Introducing “Cricket – Junior & Senior”, the ultimate sound effects library tailor-made for cricket enthusiasts and creators alike!
Whether you’re looking for the crisp crack of the bat connecting with the ball, the shuffle of players in the field, or the exhilarating ambience of a bustling cricket ground, we’ve got you covered with a broad range of sounds that differentiate cricket from other batting sports. Included are sounds of cricket gear, movements, batting, bowling, fielding and other miscellaneous sounds.
Create with the dynamic energy of wind. As one of the most challenging subjects to record, wind sounds also inspire a range of creative and practical uses on projects of all types. That’s why we’re proud to present Cinematic Winds: Volume 2 – the exclusive followup to our most popular specialty library, Cinematic Winds.
Like its predecessor, much of this wind sound effects library is curated from legendary film sound designers Ann Kroeber and Alan Splet – both well known for their work with David Lynch and more. Volume 2 expands on this with even more moody, colorful wind recordings from Academy Award®-winning sound artist Richard King (Dunkirk, Inception) plus recordist/sound designer Colin Lechner (Raconteur Sound).
These sounds are full of character – from light breezes and swirling heavy gusts, to carefully-crafted whistling wisps and ghostly roaring swells. Capture the emotive power of wind as it rustles through leaves and howls through windows – ideal for inducing subconscious emotion, imposing a powerful presence, or creating both earthy and surreal soundscapes.
Descriptive embedded metadata helps you find exactly the sound you need with practical, literal interpretations as well as emotional impressions of the sound effects. The wind sounds are grouped into five categories:
Ann Kroeber, Alan Splet, Richard King, Colin Lechner
“City Streets Bundle”is a collection of 5 libraries or a total of 258 atmospheres that are recorded in urban environments and encompass a wide variety of city streets across different seasons and hours of the day. Inside you will find more than 20GB and over 10h of high quality ambiences.
Night Cityscapes: The library delivers the urban sounds of a sleeping city. The collection includes more than 3 hours of night and early morning ambiences that are recorded in Sofia, Bulgaria. All recordings were made between 01:30 and 05:30 am. This collection will uncover city in a way you may not know. You will find atmospheres of quiet and empty small streets in the city center, where can be heard some air conditioners, urban hum and light traffic in the far background.
Pedestrian Streets: It is a library of 50 ambiences from around 15 different streets, recorded in about 7 cities, mostly in Bulgaria. Most recordings are made in late autumn or winter because bird life is minimized. The task of this library is to capture much of the different dynamics of pedestrian streets: from zero activity to busy streets, basically concentrating on light activity periods. It’s principally recorded in the morning, and you’ll hear the sounds of single footsteps, light voices, shopping streets, dogs, air conditioners, and more of the sounds of a rising city.
Slush and Wet Streets: It is a library that contains 34 tracks (92 minutes total) that are recorded in winter urban environments. You will hear sounds of passing cars and people on slush, wet or snow-covered streets. Atmospheres are recorded at different times of the day and night and at various locations. There are ambiences in the collection that track urban traffic at varying intensities, from an almost empty street with 1 or 2 pass by cars to busy traffic on a wet boulevard. Also, microphones are placed in different positions, from 2m to 30m from moving cars.
Construction Ambiences: It is a library of atmospheres that tracks different processes from the construction site. It was recorded in Sofia, Bulgaria during the renovation of several objects in the city center, namely: small streets, squares and big streets. The processes are shaking and removing old pavements and placing new ones (pavement, asphalt, tiles, etc.). You will hear a variety of road construction equipment: Hydraulic Jackhammer, Excavator, Fadroma, Plate Compactor, Buzzsaw, Chainsaw and other hand and mechanical tools.
Cityscapes and streets: It is a collection of different atmospheres, recorded in Sofia, Bulgaria. Inside you will find various cityscapes from hectic street traffic through city parks, subway stations, pedestrian zones to quiet morning urban sounds. This package covers various city states and is an excellent choice for filling your library or using it in a project where urban environment is necessary.

