great. I can see myself using the designed elements as sweeteners.
I will keep my eye on any future releases by this company, the quality is top-notch.
