Ambiences from Poland is a collection of sounds recorded over winter in two major cities in Poland – Poznan and Warsaw (the capital). This library is very close to my heart, as Poland is where I was born and grew up, so I hope you enjoy it! Poznan and Warsaw are full of unusual sounds created by old and modern electric trams that are very popular amongst locals and visitors. Pay specific attention as old trams generate heavy rumbles, cracks and squeaks while modern trams generate futuristic soundscapes when they move. Apart from that, you will have a chance to immerse yourself in Polish urban environments, public places such as schools, churches, shopping centres and some residential areas.
This expansive library is compliant with the Universal Category System (UCS) and it is recorded at high quality – 192kHz, 24bit.
The Foley Vault is home to an ever-growing collection of original Foley recordings.
Each library was captured by professional Foley Artists on our in-house Foley Stage using a Sennheiser MKH50 microphone.

Water Pours Vol. 1Â is an extensive collection of water pouring sound effects recorded using a variety of containers. A variety of action has been covered to assist with your SFX editing needs, from the slapping splashes of a plastic tub to the glugging of a glass bottle.
To make this library, our Audio Crasftmen chose commonplace containers and recorded water pouring between them. Every container interaction includes multiple variations, such as long, slow pours or stuttering splashes. Each of these container interactions has been separated into its own folder.
This library is perfect for editing everyday pouring sounds found in your Film, TV, Game and Podcast projects. They can also be manipulated and designed for textural effect.

Wind collection Vol 2 offers gentle breezes to strong gusts, spooky drafts to rare old bamboo field wind sounds. All files are clean and contain no traffic noise or any other human made annoying sounds. This means the wind sounds can cover many productions including documentary, game sounds, movie background, and for all time periods! From medieval settings to unknown times and places, these wind recordings offer a credible background. During 3 years this collection was growing bit by bit, adding variations and useful situations. The rare presence of insects or birds is mentioned in the metadata, but they apply to less than a handful of files.
The acoustic wind collection covers over 3,5 hours of stereo recordings, binaural recordings for immersive wind sounds, and some mono files for specific use.
When Loop is indicated in the filename, the file can be looped as you would expect, but these files are unlike sample loops, or instrument loops: they are of course longer and loop after a good amount of time, sometimes several minutes. The looped files are chosen by their contents and have no moments that are too recognizable if heard a second time, so they are useful for backgrounds.
All files have UCS compliant names and include metadata with useful descriptions.
You can find a Draft folder with stereo and binaural recordings in interesting abandoned places that had a draft close to a door or window. You might hear some dark reverb or cracks in those places that deliver a great ghostly atmosphere.
The bamboo wind recordings are also very special as these were made in old bamboo fields that were not cleaned. This means there were old and broken parts between the weeping bamboo, assuring nice clunks and squeaks.
Other than that you will find many winds, through air, through vegetation, in empty villages, in a small van for specific perspectives, wind through tunnel, very bad recordings with no wind protection for typical interview fails…

A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
