DR-1 Bad Grounds is a sample based synthesizer for Kontakt 6.2.2, built upon mains hum sounds. Although it was originally designed to create drones and soundscapes, it has also more general sound design capabilities like a real synthesizer.
The main controls of the instrument resemble those of a classic subtractive synthesizer: a multimode filter, volume envelope, filter envelope, 2 LFOs for volume and filter modulation, insert and send effects. Moreover, some additional advanced features are included, which take advantage of the Kontakt built-in granular engine for sample playback, for deeper sound manipulation.
There are 6 main instruments available, 3 for each sample used. In addition, several preset patches are provided with each instrument.

Geophonic Design Vol. 3 features an eclectic array of designed sound effects, built from organic sources with infrasonic frequencies that go all the way down to 10Hz. This library has an abstract aesthetic and gives you a wide and varied palette of unique sounds that are perfect for injecting a little movement into your film, video game or documentary projects.
To create the sounds in this library, Our Audio Craftsmen used a ‘Geophone’ which is a seismic measurement device used to record seismic waves and vibrations of the earth. With the Geophone, we recorded low vibrations, hits and interactions of wood, metal, trees, soil, clay and other natural ingredients. You can expect to find a wide selection of unique ambiences, as well as an assortment of warm subsonic hits and dynamic movements and whooshes.
All of the included sounds were then precisely edited and designed by our dedicated in house team to build ambiences such as boulder movement, metal ghost voices, spirits calling, subsonic water texture, tree bark connection wind interference and many more. In addition, all the files are available in 24Bit 96kHz with extensive metadata and are UCS compliant to integrate seamlessly with your workflow.
The sounds will also make a great addition to your library as layered textures, to build a designed atmosphere in your projects, and are perfect as drones and ambiences for futuristic, sci-fi and horror scenes.
This sound library contains 546 files with 273+ unique sounds of impact, breaks and debris of ceramics, glass and various metal objects. All sounds are recorded at 24 bit / 96 kHz using 2 microphones, the Diety S-Mic 2 and the Sennheiser MKE 600. All sounds are named acording to the metadata standard “UCS”.
Resonant metal impacts with movement. There is both microphone movement and swinging metal movement. In addition there are AMBISONICS recordings of the same. Great big pieces of metal being hit to produce resonant tones that then are moved in relation to the microphones. Lots of swinging metal and ringing effects. Also some great objects that resonate almost musically. Perfect for magical weapon movement.

We are surrounded by electromagnetic fields at all time. Every electrical device is a different source of these waves, but we usually don’t see or hear them. With modern capture equipment, we can record these fields in an audible range for the human ear; Opening doors to a world of fascinating and weird sounds.
We went capturing various appliances and electrical gadgets around the house. We collected incredible noises with many glitches, hum, crackles… These are great source of abstract, processing data, futuristic or broken technology. And featuring detailed stereophonic moving images, it makes a great fit to create sophisticated modern sound design.
This sound library is part of the Complete Craig Carter Collection, containing a wide range of industrial ambience recordings.

The “Cedar” library series is a collection of libraries, comprised of three different instruments:
– Ponticello (the present one)
– Sul Tasto
– Bizzarro
Each volume is a single Kontakt instrument with a peculiar timbral personality. The entire series is created recording sounds from a luthier classical guitar. They can be used for composing and producing purposes – like an acoustic percussion setup – as well as for soundtrack composition and sound design in films, video games and any other multimedia product. “Ponticello” and “Sul Tasto” also feature a dedicated effects page that can be used to process the sounds in the library with several processors, both send and insert effects. They are “percussion oriented” sounds, while “Bizzarro” is a keyboard instrument.
Introduction to “Ponticello”
The instrument contains 10 sets of sounds, called “Engines”. Each set has a dedicated channel strip in the interface and can be processed with a dedicated sub-page. You can also choose an individual audio output for further processing in your favorite DAW with effect plugins of your choice. Each sound has been recorded with two different mic placements, and you can mix them to your taste.
Data Processing is a sound effects library that emulates the movement of data and adds digital texture to your sound design.
Use these effects as building blocks to build digital, robotic, harsh, abstract and glitchy sound design or music. Also great as user interface elements.
We recorded and designed data transfer from 5G, WIFI, Solid State Drives, USB-C and more, as well as using analogue synthesizers, guitar pedals and raw data files to enhance the library.
The second library in the ‘Glassware Resonance’ series brings you more high quality glass ring and clink sounds to enrich the audio of your next project.
‘Glassware Resonance Two’ nicely compliments the first ‘Glassware Resonance‘ library by adding 22 new glass objects – closely recorded in a quiet room with the Sony D100 handheld recorder.
These sounds are really useful when you want to add that high-frequency impact layer to your user interface elements, or even experiment with the tail sounds to create otherworldly drone ambiences.
You get the sounds in both 24 bit / 96kHz + in 16 bit / 44 kHz for more convenient ways of utilizing the sounds in games and other media.
Don’t forget to check out the ‘Glassware Resonance Bundle’ which gives you both of the libraries with a special bundle discount price!

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