“Alps” includes a huge variety of Ambiences recorded in a pristine region in Switzerland which is still in its original and natural state. Through a minimum of civilisation and a base in a cabin up on the mountains, it was possible to catch super clean and natural ambiences with a minimum of noise pollution. We made sure this library includes a pure alps experience. This collection gets you a great collection of rivers, quiet forests, birds, valleys, fields and more recorded from different perspectives and heights.
Special thanks to Raimund Förnzler (pictures, moving pictures), Marvin Brand and Daniel Strübig for making this library possible!
The Board Game Sound Library features more than 2.350 sounds.
These sound effects are especially useful when it comes to creating games that simulate real boardgames or modern apps featuring game mechanisms as dice rolling and moving tokens.
The Board Game Sound Library covers 6 main categories, granting easy access to a variety of sounds — dice, pawns (or meeples or checkers) moving, tokens made of cardboard and wood, plastic pieces and many more.
The sounds provided by the Board Game Sound Library have been carefully produced, selected, edited and tested.
The Board Game Sound Library offers a great variety. Especially in games, sound repetitions of the same recording-take when rolling a dice or moving a pawn can bore the audience. So within this library, the sounds have been recorded in many different repetitions and variations.
All sounds of the Board Game Sound Library are royalty-free. They may be used for private and commercial purposes.
Provided in 96 kHz / 24bit AND 44,1 kHz / 16 bit
Get over 350 splashes and complimentary water movements/textures with the “Cannonball!” water splash/movement SFX library. There’s dives, lunges, emerges, swishes, and drips.
Then there’s some more unique elements like these really cool percussive splashes using axes and hammers, water whooshes and sweeps recorded in quad, all to give you more than just your typical splash. Except for one session in the foley studio, all of this material was recorded outside which means no tub reflections.
A toolbox of sounds that you will come back to over and over.
This library delivers a diverse collection of waves on rugged beaches; crashes on boulders, churns in stone basins, sizzles on pebbles, gentle laps in coves, and trickles in tidepools.
We are the People is a sound effects library filled with protests chants from the 2012 NATO protests in Chicago.
Two locations give this library two aurally unique crowd environments. The downtown protests reflect off the surrounding buildings, giving them a neat urban quality, while the Ravenswood protests give the impression of a more open environment. Groups of protesters in unified chant ranged in size from just a few to perhaps 200 or more. Many of the recordings have wonderful builds, starting with one or two voices and grow from there, in both size and intensity.
These recordings work great as stand alone effects or for layering in some specificity to crowds. The next time your designing a defiant crowd, bring some authenticity with We are the People.
Around Bridges introduces the inner sound of various bridges.
The steel components of a bridge transmit the vibrations caused by passing cars or pedestrians in a fascinating manner.
So this library contains the sounds of excited beam barriers, noise barriers, expansion gaps and a lot more steel components that bridges are made of.
Also included are takes of footsteps, rain and wind – ordinary noises that get a certain magic when recorded at a handrail.
To round up this library several high quality AB-stereo ambiences of the acoustical surroundings of bridges are included.

What is LEAKED NOISE? Well, in the case of this sound pack, it is the sound that is somewhat removed from the listener. It might be the people upstairs playing the TV too loud or having a blazing argument. The garage band next door rehearsing their songs, the kid in the basement practicing drums, the one in the house playing piano or the one down the school hall practising flute. In this pack, you will find lots of LEAKED NOISE that might be just right for your project, be it TV, film, radio, video game or theatre.
The Rain & Thunder sound library features 53 files covering different types of rain, from light showers to heavy falls. Files were recorded in different locations, like open space, forest, under the plastic or metal roofs and some experiments like rain recorded inside metal grill or bucket. There are also few thunder recordings, mostly subtle and long ones. It’s 5.31 GB 96kHz pack with total length of 162 minutes.
“Wilderness Americas : Geyser and Volcano” is a collection of sounds focused on geothermal phenomena of Central and North America.
We recorded geysers in the Yellowstone National Park (USA) and two very actives volcanoes: the Fuego in Guatemala, and the Masaya in Nicaragua.
To complete this sound library, we added natural sound elements which are very efficient for sound design as designed sound material:
“Super volcano” eruption sounds, magma lake ebullition sounds, lava movement, and landslide sounds.
The geyser and Masaya volcano sounds (magma lake, lava movement) were recorded with the Telinga Parabola with a Sennheiser MKH 8040. The Telinga was used for its powerful ability to focus on sound details at a reasonable distance.
The explosions and eruptions of the Fuego volcano were recorded in surround with a Sennheiser DMS setup (MKH 8040-30) and also with the Telinga Parabola + MKH 8020.
-This sound bank contains 56 sound takes recorded in 24/96 kHz, and a total of 122 files.
Moscow, Russia in winter and spring time
Streets, covered with melting snow; people, hurrying with their business; street, cleaning from ice; whistling wet traffic; quiet and loud residential neighborhoods; children playing in the snow; windy parks; cold nights and, then, saving spring; water, dropping from the roofs; singing birds and babbling brooks.
How to convey these things without violating their nature?
One of the ways is a stealth binaural recording using miniature microphones DPA 4060. It gave the sense of naturalness and created a presence effect, that you wouldn’t find in any other library about Russia.

This is a small collection of nature sounds and ambiences, captured at the coast of Northland, New Zealand. You can hear many different birds, including the Tui, Bellbird and Barbary Dove. You can also find tracks with lots of very loud and noisy Chorus cicadas. As well as more quiet crickets at night.
All nature recordings are clear and completely free from external noise and other human disruptions, which is why this library will be especially useful for productions taking place in medieval times and nature documentaries. The average length of each file is between 3-5 minutes, so enough time to use in longer scenes without looping. All of these nature ambiences are recorded using three different microphone set-ups. A Stereo set-up. A wide stereo set-up. And a spaced omnis set-up, which also offers extended frequency response. This brings you 3 variations of each recording. Within these variations the differences are sometimes subtle and sometimes more extreme. These three perspectives can provide flexibility for crosscutting within scenes.

Get the sounds of everyday life in Tokyo, Japan. A quiet neighborhood with moderate traffic, birds singing and a dog barking in the distance. Recorded in densely populated, but quiet and civil Setagaya Ward, Tokyo. All files are UCS-compliant.
Sounds include traffic in the form of cars, trucks, lots of bicycles and pedestrians, commuters at Kyodo Station, cicadas at night, Japanese crows cawing, as well as the unmistakable sounds of a Buddhist cemetery in a light breeze (!). In short; just the right sounds to make Japanese suburbia come alive in your productions.
Recorded exclusively using stealth methods (near-concealed microphones), this is a slice of life, as lived by the locals of this rather pleasant middle-class neighborhood.
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
