A collection of gardening related sounds. Most of the sounds, such as digging soil, pruning roses, raking leaves, mowing grass and leaf blowing are recorded in a domestic garden. There are also some larger scale public garden sounds such as wood chipping, a sprinkler and chainsaws and there are also some ambiences of a garden centre store.
All recorded in England.
‘Quiet’ and ‘London’. Not two words that go together very often these days. But now…near empty bus and train stations, a market usually bustling with buyers. Commuter-free trains and tubes, empty streets. For a full list of sounds see the attached excel doc.
A quiet English town in the springtime. Public parks, a gentle flowing river, quiet streets, a young skateboarder rolls up and down. Listen to the forest on the edge of town with tweeting birds and breeze through the trees. No cars are in the car park. The groundskeeper mows the lawn by the bowling green and the water sprinkler inches along the lawn and church bells ring out. 22 ambiences, details of which can be seen in the excel document.
86 sounds of a British mid-size family 2017 1.6 litre manual car. Doors, windows, seat, horn, wipers, glovebox, trunk, hood, driving and more. Nice clean new sounds, recorded in the Summer of 2017.
The Metal Scrap library was recorded at a scrapyard where they do nothing but shredding, cutting, breaking and moving metal of all sorts, all day long.
• Large metallic objects and metal debris being drooped by huge cranes, into and onto various surfaces.
• The end of the Conveyer belt, where the smaller pieces of metal junk fall onto a bigger pile af junk.
• Lots of metallic destruction and impacts, huge and small.
A collection of interior and exterior ambience recordings made in New York, spanning streets and museums, subways and the Staten Island Ferry. Over three hours of urban ambiences recorded using a stereo pair of DPA 4060 omni mics.

The library will help you build exciting and bold backgrounds for any project, whether it be film, TV, radio or games.
The recordings capture the full dynamic range of the city and the characteristic acoustic signature that it imparts to sounds, as well as containing a lot of low end power and mid to high range detail.

Normal, everyday door sounds? Yes – and lots (and lots) of them!
A door opening or closing in a film/tv show/video game can absolutely take you out of the experience if done incorrectly.
At the end of working on Uncharted 4, the last sound I created was a door opening and closing. It was just a normal household door. I couldn't find any good door opening and closing sounds (and creaks…don't get me started). I also didn't have time to go out and record my own source. I was extremely frustrated.
There are a LOT of different types of doors in this world. Most sound libraries try to record ALL varieties of doors. The problem is that you might have a lot of different and unique doors, but only a couple of NORMAL house doors. Or, they just have a couple of NORMAL industrial doors. A sound designer's worst nightmare is lack of variety and choice.
With that in mind, I went on a personal journey to record all the normal doors I could find. I recorded door openings, closings, squeaks and creaks. That's it! I wanted the largest variety of normal house and industrial door openings/closings/creaks/squeaks on the market. For my next projects, I didn't want a door sound getting me frustrated!

• 120+ Doors
• Opening, Closing, Squeaking and Creaking

The Australian bush is something very close to my heart. Most of these recordings were taken on my family's property in Molong NSW.
This collection includes a large number of natural bush ambiences recorded at all times of day. There are plenty of birds, some sheep, turkeys, bees, cicadas, crickets, dogs and chickens. As well as motor vehicles on gravel, chainsaws, campfires, generators, footsteps, and even a wall construction. There is as always some random stuff fin there as well.

The Mopeds SFX library delivers the sounds of no less than 7 different mopeds. The included mopeds range from new and non-modified models, to many characteristic-sounding (old and wrecked) models – as well as one heavily-tuned moped.

The library is a collection of atmosphere recordings of different sized/aged forests during summer time in Eastern and Southern Finland.
In these recordings you can hear a huge variety of birds during different times of the day and also some changes of the weather such as multiple states of the wind.
The library contains 30 files (10 FuMa, 10 AmbiX and 10 Stereo files) captured at 24bit/96kHz. Total length of over 1.5 hours.
B-format files are in FuMa and AmbiX format.
With the free SoundField SurroundZone 2 plugin you can convert the B-format files into your preferred format (stereo, 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, 6.1, 7.0 or 7.1 surround). There's also other plugin options such as Harpex-X.
The library also contains ready-made stereo (ORTF with wide cardioid pattern) mixdowns for your convenience.
These recordings are very raw. Very little or none denoising, EQ or any other processing method was used.
Recorded in Eastern Oregon’s Great Basin and High Desert Region – classic sounds of the American West, forest or desert.
These tracks are stripped highlights from the hundreds of hours of field recordings I use to make my films. A number of them include the birds fluttering and making deep natural calls right next to the recorder – about as close as you can hope to get of birds in the wild.

A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
