Discover over 1,000 robotic UI and HUD sound effects, each meticulously crafted using state-of-the-art synthesizers, analogue and digital equipment. These sounds have been carefully mastered and edited to ensure seamless integration into your projects.
In addition to the sound effects, ACTIVATION 2 includes about 1000 UI voices, covering everything from the alphabet, numbers and phrases to simple words. Including phrases and words such as “Artificial Intelligence”, “All systems up and running”, “projection”, practical commands such as “save”, “load” and “exit”, as well as directions (up, down, left, right) and date and time cues. ACTIVATION 2 meets the nuanced needs of your UI design. Each phrase or word is available in two different voice styles.
Whether you’re working on games, mobile applications, web design or any other project that requires a rich UI experience, ACTIVATION 2 is a comprehensive and versatile sound library that can stand alone or complement your existing sound resources.
ACTIVATION 2 file names and metadata follows the Universal Category System (UCS).
The ACTIVATION Sound Library features more than 1,100 sounds. The futuristic and electronic sound effects are especially useful when it comes to creating user interfaces (UIs), head-up displays (HUDs), games and video animations.
The ACTIVATION Sound Library offers 12 categories, granting easy access to a variety of sounds — alerts, beeps, bells, buttons, clicks, counter sounds and many more.
The sounds provided by the ACTIVATION Sound Library have been carefully produced, selected, edited and tested.
The ACTIVATION Sound Library offers a great variety. The sounds are based on analog and digital synthesizers, guitar effects units, professional software as well as a modular synthesizer rack.
This library was created to provide designers with drag and drop sounds for sweeps, fades, surges, swells, and other embellishments. Each of the sounds in this collection were designed to be used to heighten events, but they can be mashed, stacked, and chopped to create all sorts of eclectic designs. There are plays on musical concepts as well as thematic events, with each sound purposefully building up, culminating in a peak moment, and then dissipating in some way. They are organized into 100 families (designs) with 5 variations each, ranging wildly in topic, movement, duration, dynamics, attack, release, loudness, density, and speed. Some are natural and organic while others are completely rigid and synthetic (and some fall variably in between).
If you need to festoon the heck out of a scene or event in your project…If you need some complex SFX designs craftily layered and ready-to-go…If you need a diverse set of easy-to-tweak, overflowing sonic enrichment, then look no further. You’ve found it.

CYBESPHERE is an extensive collection of 340 meticulously crafted UI/HUD sound effects. This library stands out with its unique blend of classic analog and FM synthesis, alongside multi-layered, experimental one-shots and sequences. What sets CYBESPHERE apart is its focus on gritty, analog-style sound effects, diverging from the typical high-tech, polished UI audio. These sounds evoke a more organic feel.
The collection features a diverse range of UI/HUD elements, including beeps, alarms, computational sounds, opening and closing effects, glitches, and more. Each effect has been thoughtfully designed using both hardware and software.

What if we’ll take a shortwave radio receiver and turn its output into to a variety of sound effects?
The result will be not only a set of dark, dirty, noisy and distorted effects, but also subtle, deep atmospheres and even some kind of melodic sounds!
This library is extremely versatile and not focusing on individual types of sound effects.
Here you’ll find distant radio transmissions, strange modulated voices, whine and static, but also designed atmospheres that can be used as interiors of spaceships, machinery or computer rooms, whooshes, passbys, textures, transformations, alien voices, stutters, morphing effects, granular clouds, risers, UI, impacts and much more that you may need when working with trailers, music, game sound or movies.
But that’s not all, as it turned out it’s even possible to make melodic sounds out of these noisy soundscapes!
Try this library and you’ll be happy to add such a unique audio source to your SFX arsenal!
Equipment used: Evaton RF Nomad eurorack module, Sound Devices MixPre 6
Main features:
– 457 sound effects and ambiences made from a eurorack shortwave radio receiver

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
