Materials & Texture Sound Effects

Sound effects and recordings of various surfaces, textures, objects and elements – soft, hard, organic, wooden, stone, metallic and lots more

  • The Master Gun Barrett M99 Sound Effects library is recorded using a large array of various microphone configurations, we recorded shots from several distances in an open shooting range in the Nevada Desert.

    Raw Recordings

Our raw shots features a total of 20 channels including 10 Stereo sources. All of our close and mid spaced pair Microphone options can be used as two independent mono microphones. The right side of every spaced pair will have more Mech than its left side counterpart.
Every single gun has been recorded using the same gain settings on the same recorders, and we have level matched each microphone option between the same calibers so your 50ft microphones will be the same or similar across all libraries that share the same calibers. This makes mixing large amounts of weapons easier as the loudness and character of each gun is predictable.

Our foley features a total of a stereo A/B pair of Neumann KMR81i mts which are placed on both the left and right of the gun. All of the foley has been recorded at 192kHz for extreme processing workflows.

    Designed Mixes

Created from the ground up we’ve designed a collection of game-ready mixes for your next project. If you are creating your own custom weapons system and would like to use our designed mixes in your project, you can use our no-tail options which are our realistic designed mixes without our tail layers. Just drag, and drop.

    UCS compatible metadata embedded

All files contain extensive metadata to provide you with the fastest and easiest workflow possible. Metadata can be read and processed by audio management tools. Some digital audio workstations feature an included search tool that can also read embedded metadata.

  • The Master Gun VHS-2 Sound Effects library is recorded using a large array of various microphone configurations, we recorded shots from several distances in an open shooting range in the Nevada Desert.

    Suppressed Recordings

In addition to the unsuppressed shot recordings, we’ve also sampled the VHS-2 with a suppressor attachment. The suppressed VHS-2 was sampled right after the unsuppressed recordings using the exact same microphone setup as the unsuppressed version. This provides you a seamless transition between the unsuppressed and the suppressed recordings.
The suppressed recordings also have the added benefit of muting the shot layers which helps bring out the intricate details of the mechanism (mech layers).
Because adding a suppressor to the firearm increases the weapons muzzle velocity, the fire rate of the suppressed weapon is slightly faster than its unsuppressed counterpart.

  • City Life Sound Effects FRL. Ultimate. Stereo Play Track 786 sounds included, 2160 mins total $250

Field Recording Library proudly presents Ultimate – a collection that combines the finest recordings from the Kaleidoscope, Vol. 1, and Vol. 2 libraries. This comprehensive archive spans three years of dedicated work, capturing the rich and diverse soundscapes of Russia – from the awakening of nature in spring to the crisp chill of autumn.

Kaleidoscope offers an extensive selection of atmospheric recordings made between 2022 and 2023. The library takes you to various locations, from serene forests and quiet courtyards to bustling highways and vibrant city squares. These recordings, presented in 48kHz, provide a versatile foundation for any audiovisual project, delivering vivid and realistic soundscapes.

Vol. 1 raises the bar in sound quality, featuring recordings in 96kHz, 24Bit for unmatched detail. Dedicated to the sounds of Russia and St. Petersburg from early spring to late summer, this library introduces extended ambient recordings up to 20 minutes. These long-form tracks offer greater flexibility in selecting and combining textures, making it easier to create custom atmospheres.

Vol. 2 focuses on the autumn soundscapes of St. Petersburg and its surroundings. From the warm days of September to the damp chill of November, this library showcases urban and natural soundscapes in various weather and time conditions. The highlight of this collection is the addition of extra channels, synchronized with the main recordings. These channels reveal new dimensions, such as underwater waves captured with a hydrophone or hidden textures recorded with contact microphones and geophones. Like Vol. 1, these recordings are presented in 96kHz, 24Bit, making them a professional-grade tool for sound design.

Ultimate combines variety and versatility in one package. This collection is perfect for any project – from crafting immersive atmospheres for films, games, and advertisements to developing unique sound layers. It’s the ideal choice for anyone looking to dive into the world of Field Recording Library and gain access to the full spectrum of soundscapes in one comprehensive set.

  • City Life Sound Effects FRL. Vol. 2. Stereo Play Track 236 sounds included, 660 mins total $100

Field Recording Library proudly presents Vol. 2 – a sound library entirely dedicated to the autumn soundscapes of St. Petersburg and its surroundings. From the golden warmth of early September to the damp chill of late November, this collection captures the full spectrum of autumn’s auditory landscapes.

The library includes urban soundscapes recorded in diverse conditions: bustling streets under the rain, quiet parks with the rustle of fallen leaves, echoes of conversations in autumn courtyards, and much more. Each recording immerses you in the heart of the moment, bringing the character of the season to life.

What sets Vol. 2 apart are the unique recordings that didn’t make it into the first two libraries. These exclusive materials enrich and expand the collection, making it even more versatile and inspiring.

The main microphone, the Nevaton MC50, ensures pristine and detailed sound quality, while the recordings’ 96kHz and 24Bit format meet the highest professional standards.

A major innovation in Vol. 2 is the addition of extra channels. These synchronized recordings provide new dimensions to the sound. For example, alongside the sound of river waves, you can hear their underwater counterpart captured with a hydrophone or feel the earth’s subtle vibrations through a geophone. Contact microphones and other specialized devices reveal hidden textures and details that were previously inaudible.

Vol. 2 is more than a sound library – it’s a tool for creating atmospheres that truly come alive, drawing you into every sound. Perfect for films, games, sound design, and any project that requires rich, immersive audio. New horizons of autumn sound are here!

  • Drones & Mood Sound Effects Electromagnetic Fields Play Track 163+ sounds included, 135 mins total $35

Evocative Sound and Visuals is pleased to announce the release of Electromagnetic Fields. This library contains 163 meticulously crafted and mastered sounds from 68 devices and structures captured in high-quality stereo with a Sony PCM D100 recorder and two small induction coil microphones. Included are hums, drones, beeps, bleeps, buzzes, glitches, pulses, static and more strange sounds I cannot describe.

With few exceptions, we mere mortals can’t hear the electromagnetic fields (EMF) surrounding us. If we could, we’d go crazy, especially in our ever-expanding electronic environment. We can tune our ears into this other sonic world using induction coil microphones. I never knew quite what to expect when placing mics on an object. Having two microphones with fairly long cables allowed me to find the most sonically interesting parts of an object to focus on. Two mics spaced apart also allow for a nice stereo spread.

Have fun experimenting with and inserting these hi-tech sounds (some captured in 96kHz/24-bit and others in 192kHz/24-bit) into your next science fiction and otherworldly creations. Please don’t take the device’s sound literally. That SLR’s motor drive may just be your next rapid-fire laser cannon.

  • Environments & Ambiences Trains In Italy Play Track 64 sounds included, 202 mins total $32

This library presents diverse means of rail transport in Italy. I recorded it in 2020, but some trains were decades old. In these you’ll find warm sounds of old electric motors, as well as creaking, rattling, squeaking and rumbling of their weathered bodies.

In some files you’ll hear some conversations of various intensity, as well as announcements in Italian and English, in foreground or background. Some of them are about covid restrictions, masks etc., but usually just station names.

In addition to 53 files with onboard sounds you get 11 files with ambiences from stations – indoor and outdoor, busy and desolate, with or without PA announcements.

The onboard sounds are made in 10 types of rail transport:
