User interface (UI) sound effects and interaction sound elements and components
Are you looking for a dark-sounding user interface sound library? Something that calls back to movies like Prometheus or Oblivion? Then look no further. This library is made for sci-fi films and games, with its futuristic loops, drones, transitions, buttons, glitches and plenty more. These are the sounds that can flesh out the advanced technology in your spacecraft's cabin as it wanders deep in the outer limits of the universe.
The first in a series of Game & UI Interface sound effects brings you unique button clicks, hits, movements and special sounds perfect for apps, games or animations. All sounds have been meta tagged so they'll be easily searchable in Soundminer, ready to use.
3 mic perspectives give full coverage on an antique typewriter in good working condition. The typewriter had a loose front plate and we clacked, hit and dropped it for a wide range of cool typewritery sounds. The Kontakt instrument presets requires the full version of NI Kontakt 4.2.3 or later.
Glistening bursts of ear candy from Async Audio. Ideal for UI sounds, item sounds, or to add some sparkle to your next project.

Transitions 003 brings you even more specially crafted sounds for all your animation, game or film post production needs. Each sound has been carefully created using a variety of processing plugins and techniques to give you an arsenal of unique FX to use in your next productions. All files have been meta tagged so they'll be easily searchable in Soundminer.
The Squelch sound library is a collection of 6 radios, walkie talkies, and CBs recorded both through the speakers and in some cases through the line outs. Each device served up a broad palette of static, beeps, clicks, squelches, and random idle chatter.
Comes with 93 recordings with hundreds of individual sounds + one Kontakt instrument (instrument requires the full version of NI Kontakt 4 or higher).
The Kontakt instrument is a unique performable radio device designed for experimentation and discovery of the broad palette of sounds. It also includes a classic spring reverb unit with a custom interface created from a Pioneer SR202W. See the Kontakt interface here.
These authentic radio recordings are useful in sound design/film applications and can be twisted out into musical and sound design effects.
BREAKDOWN ELEMENTS | A bold collection of sound effects for visual effects breakdowns.
Our objective was to create a unique and easy-to-use selection of sound effects that takes an entirely different approach to cliche synthesized sci-fi sound effects.
The majority of elements have originated from organic field recordings that have been elegantly manipulated into a wild new form, achieving a natural, physical vibe for each sound.
The collection is structured into eight categories: BED, BUILD, IMPACT, INTERFERENCE, REWIND, RISER, TRANSITION and WHOOSH. Each element has been designed to work both by itself or layered to produce more complex textures. Additionally, each element has 4-6 variations to maximise versatility.
All sounds are royalty free and equipped with comprehensive Soundminer metadata for rapid access.
This library is loaded with some beefy, old-school, mechanical interfacing: buttons, switches, knobs and levers.
TEXTROBOT is a NI Kontakt instrument designed to help you in the sound design of UIÂ sounds and to produce retriggered samples for VFX text animations.
All 165 sounds are easily accessible using a MIDI master keyboard from the first octave. You can choose a category to load a set of samples and play it manually, or in the retriggered way (if active) by holding down the note. The full version of NI Kontakt is required to use this library.

Cassette Deck is a set of sounds collected from a small group of analog cassette players. It’s filled with great mechanical buttons and switches, latches, a few motors at different speeds, and multiple microphones/perspectives per take. Great if you’re building some mechanical interfaces!
Virtual UI is a library of over 500 high-tech user interface sounds. Using a combination of digital and analogue gear, sound designer Daniel Mumford has created super-usable wipes, beeps, notifications, menus, power-ups and downs, errors, buttons, data, malfunctions, switches, alarms, atmospheres and drones.
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
