African Desert is a collection of immersive stereo soundscapes recorded in the remotest parts of the Namib desert. It covers a variety of locations, from sand dunes and canyons to desert pavement and rocky outcrops. Subjects include sand movement recorded with hydrophones, soft to medium wind blowing over the surface of the dunes, and insects, birds and reptiles creating a sparse ambience full of minute detail.
The purpose of this collection is to portray the soundscape of the Namib desert in all its sparseness and beauty. Some of these recordings are not much more than very soft wind. A few of the included soundscapes feature sand being blown over the surface of dunes. There’s a variety of wildlife calls too, from insects like cicadas, crickets or flies to barking geckos and occasional birds. This is not a wildlife library though, as the focus is more on the lifeless beauty of this mostly barren landscape.

This library was made for the small stuff. I have always had a hard time finding small fire sounds. I work mostly in games, and trying to find a small fireplace sound, or torches on the wall in a castle, or perhaps a candle or oil lamp sound, are impossible to find in commercial libraries! I've always been unhappy with what I had to make for those elements. So, I went to work getting small and delicate fire sounds.
It took multiple field recording trips using a variety of different materials to find the best small fire sounds. Finally, after a lot of hard work (and smoke to the lungs), here is the Small Fire SFX Library!

A hell spawned collection of powerful zombie vocals; Guttural grunts, growls, bites, snarls, roars and screeches to cover nearly every zombie vocal need!
It’s been four long years since ShotgunMike’s The Undead was unleashed upon the unsuspecting sound community, leaving a trail of bloody sound designers in it’s wake. Well now they’re back in The Undead 2 and they’re bigger, angrier and hungrier than ever!
Based upon ShotgunMike’s extensive experience in game and cinematic sound design, The Undead 2 is a much larger collection of less defined but more varied powerful zombie vocals. Guttural grunts, growls, bites, snarls, roars and screeches to cover nearly every zombie vocal need. Things have been kept simple, rather than individual assets what you’ll find in this library is larger files defined by their intensity, vocal type and length, which will make editing and creating variations much easier. It also includes zombie hoard soundscapes in varying locations, including urban, interiors and tunnels.
So why less defined assets? Over the last four years since the release of the first The Undead library, ShotgunMike has worked on a lot of in game audio and cinematics, and it’s predominantly not pre-defined or over designed material he’s reached for when crafting the sounds of creatures (or anything else for that matter), it’s often texture, tonality, movement and intensity. To that end, making more varied content for The Undead 2 without putting too many labels on them will give sound designers and editors more choice and flexibility when designing their own creature vocals. With over 600 assets, including zombie hoard soundscapes, this library is full of the kind of material that will add power and aggression to zombies, trolls, ogres, orcs, vampires and any other hell spawned creature you can think of!

Captured in First Order Ambisonic and available n both FuMa and ambiX order and weighting.
Audiobeast is proud to present our second sample library; the only library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in urban environments! For this recording session we were given access to a military training site known as a FIBUA (Fighting In Built-Up Area) consisting of streets with a variety of buildings, vehicles, and exclusive permission to fire weapons in several locations. Pictures of the street and gas station locations and firing points are included.
The aim of this library was to offer the slapback type tails needed for gun sound design for convincing city scenes in film, games and tv production. It’s always been difficult to find gun recordings in a city environment so we hope this library helps sound people everywhere.
This Library contains over 3 GBs of weapons being fired in multiple urban environments, a street, outside of a gas station and inside of a tower block. 218 WAV files of single shots, bursts and many with multiple takes, all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.
Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the street 100 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned around corners, a nearby graveyard, through walls and in armored vehicles to capture a variety of perspectives.
Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
If you need a wider selection of interior gun recordings please check out our first library – The London Warehouse Firearms library
This library has the aim of bringing ultra high quality malleable materials for sound designers with extensive organic variations in the realm of horror/gore.

Each file has a great amount a variations of the same sound.
In the meantime, the extensive frequency range provided by the Sanken co-100k and the Sennheiser MKH-series microphones allows extreme pitch-shifting.

The sounds have been manipulated with extreme editing and digital processing – leaving little to no trace of the original recordings behind – to bring a series of production elements ready to drop into your latest trailer, environment or Industrial/EDM music production. Featuring huge sonic eruptions, metal on metal collisions, robotic movement, found sound snare drums, tech debris and more, this versatile array of sound effects may be just what you need to give your latest production that extra bit of Impact.

Inspired by the ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) community, this collection includes 43 mono/stereo pairs of whispers, scratches, taps, rubs, breathing, buzzing, and more. The general goal of ASMR is to induce a bodily response from the auditory stimuli, much like a shiver, chill, or euphoric wave. From an auditory perspective, this is usually approached by using delicate, intimate sounds in a repetitive manner; known as ‘triggers’.
The files are all loopable, averaging ~2’20” in length, so you can leave them on repeat for a continuous ASMR experience. This also allows a sound designer to drop them into any environment where they need an indiscernible loop. The mono+stereo pairing allows for creating the appropriate stereo spread (or eliminating it all together) that a particular event requires. For some of the more common triggers, we provided a few variations.
Definitely intending to be a unique addition to your sonic anthology, this library will provide you with hours of evocative ear candy.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
