Mechanical Sound Effects

  • The Master Gun AK-47 (Type-56) Sound Effects library is recorded using a large array of various microphone configurations, we recorded shots from several distances in an open shooting range in the Nevada Desert.

    Raw Recordings

Our raw shots features a total of 20 channels including 10 Stereo sources. All of our close and mid spaced pair Microphone options can be used as two independent mono microphones. The right side of every spaced pair will have more Mech than its left side counterpart.
Every single gun has been recorded using the same gain settings on the same recorders, and we have level matched each microphone option between the same calibers so your 50ft microphones will be the same or similar across all libraries that share the same calibers. This makes mixing large amounts of weapons easier as the loudness and character of each gun is predictable.

Our foley features a total of a stereo A/B pair of Neumann KMR81i mts which are placed on both the left and right of the gun. All of the foley has been recorded at 192kHz for extreme processing workflows.

    Designed Mixes

Created from the ground up we’ve designed a collection of game-ready mixes for your next project. If you are creating your own custom weapons system and would like to use our designed mixes in your project, you can use our no-tail options which are our realistic designed mixes without our tail layers. Just drag, and drop.

    UCS compatible metadata embedded

All files contain extensive metadata to provide you with the fastest and easiest workflow possible. Metadata can be read and processed by audio management tools. Some digital audio workstations feature an included search tool that can also read embedded metadata.

  • The Master Gun Kel Tek KSG Sound Effects library is recorded using a large array of various microphone configurations, we recorded shots from several distances in an open shooting range in the Nevada Desert.

    Suppressed Recordings

In addition to the unsuppressed shot recordings, we’ve also sampled the Kel Tek KSG with a suppressor attachment. The suppressed Kel Tek KSG was sampled right after the unsuppressed recordings using the exact same microphone setup as the unsuppressed version. This provides you a seamless transition between the unsuppressed and the suppressed recordings.
The suppressed recordings also have the added benefit of muting the shot layers which helps bring out the intricate details of the mechanism (mech layers).
Because adding a suppressor to the firearm increases the weapons muzzle velocity, the fire rate of the suppressed weapon is slightly faster than its unsuppressed counterpart.

  • City Life Sound Effects Telephone Booths Play Track 54 sounds included, 103 mins total $19.99

Telephone Booths features the sounds of indoor wooden and outdoor aluminum telephone booths. From the early 20th century until the last decade, these booths could be found inside hotels, restaurants, offices, state capitol buildings, highways and rest areas throughout the United States. In addition, the library includes sounds of pay telephones that would have been used inside these booths. These include hand crank, 3-slot rotary and 1-slot push-button Touch-Tone telephones.

I used a variety of microphones along with several miking techniques (X/Y, OFTF, and binaural). You’ll hear bi-fold doors sliding open and closed in stereo, sometimes accompanied by an annoying squeal. You’ll listen to coins being dropped into the phone and receivers being picked up and placed back on their cradles. And of course, you’ll hear numbers being dialed. On a rotary phone, each number takes slightly longer to circle the dial, with one being the shortest and zero being the longest.

  • The “Vintage Camera” sound set is based on a detailed, high-quality recording of the Zenit ET film, vintage camera.

  • Rowing Machine. You’ve seen them at the gym, this one is the fancier one.

The library consists of a variety of recordings – different mic positioning, and different rowing speeds. Also, single rows and a few sound effects of the seat rolling up and down and feet hitting the board.

    Metadata is UCS compliant. Enjoy.

  • 80 beeps – 30 long and 50 short, recorded on various devices and machines and designed for this library. Don’t play them too loud! The library is also available in UCS.

  • All files are recorded 32bit, 192 kHz, with RØDE NTG1, Line Audio Omni1, FEL Clippy XLR EM272 and JrF C-Series Pro+ microphones, Sound Devices MixPre-6 II recorder. Library contains wav files of driving, interior and exterior foley, mechanical and electrical sounds. It is also available in UCS.
  • Mid 20th Century UK payphone, dialling, coin insertion, button presses, receiver up and down and more.

  • City Life Sound Effects FRL. Ultimate. Surround Play Track 679 sounds included, 2042 mins total $500

Field Recording Library proudly presents Ultimate – a collection that combines the finest recordings from the Kaleidoscope, Vol. 1, and Vol. 2 libraries. This comprehensive archive spans three years of dedicated work, capturing the rich and diverse soundscapes of Russia – from the awakening of nature in spring to the crisp chill of autumn.

Kaleidoscope offers an extensive selection of atmospheric recordings made between 2022 and 2023. The library takes you to various locations, from serene forests and quiet courtyards to bustling highways and vibrant city squares. These recordings, presented in 48kHz, provide a versatile foundation for any audiovisual project, delivering vivid and realistic soundscapes.

Vol. 1 raises the bar in sound quality, featuring recordings in 96kHz, 24Bit for unmatched detail. Dedicated to the sounds of Russia and St. Petersburg from early spring to late summer, this library introduces extended ambient recordings up to 20 minutes. These long-form tracks offer greater flexibility in selecting and combining textures, making it easier to create custom atmospheres.

Vol. 2 focuses on the autumn soundscapes of St. Petersburg and its surroundings. From the warm days of September to the damp chill of November, this library showcases urban and natural soundscapes in various weather and time conditions. The highlight of this collection is the addition of extra channels, synchronized with the main recordings. These channels reveal new dimensions, such as underwater waves captured with a hydrophone or hidden textures recorded with contact microphones and geophones. Like Vol. 1, these recordings are presented in 96kHz, 24Bit, making them a professional-grade tool for sound design.

Ultimate combines variety and versatility in one package. This collection is perfect for any project – from crafting immersive atmospheres for films, games, and advertisements to developing unique sound layers. It’s the ideal choice for anyone looking to dive into the world of Field Recording Library and gain access to the full spectrum of soundscapes in one comprehensive set.

  • Audiobeast is proud to present our second sample library; the only library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in urban environments!  For this recording session we were given access to a military training site known as a FIBUA (Fighting In Built-Up Area) consisting of streets with a variety of buildings, vehicles, and exclusive permission to fire weapons in several locations.  Pictures of the street and gas station locations and firing points are included.

The aim of this library was to offer the slapback type tails needed for gun sound design for convincing city scenes in film, games and tv production.  It’s always been difficult to find gun recordings in a city environment so we hope this library helps sound people everywhere.

This Library contains over 3 GBs of weapons being fired in multiple urban environments, a street, outside of a gas station and inside of a tower block. 218 WAV files of single shots, bursts and many with multiple takes, all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.

Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the street 100 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned around corners, a nearby graveyard, through walls and in armored vehicles to capture a variety of perspectives.

Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.

If you need a wider selection of interior gun recordings please check out our first library – The London Warehouse Firearms library
