Field Recording Library presents its new sound library – Vol. 1. This collection continues the tradition of high-quality field recordings, now with even higher standards and a focus on the unique sounds of Russia, particularly St. Petersburg.
All materials were recorded using 96kHz, 24Bit parameters, meeting global standards for professional sound libraries. This ensures maximum detail and clarity, capturing every nuance and texture of the environment.
The collection is entirely dedicated to the sounds of Russia and St. Petersburg. It includes both urban and natural ambient recordings, allowing users to convey the unique atmosphere of Russian life.
Another significant addition is the longer ambient recordings, which now reach up to 20 minutes. This enables users to find the best fragments and create more complex sound combinations for their projects.
Vol. 1 was developed with feedback from the first library, Kaleidoscope, in mind. This allowed for improved structure and content, making the library even more convenient and valuable for professional use.
All recordings were made between early spring and late summer 2023, making Vol. 1 especially suited for projects set in these seasons and currently in post-production.
Additionally, the sounds from this library can be used as layers to create custom atmospheres that aren’t tied to Russia specifically. These versatile recordings are ideal for blending into various soundscapes and crafting unique audio environments.
This library is an excellent tool for creating vivid and immersive soundscapes in film, games, television, and other media formats, bringing audiences into the unique sonic world of Russia while offering the flexibility to shape your own sound environments.

Introducing, Vaults, Safes, Keys and Locks. This library contains sounds of massive steel-doored vaults slamming shut, plus a wide variety of safes, keys and locks. The California Grassland Bundle includes two Libraries, California Grassland Abandoned and California Grassland Wildlife. The recordings from this library mostly took place in The Carrizo Plain, an open expanse of Grassland located West of the Mojave Desert in California’s Central Valley.
California Grassland Abandoned recordings feature dilapidated remnants of old ranches, water tanks, barns, metal sheds, farm machinery, and corrals. Many of these were far off the beaten path and a number of miles were logged along dirt and gravel roads. The focus was to record things that had a lot of character. Also included are calm, medium, and higher winds in metal sheds, small houses, barns, tall dry grass, and in some exterior locations out in the Plain.
California Grassland Wildlife features of over 30 different species of birds that can be found in Grassland, Plains, and High Desert Environments. Also included are a few recordings of Coyotes, Grasshoppers, Insects, along with some quieter ambiences.
At first glance, one wouldn’t think there’d be much wildlife out in such a vast remote area, but I discovered the Grassland has quite a bit going on. A lot of the old structures, along with the few areas with trees become the resting place and shelters for birds and animals. Over a span of two years I made a number of trips to this location trying to capture as much of the local wildlife as I could.
More info on both libraries can be found by clicking on the Individual links.

Also included are the old doors, hood, switches, wipers and roll up windows.

Beautiful Bells Vol 2 contains the solo sound of 135 different stationary bells, captured in 39 bell towers, chapels, carillons, churches, cathedrals and clock towers across France, with unprecedented quality. Most of the sounds were recorded inside bell towers.
Stationary bells are struck by external hammers. They have a steady and rich tone, with a long sustain. They are mostly used as musical instruments in carillons, to indicate the hour in clock chimes or to alert the population in tocsins.
Every bell size and pitch is represented in this library, from huge 8 ton bourdon to tiny carillon bells weighing a few kilograms. You will find bells founded from 14th to 21st century with a great variety of timbres and tunings, over a range of 5 octaves (from G2 to G7).
The library contains 2 carillons with 54 bells and 10 bells, available as sound files and virtual instruments (NI Kontakt and EXS24 with round robin).
All the sounds in this library were recorded in bell towers or as close as possible to provide great sonic precision and optimal signal-to-noise ratio.
Over 12,000 kilometers were traveled during six months to get you one of the most exhaustive stationary bell, chime and carillon sound collection ever recorded.

Kaleidoscope is the first library of the project. It includes field recordings of various categories made in 2022-2023. All files are standardized according to the UCS system. The library features various atmospheric recordings immersing listeners into specific vivid and deep states.
Working on this library was very challenging personally for me. It took over a year to perfect it. It was difficult to remember where each recording was from and why I made it in the first place. Sometimes, photos from the locations helped, where I had to dig deep into my memory and listen to the recordings multiple times.
Kaleidoscope is a collection of disparate recordings united by one idea – to capture the here and now. From the clicks of waves resonating in the concrete confines of an abandoned duct to the atmosphere of an empty hotel room, from rain drumming on a metal canopy to sliding crystals in icy voids. The library is presented in two versions – stereo and spatial (5.0). Everything was recorded on the incredible Nevaton MS50 microphone in quad and DMS modes

Using a large array of various microphone configurations, we recorded shots from several distances in an open shooting range near Warsaw. We then moved to our studio to capture an extensive range of foley, including mag in and out, chamber cycles, selector switches, trigger actions and more.
This library also comes with carefully designed assets in stereo and 5.1, created from our raw files. It includes powerful shots, 3 meticulously crafted types of tails (Wide, Urban and Interior) and punchy foleys.
Multiple mic perspectives
The raw shots feature a total of 16 recording positions, from shooter perspective up to 80 meters, with a total of 25 channels. Among these you will find high SPL microphones attached to the weapons for mech sounds, CO-100k for ultrasonic content, large-diaphragm microphone close to the ground for punchy low ends, ambisonic perspective and much more! We also recorded the foley with multiple microphones, including a CO-100k for drastic pitch changes.
Designed and Game Ready assets
The library also includes “game ready assets”, which are edited versions of our designed sounds, with individual variations allowing easy implementation into your game engine or audio middleware.

Every now and then an opportunity comes along that you just cannot pass up. The chance of going on a recording trip to Zimbabwe alongside someone who knows the area and many locals was exactly that.
I traveled to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe in August of 2023. As the dry season and the coldest time of year was still in full swing, the land is dry, and animals travel long distances to reach watering holes and rivers to drink. With the trees dried out and few insects in sight, the soundscape across the steppes is eerily quiet day and night, save for the large number of helicopters flying tourists around during the day.
Not only was it an utterly inspiring experience just taking in the beauty of nature and the warm spirits of the people I have met, it was also an exercise in navigating the challenges of anthropogenic noise becoming more prevalent around the globe. With this time of year being the height of tourism season, capturing the sounds of nature meant having to find pockets of silence to avoid the sounds of helicopters, safari trucks, and trains carrying coal.
By resorting to drop rigs, overnight recording, and getting up before sunrise to record, I captured a wide range of birds, mammals, and ambiences that will let you recreate the soundscapes of this vivid nation in your projects. Of course, I also had to capture the incredible majestic power of Victoria Falls’ namesake waterfalls, both in stereo and Ambisonic format.
A portion of the sales proceeds for this library will be donated to local conservation efforts including Painted Dog Rescue, African Wildlife Foundation, as well as CARE‘s efforts in providing food and nutrition security, climate resilient livelihoods, economic development, education, and water.
